A Berserker Mob, I’m Going to Participate in the Main Story - CH 42.2
The Pride Of Noble [Part 2]
“Nobles are fighters!”
“Don’t think that a little girl like you can kill this Eden Courtenay!”
“Filthy lackeys! You can only be strong with the weak! Is hiding behind a golem the only way to fight?”
“If you want to kill me, bring that monster Signe!”
Former Ada. Naina of resignation. A vain avenger. Signe’s puppet.
It has stuck in her mind and won’t go away. The image of Count Courtenay and his voice.
She attacked the Courtenay family with six puppets entrusted to her by Signe and a total of ten people, including Signe’s subordinates and those who had run away with her from the Vince family.
As a result, she lost three dolls, two of Signe’s men, and three of those who had left the family.
All three dolls were destroyed, and some of the bodies were not even taken out of the house.
The objective of killing Count Courtenay was achieved. Originally, it was supposed to be just him and his bodyguards, but they decided to kill everyone who was in the mansion. Including the servants.
Naina was again licking her chops.
Even though he was the head of a noble family, he was only a middle-aged man with a disheveled human body. He was not even worth talking about.
He couldn’t fight anyway.
It would be troublesome if he hides behind guards and runs around.
It’s annoying when he cries and begs for his life.
I was thinking about nothing but these things as I dragged my lazy body along. All I could think about was fulfilling Signe’s instructions. Only about myself.
When I opened the lid, the Count was waiting for me.
He had deployed only the minimum number of people to the mansion, but the elite.
Naina and the others were hit hard by the counterattack.
The soldiers were deadly soldiers who were more intent on fighting off the enemy than protecting the Count.
They would come at them whether one of their arms was cut off or a hole was punched in his gut.
The Count himself, while protecting his servants, unleashes powerful magic, which is not the kind of magic one would use indoors.
Naina broke without a moment’s thought. She swallowed.
She fled, keeping the dolls in front of her, never making eye contact with the Count himself or his soldiers.
Fortunately for her, those powerful puppets.
By the time she had slaughtered all of the elite apprentices, the Count himself had lost both of his arms and nearly half of his face.
A shaved nose. Ripped cheeks. One of his eyes was crushed and still glaring.
The Count shouts. He fights. He does not break. He does not stop.
Even though Naina was on the run and the damage had accumulated, it is no exaggeration to say that the three dolls were destroyed by the Count after he lost both arms.
A mere human race. A cowardly city nobleman.
There is no way they can be a match for me, a demon tribe …… that also boasts an amount of mana that could be called a demon person.
The nobility, for example, are cowards who can’t even fight. Who are so intent on intrigue and gain, of course.
In what way?
The Count fought to the end of his life. And Naina could not look him in the eye properly until the end. She even fled from his corpse.
Fear.
It’s not the same as it was with Al. It is not fear of the strong. Fear of dead soldiers who are willing to fight to the death.
The same goes for servants. They are powerless, but they resisted until the end, even after the death of their master.
Because of this, they could not leave easily after killing the Count. They had to kill everyone.
A light wave of the puppets’ hands would have killed them. Despite such vulnerability, each of them attacked with a sword in their hands. The upper half of the servant’s body, cut in half from the waist up, still gripped the dolls. Even in death, they bite down and do not let go. They came running toward her, splattering their guts.
Naina has learned. Once again about her own weakness. And the insanity of those who are willing to fight to death.
It didn’t matter how much mana she had.
What is it about having a lot of mana? Because you can use powerful magic. if so what?
I’m shaking and can’t move. I am unable to fight, and I am losing even to the commoners of humans.
After escaping the Courtenay family, she found herself crying. She was wailing like a child. She was crying because she was scared and afraid.
(I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home! Why have I come to this place?)
She can’t leave now.
