5th Rated God - Volume 1 Chapter 72 Purgatory
It was far from home and in a extremely dangerous and unknown environment! The underworld is usually for the dammed and sinful who committed horrible sins to be punished for all of eternity! No soul or being will have a lick of good in here! They were the hated and abandoned by the gods!
The mutt started to wander around and it often cam across skull and bones and pits filled with fire. The picture was a bit too spicy for its taste. For now it simply decided to wander and search for information. It had to get back to Mama Isis and its big bro Horus.
Its Phoenix form suddenly changed into an entirely different form so its tolerance to fire seemed to diminish, but this strange new form wasn’t totally without resistance, so it wasn’t too much of a discomfort in purgatory . It ran like the wind ignoring the smoldering hot floor and its 3 head each looking at a different directions. Oddly enough it got use to its new body was very quick on its feet like it was always born in it.
“Where am I?”, the mutt asked it self, it didn’t really have much knowledge on other realms, not that he did of the one he previously lived in. It only had the basic understanding of of a few rummers and big shot names.
“Affirmative, you are in Christian hell, purgatory. On the seventh circle, violence)”, an old voice sounded.
(Based this version of hell off Dante’s inferno)
It only thought to itself it never thought that a voice would answer it!
“Who are you?!?!”
“Replying, I am your system, host.”
“Since when did you have this feature!?”
“….Update”
“Huh, why do you sound so weird?”, the tone and voice was completely different from professor Thoth’s monotone and life less voice. IT remembered how often he would drift into coma form his emotionless tone.
Thoth:…..
“…”, the voice didn’t say anything, the mutt felt it was slightly avoiding the question.
“It so life like…”, thought the mutt, it then stopped caring, at least it would have a more interesting companion on its unpredictable journey
“How many faith points do I have?”, it asked next. IT precious faith points will surly come in handy.
“Zero”, its hopes were mercilessly crushed.
“ZERO!?!?”, the mutt stopped in its tracks.
“How am I even surviving?!”
“Replying, Your form does not require faith points to sustain your form”
“Replying, the environment is supplying you with power”
“Notice, you are incapable of obtaining any new faith generated due to distance issues”
Faith is like a reception, go figure.
Come to think of it the air and hellish fire may be unpleasant but it still felt a instinctive fondness and familiarity.
“Why the heck have I become a dog!?!?!”
“Correction, species host currently is in is a Cerberus”
“Whats a cerberus?”
Thoth: We covered this years ago in magical creature studies!!!
The mutt: I forgot…
Thoth: You need extra tutoring.
The mutt: Never!!!!
“A multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving. A inhabitant of Tartarus, ruled by the god of the dead in the greek realm, Hades.”, the both system patiently explained.
Mama Isis never told it how to wiled magic in different environments!!!!
What a predicament with no faith points its magic and power were sure to be greatly weakened! Come to think of it can it even use magic?
The mutt started to chant some words of power and faint hyroghpics appeared, but they were extremely faint and transparent.
“Warning, due to incompatibly your magic will not be able to present itself to its fullest”
“… well at least I I should count myself lucky I could even use it at all…”
“If only I was like mama, I would have to worry about impediment in environments.
“Correct, higher gods master their powers and magic they would have no problem casting magic and exerting their full potential in any situation”, the both system informed it.
“Oh right I need to check of my treasures!!”, it proceeded to take stock of its arsenal. It telekinetically hovered the eye like pendent and searched its contents.
All of it’s treasures it received form Isis were gone with hell’s deathly air. It’s spacial treasure Horus gave him was the only one that managed to survive its black flames as well as the hell’s aura. All of its godly herbs and medical treasures radiated with life could not survive in the life drained hell.
“Thanks bro…”, looking at the pendent it couldn’t help but be grateful to its big bro’s generosity and yearn to be back home…
In it’s arsenal right now are just a few of the more precious medical herds preserved in especial containers including it’s phoenix tears, that were protected by a special vial that could protect and preserve them even in hell. At least if it was injured it could heal itself, the mutt thought.
There was also a special reed harvested from Duat itself, a plant that grew in the underworld managed to survive in similar environments. In fact it was growing vigorously and it was in its native environment it took note of its stock and items. Even the mutt remembered what Isis told it and its miraculous effects.
“Ill put that away for now…”
“Nice!”, while rummaging it found that there were still many daggers it stole from Loki! When a flash of repressed memories hit it! It suddenly remembered! The strange dagger Loki almost killed him with was nowhere to be seen! It stupidly tried to search its own body to see if it was still lodged in its heart, but it was completely fine.
“Oh, welp…”, the mutt just decided to not worry about it since it couldn’t find any clues, and continued on its journey.
As it travels toward to inferno of fire and torment the mutt finally started to seem some imps with pitched forks stabbing dammed souls and sinners.
“Oh a Cerberus? Little brethren what brings you here from Tartarus? Have also come to make a living?”, the imp talked while still continuing to stab a sinner.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”, the soul screamed.
“…..”, the mutt was speechless at the imp nonchalantly torturing a soul in chains. It felt extremely uncomfortable by the una.d.u.l.terated violence the imp showed.
“Eh? Umm yes!”, this demon sure is unusually approachable. In the lessons it had with Thoth it learned that demons inhabiting purgatory were malicious being who loved to tortured and create misery.
“Guess its not good to prejudice…” the mutt thought.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”, the sinner being tortured screamed again.
The mutt: I take that back…
