2 Years Of Restarting - Chapter 215
Yu Yan was silent after she noticed Long Ying’s expression. Slowly, she raised her hand and grabbed his hand. “Let’s go back or do you still have some other works?”
“My work for the day is to protect you, Mrs. Long.” Long Ying chuckled.
“Alright. In that case, you have to help me finish the proposal then.”
“…I don’t have any talent in business.”
“You just need to check the typo.”
“Alright then.”
As the driver, An Lin merely sighed at their conversation. However, he was also currently listening in to the mission that Long Ying had assigned to his brother and his sister in law.
The two of them were busy beating up some people right now.
…
– Long Family Residence –
Long Shu Ting looked at his wife, Zhou Xi An, who was sitting on the chair with Long Ao Jiang on her lap. She raised her head when she sensed her husband looking in her direction.
“Shu Ting?”
“Enter the safe basement. Long Shu Xing will come here.”
Zhou Xi An nodded and carried her son with her tenderly. The young child was sleeping and naturally unaware of the danger that was lurking outside. If they were not careful enough, they would lose their lives.
While Zhou Xi An left, Long Shu Ting walked out of the room towards the master bedroom. It was located not far from his own room but normally no one would be coming near.
There was still some lingering smell of blood in the area as Long Shu Ting knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
Pushing the door open, Long Shu Ting’s eyes landed on his father, who was resting on the bed. He looked sickly and weak, totally different form how he usually looked like. The usual splendor as Long Family Head had completely disappeared without a trace.
“Father,” Long Shu Ting greeted respectfully.
Long Shao Huai looked at his first son without any emotion in his face. His eyes landed on the door behind Long Shu Ting. “When will he come?”
“He’ll arrive here soon, Father.”
“You leave.”
“I understand.”
Long Shu Ting didn’t linger in the room any longer. He swiftly turned around and left the room, leaving only Long Shao Huai staying there along. The old man was laying on the bed weakly yet his eyes were still full of fighting spirit.
There was a machine next to his bed that supported him to live. Around two weeks ago, he fell ill so badly that the doctors didn’t even have any method to cure him and could only prolong his life by using life support.
Death was so near him and there was nothing he could do to stop it from coming.
Before long, the sound of car coming entered his ear. Long Shao Huai merely looked at the door without any intention to move. He was patience enough as he waited for his second son to enter. Time ticked and the sound of footsteps from outside grew louder.
Knock! Knock!
“Come in.”
Long Shu Xing entered into the room. He was dressed in unkempt clothes as if it was clear that he had just finished having fun. His eyes darted around the room before focused on his father.
“Father.”
“Since when did you order the servant to poison me?” Long Shao Huai was direct as he asked the question right away. His eyes were looking at his son as if attempting to uncover the other party’s secret with just his gaze.
Hearing that, Long Shu Xing was stunned but he quickly straightened his body. He shook his head rapidly. “What are you talking about, father? I might be naughty but I will not try to kill anyone!”
“Oh? Really?”
“Yes!” Long Shu Xing nodded and sneered. “Don’t you think the one who’s behind the scene is my first brother? He’s the one who look so amiable on the surface but beneath it, he’s hiding countless secret thoughts.”
Long Shao Huai was calm as he gestured for his second son to continue.
“Father, he must have purposely placed the so called evidence on me so that you’ll doubt me. I’m not as smart as him to be able to poison Father and there’s no way I know the servants around Father as well as him.”
“And… and, even though he’s already the successor, he might be worried that you’ll change your mind, so he chose to kill you first, Father.”
It was not unreasonable but Long Shu Xing was merely speaking without any basis so far. It was clear that he also had no evidence of what he was speaking right now.
“In that case, why don’t you look at this?”
Long Shao Huai pointed at the table not far from where Long Shu Xing was standing. There was a stack of papers on top of the table plus a laptop that had its screen black.
Long Shu Ting looked at the papers and furrowed his brows. “What is this, Father?”
“Why don’t you read it out for me?”
The meeting of Long Shu Xing with the servant.
The record of Long Shu Xing’s conversation.
The bank record of Long Shu Xing’s payment to the assassins sent to kill Long Ying’s wife.
The photos of Long Shu Xing’s disappearance on the night…
Reading the title along with the picture below it caused Long Shu Xing’s face to ashen. He looked at the documents as he felt his scalp turned numb. How? How could they have the record?
He was sure that he played the fool for so long and acted like an aggressive person who would attack from the front. But how come they found so many evidences about what he did so far?
“Father, this is false! I didn’t know who but they’re trying to frame me by dressing up like me!” Long Shu Xing was quick to deny everything. He knew that once he admitted it, his father would never forgive him.. Worst, he might not be able to see the sunlight anymore.
