It was really ironic but at the very least, Yu Yan could see that he was also someone who was true to himself. He didn’t try to latch on Yu Yan shamelessly just because she now had relationship with Long Family.

Instead, he kept his distance and let her be the one to decide how close she wanted them to be.

“He’s a good businessman.”

Long Ying glanced at his wife and grabbed her hand tighter. “The employees will not be mistreated.”

“Thank you.” Yu Yan smiled and held Long Ying’s hand too. At the very least, she didn’t want to implicate so many people because she wanted to give her father a lesson.

He might not do anything bad to Yu Yan but in hindsight, he didn’t do anything. He didn’t help her when she was in trouble, he didn’t accompany her when she needed it the most, and he simply ignored her.

Aside from the fact that he did meet with his daughter a few times when she came to their old house, their relationship was just like that of a stranger. He didn’t do his duty as a father while Yu Yan could not get close to him.

And now, she just didn’t want to meet with him anymore.

Long Ying’s phone rang and he picked it up. After several seconds, he glanced at Yu Yan. “Kang Mao Lan is in the police station. Do you want to see her?”

Police station?

Yu Yan had just watched how Kang Mao Lan made a mess out of herself by fighting with the other two women. She pondered for a moment.

“Let’s take a look.”

“Ok.”

The police station was located not far from the company, so it didn’t take long for the two of them to arrive in the destination. They were not the only one who came as Yu Zheng Tong was also called.

Sitting inside the car, Yu Yan could see Yu Zheng Tong entering the police station. “Why did they call him?”

“I’ll let you see the security inside and also the conversation through phone call.” Long Ying handed a tablet to Yu Yan.

Internally, Yu Yan was silently wondering just when did Long Ying prepared everything but she chose not to ask and focused her attention to the screen before her. It was clear that the condition inside was not as peaceful as it was outside.

Kang Mao Lan was sitting beside two other women who didn’t look so good. Their faces were swollen and there were various wounds on their bodies, both small and big. It looked extremely bad.

“What happened, Police Officer?” Yu Zheng Tong asked as he walked inside.

“It’s like this, your wife is detained because she’s involved in some fight. Would you like to read her statement?”

Yu Zheng Tong swept his gaze to the room. He furrowed his brows as he could see that there were two other women. It was totally unlike Kang Mao Lan to get involved in street fight with other women unless they provoked her first.

And with Kang Mao Lan’s educational background, why would she fall into scuffle?

“I would like to know the reason for the fight?”

The police officer looked awkward. He sighed. “They’re claiming that they’re the lover of the man over there. However, he said that he’s faithfully married to the woman at the left and didn’t know the other two. After that… they got engaged in a fight.”

Lover?

At this moment, Yu Zheng Tong’s face changed as it turned a few shades darker. He had always thought that it was his fault for not being able to provide well for his wife and children. Even though he had been fed up with Kang Mao Lan, he was always staying faithful to her.

But what he got?

A cheating wife.

It was not even a few hours since their divorce was settled and they were now lawfully divorced and yet… that woman was already so impatience to get with her lover.

Was he only a spare part that Kang Mao Lan kept because he was useful?

Yu Zheng Tong felt that his personal life was truly a mess. He might be able to be a businessman that was capable to earn a lot of money but his personal life was truly in cahoots.

He cared too much for the strangers around him to the point that he neglected his wife and children.

“Hahaha.”

Hearing the laugh, the police officer was also feeling remorseful. He could see that the man was being made cuckold by the woman he married for nearly three decades.

The pain… must be big.

Yu Zheng Tong felt that his entire world truly collapsed this time. He had already determined to part ways with Kang Mao Lan and if she wanted to be with someone else, he wouldn’t stop her. But now…

To think that she was already with someone else during the time they were still lawfully married to each other.

Did she think he was such a pushover?

“We’re already divorced and thus, her matter will no longer concern me.” Yu Zheng Tong’s tone was cold. When he came here, he just wanted to check on her since the police officer called him.

But knowing the reason for her dispute and also the problems here… he didn’t want to see her anymore. The woman he used to care for and also the one whom he entrusted to manage the household, turned out to be such a woman who didn’t even care for him.

He must have been too soft in front of Kang Mao Lan to make her so brazen.

Shaking his head, Yu Zheng Tong slowly walked out of the police station.

The Police Officer also didn’t stop him. Since he had said that he was already divorced, it meant that the matter of his wife couldn’t be handled by him anymore.. He had to call other people to take care of the paper for these two annoying women.
