5th Rated God - Volume 1 Chapter 70 New Replacement Sphinx..
Currently in the realm of gods, Horus was with his advisor and mother. Thoth was sad that his lord was now gone but he was still the advisor of the new supreme god. He worried of his new student the silly little bird. They had other matters to attend to. Not even gods can predict everything, and hoped that in the Duat, the little dummy manages to get to safety.
Set who was attached to the serpents body unleashed unholy disasters. Mist and rain of blood washed over planets and abominable creatures spawned from his body. They rushed at Horus like ants. Horus was no slouch, light and flames burned them at the slightest touch. Horus reverted back from his hawk form and took on his humanoid from. I giant man with a hawk head welding a curved bladed manifested. Set on the other hand had no leeway of shifting into a more compatible form as his take over of Apophis’s body was less than ideal, none the less the freak was more than destructive enough.
Set welded his unholy powers to conjure ominous clouds that produced red lightning. With a wave of his hand Horus pushed aside thunderstorms and sandstorms whose sand flung form the wind could easily cut your skin. Set poured his poisonous breath and Horus would shower the victims with healing light. Horus would lash out slashed of fire and light that would leave gashes on the giant torso of the serpent, only for Set to regenerate like a lizard. Horus would disturb each of his action by performing miracles that vanquished such deeds and vice-versa.
The mortals and lesser gods where in awe as the two powerful figures distorted reality on such a huge scale. This cycle of destruction and protection repeated for quite a bit a the expense of the lower beings who didn’t know better. Before both of them realized they were too equally matched! Any more wast of time just depleted their own forces against outsiders. Set and Horus’s fight led to no ones benefit other than their enemies so they played out a truce. When outside troops started to clamor at the edges of their boundaries, did they only stop.
Eventually the common enemy forced them to come to a common ground. They eventually rallied their forces and decimated the wannabe invaders hoping of taking advantage of their inner turmoil. While the Set and Horus gained their new powers they couldn’t end the other at all. They had no finishing moves that was a sure kill! This caused them both to unleashed their pent up frustration on the intruders.
After that one dared attack the Egyptian realm, mainly due to 4 individuals. Despite the loss of their surpream god, they gained 4 new powerful individuals. Horus the new ruler in place of Ra, Set who took over the body of apophis and the powerful sorceress Isis. After being dragged through turmoil they only emerged stronger! Not to mention the grief stricken Bastet who went into a rage induced battle frenzy. She ripped apart any intruders and learned the name of the crazed lioness, Sekhmet.
Their realm eventually grew weary of battle and since neither side could kill the other, the Egyptian realm took on a passive stance on a ice thin peace that could shatter at any moment. Set and Horus made concession with one another and their famous prowess was made know to the other worlds. Their actions had reconfirmed the mortals beliefs and faith points poured in like a vast ocean. They proved themselves to be not so easily bullied and outside forces backed off. Set and Horus were the new faces that dominated their realm with utmost certainty with the old players gone, little to their knowledge of what was happening in a certain area in the underworld…
You would expect Set to gain a bad reputation and cause many to hate his existence with his… you know…None the less fear was still a form of worship that empowered Set. In fact, contrary to beliefs, humans are such weird beings and quite a few joined his cult! Perhaps due to the chaos and events unfolding, some humans went bonkers and opted to worship the shady Set rather than prominent goodness of Horus. Many were once loyal to Horus, but opted out to believe in even the devil since their god couldn’t save them in their situation. These evil cultist admired his power to a uncanny power and were drawn to him.
In the end stupid humans were simply just vassals that supplied gods with faith, nothing more. Another major development that happened was that Horus made a huge decision that shocked the gods and humans alike. Yes it was the will of horus the god of light, sun, and justice! His new powers and inheritance had been invoked and in remembrance he split the sun itself!
Bits of flaming debris undid itself from the sun and formed a new entity! Soon the entire Egyptian realm would know of a new small hovering star next to the sun they worship.
“Im remembrance our little phoenix this little Star is in honer of her”, Horus declared at the end of the battle.
All the lessor gods bowed and mortals knelled in awe. The various champions and priest started to receive divine messages and ordered to spread the tale of Little Sun the last phoenix of Egypt and how it used its last dying breath to protect their realm. Its status was greatly elevated and even seemed to become a mascot of sorts.
“May she rebirth like the true phoenix she is!”, Horus hoped that attaching this notion like how Ra form always underwent a rebirth, perhaps this will strengthening his little sibling.
Funeral rite where also issued for the many fallen. Hundred thousands of sarcophagus were crafted over the unprecedented amount of death and bodies where constantly underwent the procedure of mummification. The priest had their work cut out for themselves as many workers worked to preserve the corpses and other rites to give them safe passage to Duat.
Even Horus himself paid respect to these brave soldiers, and a projection of his form graced them with their presence. “I guarantee on the name of my father, that Osiris god of the death reward them well in the after life.”, Horus’s voice echoed and left encouraging words.
This act brought tears to the grieving population and easily earned them a wealthy stock of new faith points.
Author: Nice promotion tactic! *gives thumbs up*
Horus: …..
Another development that happened is that the famed lovers forever bound to be serrated have been pardoned! It the interest of the realm Set and Horus undid their restriction with halves of their keys. They still play an important catalyst where their realm depended on them to stand and live on, literally as their body made up of the sky and earth. For now Ged and Nut could only met through possessing humans and while their main bodies are to function as normal. Without Ra’s last words, Set and Horus would have probably continued to force them into dormancy and continued on as usual.
“The battle with the frost giants had caused various problems and a world was partially frozen.”, Thoth reported.
The Egyptian realm is a land of sun and were definitely not familiar with Ice. Thoth advised him to solve it as a priority.
Even if he wanted he didn’t know how… just as he was contemplating, the sun started to flash and a concentrated ray fell on the frozen planet. Horus just vaguely and carelessly had a notion of wanting to try it, never did he expect he had the ability to do so!
“I can do that?”, Horus thought in amazement. There was much to find out about his new powers and authorities….the battle with Set, truly didn’t reflect a fraction of his true potential. A ray was gentle and slowly the glacier of ice that covered the planet was melted. The mortals cheered and an influx of faith was generated once again.
As Horus fixed each issue the mortals would know of his deeds and offer prayers of gratitude. With Thoth and his mother by his side he slowly rebuilt and stabilized his realm as well as his position as the new, true leader of the realm.
“Sir we need a new gat keeper for the Key, we must dedicated a new guardian of the key!”
A line of sphinx appears before Horus, each a potential new gate keeper.
“I like math riddles!”
“I like literary riddles!”
“I like joke riddles!”
Horus,”…”
All of the lion human faced monsters stated their favorite riddles. Horus couldn’t help but remember the dirty riddle loving Sphinx…
Horus: Are all sphinxes this eccentric!?!?!
….
Just outside of their seemly happy and rebuilt empire at the very outer rim of the territory of the Egyptian realm a enormous body can bee seen slithering around the the territory any intruders who still wanted to invade was greatly detoured by this terrifying monster.
In the grasp of the huge serpent lengthy body was a red planet path was wrapped around in its eerie pretense. Black and red statues of a mysterious dog like creature and snakes were erected. Cultist in black clothing were fervently worshipping them. In a very scary temple, a women in chains was being held….
