“What??” he totally shocked by what he heard.

Rong Yuan looked like he respected Zhi Long the most. He can be labeled as the son of Zhi Long.

“You don’t believe me either right? I know.. people tend to say that he’s not that kind of person. But, whatever.. I won’t marry that bastard.” she continued to eat her portion again.

Yu Ran was dumbfounded . He then looked at her and said worriedly.

“If you really don’t have any place to stay, you can stay at mine. But only until you find your own place.”

She blinked her eyes at the man in front of her.

“Really?? you let me stay at your house?”

Yu Ran nodded his head.

“Yeay! Thanks!” she almost jump because of happiness.

After they finish their dinner, they return back to the apartment.

Yu Ran let her stay in his bedroom while he sleep on the couch.

‘Tomorrow I need to find a new bed for her.’ he thought before he sleeping.

The next morning, Zhi’s mansion was in uproar because of Zhi Ling’s disappearance and Grim also nowhere to be found.

While Yu Ran just put on the poker face seeing other people start searching for both of them.

In the Zhi Ann’s room, Yu Ran was standing at her side.

“Yu Ran, did my sister come at your place?” she asked.

Yu Ran’s face still has no expression.

“No.”

“Really? I thought she will be at your house.” she rub her chin a little.

“What makes you think that?” he asked.

Zhi Ann chuckle when she heard Yu Ran’s question.

“You think I don’t know that my sister always going out with you strolling in the city in midnight? She had no friends except Grim. So of course she will find you.”

“Well, maybe she’s with Grim. Who knows.”

“Indeed, Grim is her shadow and only person she had as a friend. But she will never risk Grim’s life for her. After all, brother Grim already had a girlfriend.”

Yu Run silent for a moment. He knew about Grim and Zhi Ling. She mentioned to him before that she had no feeling at all at Grim. But she care enough for him.

She also mentioned that Grim already had a girlfriend from the ‘Lee’ organization, but he never interested to know further.

The next week, the day that supposed to be the wedding day turned to be the engagement day. Zhi Ann volunteering to engage with Rong Yuan.

She love Rong Yuan since she was in teenager. But she knew that Rong Yuan never looked at her. His eyes always laid on her sister Zhi Ling. Unfortunately, Zhi Ling never once like him.

Since Zhi Ling run away from home and refused to marry Rong Yuan, her father ask her to replace her sister. She was just 19 years old that time. So they decide to do engagement and when she was 20 they will get married.

Zhi Ling was looking at the king size bed on the display when suddenly a young boy around 5 year old bumped to her legs.

“Owie..” the young boy said while caress his head.

“Baby! Mommy said don’t run. See what you did when you didn’t listen to me?” a beautiful woman said with a firm voice.

“Are you okay?” Zhi Ling bend her body and patted the boy’s head gently.

“Erm.” he nodded his head.

“Ah, I’m sorry for my son’s carelessness.” Xin Me said apologetic to Zhi Ling.

“Eh it’s okay. It’s okay. No big deal.” Zhi smile and looked at the boy again.

“What is your name?” she asked him.

Seeing the beautiful lady in front of him makes him shy a little. He hugs his mother legs and said “Richard.”

Zhi Ling smile.

“You’re so handsome.”

He blinked his eyes. Not understanding Zhi Ling’s mean.

Xin Me already smile and said.

“Do you have any child?”

She looked at the woman and said.

“No. I just got a boyfriend.”

“Oh. I bet when you have a kid, they would look very cute.”

“Richard.. that’s a good name. When auntie had a little girl later, maybe you can play with her or be her friend or you can even marry her since your mom will like my daughter!” Zhi Ling just blurt it out. She had no meaning behind her word.

“Okay.” he said shyly.

“Sure. Sure. I will reserve my boy for your daughter.” they had a casual talk and sometimes they will laugh before they part their ways.

When she go back to their house it already dusk. She happily open the door and greet Yu Ran in the living room.

“Honey Honey.. guess what?” she jump to his side on the couch and grab his arm.

“What?”

“Hey, I asked you to guess. Not to ask.”

“You go out and play again?” he looked at her with a loving gaze.

“Of course. But not only that. Guess again.”

“You..win the lottery?”

“Wrong. I got us a son-in-law.” she said happily.

Yu Ran almost chocked when he heard his girlfriend’s word.

How come she get them a son-in-law if they still not married and don’t even have a daughter!

“Uh..that’s good… I guess?” he lift up his brow.

“Yes. It is good.” she nodded her head before she fled to the bathroom.

“Baby, if you want, we can make one after you take bath.” he said with a loud voice after she closed the bathroom door.

Yes, they’ve been together but he never take advantage to her. They lived together but they sleep in different room for about one year.

His location is very difficult to trace since they not always stayed in one placed and they always change for every month.

To only track his base and location will take about a months, after they receives the location to start the ambush, the placed already been abandoned.

Another year passed. As Zhi Ling live a happy life, Zhi Ann has been live in hell.

In their wedding night, Rong Yuan hit her and **** her. He’s still mad because of he could not get Zhi Ling as his wife.

He knew Zhi Ann had a crush on him but he never pay attention on her since he really like Zhi Ling. But unfortunately, Zhi Ling didn’t like him and even run away from the mansion.

He will torture Zhi Ann to lust his anger. Zhi Ann totally heart broken when what she expected didn’t come true. Her heart really broke.

She sit at the balcony seeing the garden that her sister made when they were kid.

“Zhi Ann, what happen? Did he beat you up again?” Yu Ran asked worriedly.

Faintly smile, Zhi Ann shake her head. But her eyes already lost her shines.

“Tell me, I can help you out from here if you want.”

“There no point to run away from him. He will definitely tied me up again. My father’s life on my hand. If I run, he will kill him.” her voice was sounded like lost hopes inside.

“Then how long you want to let him do what he likes to you? You’re still young. There is a plenty man out there that can loved you.”

“Hmm. This is my fate Yu Ran, please take care of my sister. Loved her like you love your life. I would feel very happy if she can have a happy life.”

“Zhi..”

“Here. This is the latest location.” she handed him a piece of paper.

Yu Ran take the paper and look at it.

“If you really want to save me then..I would really happy if you can kill him and take down all of his empire.”

“Zhi Ann, there’s still times before they started. Let’s go together.”

Shake her head she said. “No. I won’t leave my dad. He’s been sick since the day my sister’s gone.”

She closed her eyes a moment before she continued again.

“Yu Ran, from now on, I release you from being my body guard. You free to go your own way. I wish you a good luck.” she smile after finish her sentence.

Knowing how stubborn Zhi Ann is, he nodded his head helplessly.

“I too wish you a good luck.” he said before he walk out from the mansion.
