5th Rated God - Volume 1 Chapter 14 Mortals Are Scary
Numerous mortals clashed and wagged war. One side wore matching golden armor with a red roster like mohawk and held spears and shields. They were tightly knit together and in constantly changing formations.
They would place their shields in certain formations and create a a dome or a wall and would stab their spears in the openings if the enemy got close.
On the opposing side they wore no such matching outfits and looked like a bunch of ragtag put together. They donned a whole variety of weapons and gear and in the mix where a few monsters. One muscular monster had a body of a man and a head of a bull! One was even a combination of a lion, goat and even had a snake for a tail!
The crappy god had never seen such a specimen in all its life. It definitely recolonized the animal parts but it was clueless how such a animal came to be born in nature.
Rather work as a team the ragtag army was given its own freedom and did what ever they wanted. The monsters rampaged and the humans rushed forwards with their weapons, hoping to reap some lives and rewards.
The armored side was definitely in the advantage and utilized perfect teamwork and executed organized actions. The foot soldiers were and shield and served as a barricade to protect those in the back. To the back where mages that caused widespread damage with their spells.
Once every while a huge fireball was seen and hurled at the opposing army killing hundreds. Even the huge monsters would suffer.
The crappy little god was reminded of its own pea-sized fireball. A invisible tear rolled down its two dog faces. Oh yeah it has yet to not it has gained another head. It felt natural and it didn’t really phase the clueless god at all. It felt like it always had a second head and in fact felt like it was missing a third one. Just what could that feeling it felt mean…..?
It was not to say that the opposing army didn’t have magic users as well, but they didn’t link up like the other army and could only do minimum damage with their limited individual strengths. Compared to the other army they lacked complete coordination, but they out number the army by several thousands still, so it was a stalemate at the moment.
The armored side remained still and hardly advanced, while the opposing side advanced only to be slaughtered by the foot soldier and their impenetrable defense. While the mages safely launched spells that destroyed their allies.
The situation was not looking too good and can’t be continued or there would only be meaningless sacrifices.
At this critical time, 10 powerful life signatures moved forward in fan shape. Some wielded huge swords and axes and had gruesome faces and bodies riddled with scares. Some where in sketchy clothing that hid their deformed bodies and faces. One in particular was a skeleton entirely. The skeleton raised its bone staff (figures) and tapped it on the ground.
A deathly halo rippled from the spot the staff taped from and to the armored armies’s horror, skeletons rose from the ground and previouse dead unmoving bodies started to get up. It was especially shocking when the corpses with golden armor also got up. This angered the armored side to no end!
The cowardly god inhaled a sharp breath. “Holy crap! He can do that!?!?!”. The crappy little god had little knowledge of magic and had never seen such a ghastly sight.
“Wow that ice barrier was huge!!!”, at this time the weak little god exclaimed as yet another one of the individuals casted an ice spell that spanned over the entire army and blocked many incoming fireballs.
“If that was me I would be cut in half….”, another individual who wielded a weapon slashed at the once though impenetrable armored side’s formations. Their round shields became half moons and even their golden armor was sliced through.
“Welp the armored ones are screwed”, the amateur god made a snap decision and quickly designated the demise of the armored side.
It was losing its interest and wanted to focus its attentions somewhere else, then there was another revelation that turned the entire situation around.
While the armored side was getting destroyed and their formation starting to crumbled. Many brave warriors were easily killed by the attacks of the 10 individuals. If they continued to do as they please the victor would be them, but not all hope was lost!
The necromancer was busy making new skeleton soldiers rise form the dead when silver lights flashed and pierced its skull.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several more such lights emerged and pierced the Necromancer. After the brightness subsided, only did they see what was the origin of the light.
It was a arrow! A bright arrow with a silver metallic shine was embedded in the necromancer’s skull. Even though they have been fired from their bows, they started to dislodged themselves and float in mid air and quickly returned back to some direction.
The entire battlefield was shocked and followed the path of the arrows, only to see a dozen or so women sprinting at inhuman speeds.
“Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!”, roared the the golden army. They raised their shields and banged them with their spears, creating a rhythmic beat. The dire situation was reversed and their moral soared with reliable reinforcements.
“Whoa!!! Its the huntresses of Artemis!!!”
“We’re saved!!!!!”
“The gods are watching over us!!!”
The worthlessness god already thought that the necromancer was already OP, a dozen new figures showed up out of the blue and defeated him already!
Mortals are scary!!!!! (Insert scared face emoji here)
