5th Rated God - Volume 1 Chapter 17 I Should Leave Now..
The outline of the squirming heads chasing after a golden shining dot can be seen. The crappy god was previously spectating as it coincidentally sensed dot-like life signatures, but the amount of heads grew so rapidly it could see with its n.a.k.e.d eye.
This brought shivers to the the shitty god.
The heads elongated and multiplied with no end. Even in this situation the man still persisted and believed that if he dealt enough damage he would defeat the monster.
Too bad that plan will never come to fruition as the Hydra manipulated its heads to form a cage-like shape that spanned thousands of meters and he was trapped! The cage even started to close in and slowly take away the mobility and area of where the man could dodged towards.
The bright light that the bow emitted and the arrows he shot, it’s light was swallowed up in a sea of Hydra heads and the wave like movements that its necks produced. Explosions could still be heard and it was apparent that the man was desperately fighting to the end. Unfortunately they were muffled and getting softer and softer.
The crappy god sent a prayer to the man. It totally thought that he was going to die.
“You put up a nice fight.”, the god proceeded to turn its back from the battle.
………………………..
Currently inside the sea of heads the man was incased in a spherical prison. The light his bow gave off revealed the “walls” of his prison. It was entirely made of large roots with dragon scales!
The space that it was stuck in is getting smaller and smaller. The man knew it was the end, but he isn’t give up.
“My gods I have failed you…. Please grant me the strength to deal one last blow…”, the man said in a solemn tone.
He stopped his useless actions and he held the bow towards his head. He did this ever so slowly and tenderly. He stopped shooting arrows, he even stopped flying. He just ceased all actions and free felled. He never let go of the bow and continued to tenderly hold it and whisper some things.
Seeing the man giving up the Hydra directed his heads to all pounce at the falling man! The man with his back to towards the open mouth of a head, was about to be eaten.
The heads inched closer and closer. The man fell nearer and nearer. The Hydra was in ecstasy, the fight was about to end! The pain it felt was no joke. His kind is about to be freed! They can live with no fear and no be under the tyrannical rule of the gods!
A Hydra head opened its mouth and expanded it more than twice its size, ready to swallow the man whole. Inside its mouth was a poisonous mist that churned continuously, ready to engulf the man. Once the man entered its mouth, he will instantly melt, digested, and finally die.
The Hydra was certain of its victory. The sacrifices his kind payed to keep it safe where immense. Monster like them existed only for them to be stepping stones for mortals to show their worth to the gods. When it first hatched from its egg it showed immense potential compared to his brothers and sisters.
A Hydra’s potential was judged by the number of heads they have. Inferior Hydras usually have at least 3 to 4. Others had 6 to 9, but it had 12 heads at birth!
It was a sign! It was considred the hope of their kind. It was put under the highest protection and never been allowed to be seen, or the humans will gather at the chance to kill such a magnificent trophy. The resourced it received where form the hard work of its brethren.
They would capture sheep and even humans to feed it. It grew day by day in the safe of its tribe, but accidents happen.
The Hydra was naive once and was discovered when it wanted to explore the world. It was always enclosed to the marsh lands with uneventfully boring days so it couldn’t resist even with the warning form the elders.
Little did it know that the world rejected it and was hunted down by supposed “heroes”. With serious wounds it trudged back to it home with more than half its heads missing.
It would never forget as it home was lit on fire and when he had ran with the urging of the a.d.u.l.ts.
They held off the flood of humans and the detested golden armor they donned. His kind was slaughtered and with each of its heads carrying a youngling, it ran.
It tirelessly fled and was tasked with the heavy responsibility of restarting its entire tribe with the batch of younglings that it carried. It tirelessly protected them and took on the task of what his tribe use to do. He had to hunt and constantly worry about not being found.
When they grew up it had no choice but to let them go. If it was discovered its head would be too big of a temptation for humans.
The humans were fanatical and crave the attention of the gods. If they perform well enough they just might obtain huge benefits.
Eventually the hydra had no choice but to remain hidden as it knew its role was huge for all monster kind. It heart ached every time its tribe members often never cam back from their hunt.
The younglings grew up and the tribe regained its population, but the scar the human gave it would never recover.
After quickly reminiscing over these painful memories, it focused its task on devouring the man.
The previously thought, given up man, suddenly glowed with a sunlike flame! Just as it was about to be swallowed he burned with power.
It was a similar phenomenon just like the how the sculptor disappeared! The shitty god’s interest was perked and it closely watched the event happen. It was extremely curious about what happened to the sculptor and the same phenomenon was repeating it self again!
The shine it gave off escaped even the prison of heads. The prayers of the man was answered, the condition have been met. The man sacrificed everything and in return, the main launched an all out last attack.
The man turned into mist and dispersed and all that was left was a massive energy ball. The mist was like a ghost and floated towards the sky. It passed through the heads, the energy ball, and everything in its path was ignored.
The Hydra was shocked and angered. It was it’s kill! How dare it run away! It didn’t know what happened, but it knew that the gods have intervened, but it must deal with the energy ball. IT had a feeling that if it didn’t stop the energy, both armies would be wiped out.
It luminated though the cracks of the prison and the heads where desperately trying to cover it up. The cascading shadows the wiggling heads made, was interesting. Like a revolving night lamp, the army below viewed this interesting light show.
Little did they know just what danger they currently are in.
The cowardly god,”I should leave now!”
