99 Days Trapped in the Body of the Royal Prince’s Wife - Chapter 28
After feeling annoyed with Nathan and Arion’s attitude which made her even dizzier in facing a questionable situation, Clara decided to come to the hospital to just look at her body and hope to meet Michael there. .yeah, she couldn’t deny that after calling her boyfriend she missed him even more especially now that she was really confused.
Clara got out of the taxi and paid the fare to the driver. After that, she walked into the hospital with a brownish white nuance that was so magnificent that it consisted of several floors. The girl continued to walk down the white corridor until she occasionally smiled at the person who greeted her when she accidentally met or made eye contact with her.
After a few minutes of walking, Clara finally arrived at the VIP room where her body was supposed to be in a coma. But something strange she saw. She saw the nurse was cleaning the room, even her body wasn’t there there wasn’t Michael, her uncle, Mia, or her aunt. She who was confused immediately approached the nurse who was removing the sheet from the bed.
“Nurse, where’s Casey?” asked Clara.
The nurse turned to look at Clara and said, “Miss Casey has been transferred. Her family asked the hospital to transfer her home.”
“Moving her to the house?”
“Yes … Because they don’t want to be away from Miss Casey so they decided to treat her at home under the supervision of doctors and nurses and continue to use medical equipment,” explained the naturally black-haired nurse.
Clara sighed, then looked around in frustration.
‘Why didn’t Michael tell me about this and . . . it’s bad. If my body is moved at home then Michael will always look after it there and that means he will always be close to Mia.’ Clara had a monologue to herself inwardly.
Drett … drett …
Her phone, which was in the small bag she was wearing, rang. Clara immediately took the sophisticated object and saw an incoming call from Nathan, making her even lazier, and decided not to answer the call even now she turned off her phone.
Clara came out of the room and walked down the corridor feeling very annoyed. ‘Oh my God, why do I have to be in this position? I’ve always wanted attention from Michael but why when he really cares for me and is always there for me, I can’t feel it at all because my soul is in this damn body! I’m tired … I’m tired of being Nathan’s wife!’
___
Nathan looked angrily at Benny and Willy who were now in his study. The man was standing back and forth in front of his two bodyguard with his hand on his hips, trying to call Clara but the number was no longer active.
“Damn it!” he cursed.
Benny and Willy looked down.
Nathan looked back at Benny and Willy with annoyance. “Why did you let Clara go alone? Don’t you remember that she almost died from being poisoned? That means she’s still being targeted for the killing because the mastermind of the poison case hasn’t been caught yet!”
“Sorry, Mister. we’ve tried to stop her Clara but she can’t be prevented at all. She didn’t want us to escort her, she was so angry that we didn’t dare to argue.”
“But you should have followed her when she was gone..you can guard her against afar… you can monitor her without he knowing!” Nathan shouted in annoyance, even breathing hard. “Now look… we don’t know where she is, we don’t even know how to track her down. You guys are so stupid… stupid!”
“Sorry, sir ..,” said Benny, bowing his head.
“Now look for her and get other bodyguards to look for her too. Don’t you dare show me your face if you haven’t found her yet!” cried Nathan angrily and decisively.
“Okay, sir,” said Benny followed by Willy who immediately interrupted. They quickly left the study while Nathan remained there and shifted to sit on the couch.
Nathan was silent, staring blankly at the table where there was still the food that Clara had brought, and he hadn’t had time to finish it.
‘Why did she get so angry just because I refused her wish… I refused with excuses…I could not interfere in the conspiracies of the accident case because Casey’s family had the right and responsibility to take care of the case. She and I couldn’t have just interfered when she hadn’t known Casey that long!’ Nathan monologued with himself in amazement because Clara was so different and this time showing even more strange differences. ‘She’s never even behaved like this to me just because of a new friend.’
Drett … drett ….
His phone tucked away in his trouser pocket rang. Nathan immediately grabbed the sophisticated object and saw an incoming call from his mother, then immediately answered.
“Hello, Mom.”
“Nathan, where is Clara? Now mommy is at your mansion, but Clara isn’t there.” Diana asked over the phone.
“She was here earlier, but now she’s gone somewhere,” Nathan replied curtly.
“Go… You don’t know where she went?”
“No mom.” Nathan rolled his eyes, imagining that his mother would lecture him for letting Clara go alone when in fact Clara didn’t want to be accompanied by anyone. “Did Mommy come with Frederika and Patricia?” he asked changing the subject.
“Yeah… mommy came with her and her nanny too,” answered Diana.
Suddenly Nathan frowned. “Why did Mama come with her and her Nanny?”
“That’s because she wants to be with you, so mom wants her to stay at your mansion for a few days,” Diana explained.
“Well then,” Nathan said lazily then immediately hung up the phone without saying goodbye. he threw his phone on the sofa, silent with annoyance and even more annoyed that there was a child he didn’t expect in his mansion right now.
“I’m sure after this Patricia will come with the excuse of wanting to accompany Frederica, then disrupting my togetherness with Clara… I’m even sure that Clara will be in a bad mood because of her!” Nathan said annoyed. he got up and paced back and forth thinking about where Clara was now.
“Could she be going back to her parents’ house? Or maybe she’d visit the hospital to see Casey who she cares about so much?” Nathan guessed.
Instead of just sitting in the office feeling uneasy and not focused on work anymore, Nathan finally decided to leave the office, looking for Clara who was confused and somewhere now.
___
Clara walked through the sidewalk at a slow pace, staring blankly and occasionally wiping away the tears that had fallen from her eyes. She cried, yes …. the woman wept for her unfortunate fate. lived without parents since childhood, always hated by her cousin who was very jealous of her because her uncle cared more about her … and she had no friends to confide in other than her uncle and aunt.
‘Oh my God… why… why did this kind of fate happen to me. .where… where is happiness for me? Why is it always so hard?’
Clara stopped by the railing where there was a black lounger. She sat there, watching the leaves fall from the trees just because of the wind. she saw a lot of couple walkers, who seemed relaxed with life, while she carried the burden of two lives which were about herself and Clara.
