Yu Xin was clearly unable to calm down a she began more series of cursing towards the doctors and nurse there.

Yu Yan listened as her mind began to digest what she had heard. She looked at Yu Xin with bewildered expression. Didn’t she long to have a child for Bao Tu? Why did she end up aborting the child in the end?

“They call you too?”

The operation didn’t last long as the doctor came out to see them and shook his head. “I’m sorry.”

Yu Yan looked at the doctor and felt a bit loss. Beside him, Yu Zheng Tong only nodded. “I understand.”

The doctor said a few more words but Yu Yan was not paying attention. She was looking at the door where Kang Mao Lan was staying and felt a bit loss. In the end, she turned to look at the doctor.

“Can I… Can I see her?”

“Yes, you can. But be warned that she might not look that good.”

Yu Yan nodded and entered the operation room. The other doctors were currently cleaning up and in the middle of the room was Kang Mao Lan. She was so thin just like a beggar with her face swollen so badly. Her hair was extremely messy and there was no trace of her beauty anymore.

Her eyes socked had sunken in and her bone contour was clearer than before. From outsider point of view, she was someone they would not even bother sparing another glance.

Her eyes were closed while her mouth was curled downwards. It was clear that she was not feeling well even before her death.

“What… happened before?” Yu Yan asked in a low voice, feeling shocked to see Kang Mao Lan in this state. Even if Kang Mao Lan could no longer live lavishly, it should have been possible for her to live normally.. But her current condition… clearly said otherwise.
