2 Years Of Restarting - Chapter 226
“Need help to clean your name?” Long Ying asked in an unhurried tone. For him, it was as easy as asking his men to trace the poison’s record of buying since their father had only found half. With his connection in the underworld, it was as easy as lifting a hand.
He also knew that Long Shu Ting would not try to poison his own father just like how Long Ying would not harm his father and family purposely. What Long Shu Ting did was to allow Long Shu Xing to put the evidence on his back without realizing that it was actually recorded.
That way, the fact that the evidence was fabricated would be found.
Long Shu Ting let out a faint laugh. “If I need your help in such a small matter, how am I worthy of being the head of Long Family? I would appreciate it if you just make the investigation easier for him so that he would be able to see just what kind of son he raised.”
What kind of son he raised?
“Are you not talking about how you’re the one who practically push him down this path?” Long Ying sneered.
Long Shu Ting naturally didn’t answer and continued to smoke calmly. His dark eyes were staring into the distance as if he was capable to see through all layer of disguise and knew the truth beyond all of that.
After a while, Long Shu Ting closed his eyes for a moment, then he turned to look at Long Ying. “Even if I did try to instigate, I never do anything openly. That Old Man will never found out the truth.”
Long Ying didn’t answer. He knew very well that Long Shu Ting was not someone who would not act without having confirmation that he would not be in trouble because of his action.
Thanks to that, no one could stop him.
He was even playing game with his ruthless father through many methods. It was something that Long Ying himself would never dare to attempt unless he wanted to put himself in trouble.
And with so many at the stake, Long Ying was not in the mood to play a game with his father. He would rather wait and see the result of the game between his older brother and his father.
“I see.”
“Do you also think that that Old Man will find out?” Long Shu Ting’s lips curled up to form a cruel smile.
“Who knows? That old Man is not easy to deal with. I don’t want to play with fire because I’m worried that I’ll be burned.”
“Burned? The one who will be burned will not be me.”
The confidence that Long Shu Ting had showed that he had most likely erased all the evidence before making his move. That way, no one would be able to find out even if he did have some connection.
However, Long Ying knew that Long Shu Ting would have prepared backup in case the 1% possibility occurred. He was confident but there was nothing that was absolute until it had already happened.
“Help me to protect Xi An and Ao Jiang. If he really went crazy and try to attack me, at least, I want them to stay alive.” Long Shu Ting put down the cigarette. He looked into a distance as his lips curled up to form a mocking smile. “Not that I would let him harm me so easily.”
Long Ying looked at Long Shu Ting’s side profile then nodded faintly. “Sure. If that’s what you want, I’ll help you out.”
“Heh, you speak as if you’re doing me a favor while you actually wish for his fall too, don’t’ you?”
“They’re back.” Long Ying didn’t answer and merely changed the conversation. His silver eyes now had turned into brown color but it didn’t affect his ability to see further than what ordinary people could.
Long Shu Ting arched his eyebrows and tossed the cigarette to the trashcan nearby. “I don’t know whether I should envy you for your special ability or to be grateful that I was born earlier than you.”
Long Ying chuckled. “Each has their own share of troubles.”
Being born first meant that Long Shu Ting had to undergo training ever since he was young to become the heir. Being born with silver eyes meant that Long Ying also had to train bitterly because he had to inherit the Dragon Clan.
Both have their own difficulties that was different from each other.
While the two of them were talking, Yu Yan and Zhou Xi An walked side by side on the residential areas. The two of them had never been here before as it was the middle range residential areas. Most people who stayed here were all busy working when it was daytime, so it was also quiet.
Yu Yan looked at Long Ao Jiang, who was following Zhou Xi An happily.
“Are you planning to have a child?” Zhou Xi An asked when she saw how Yu Yan watched her son.
“Yeah.”
“Hmm, make sure that you take care of your health the most when preparing to have a child.” Zhou Xi An smiled and patted her son’s head tenderly. “It’s not easy to carry him for 9 months but it’s also an experience that you will never want to miss.”
“Oh?”
Zhou Xi An smiled sweetly. “When you become a mother, you’ll understand.”
Yu Yan laughed and nodded. She planned to have one and naturally the two of them had been working hard for that. However, after the conversation about that was over, the two of them went silent once more.
They were not close to each other and naturally didn’t know what they should talk with each other.
It was a bit awkward.
