A Casual Boy In Another World - Chapter 21 Ready Your Bows Fire
As the command was executed, the hundred Book Users in the Control Company all whispered, “Wind Barricade” as if it was scripted and synchronized on purpose.
Cass stared at the Book Users and saw that attached under their cloaks were tens if not hundred Skillbooks.
He didn’t hope to get out and more than before when a huge barrier in front of the white tiger’s trajectory congealed from the wind itself. The huge wind barrier was made out of little wind barriers that were cast by the Book Users. This was obvious since the little wind barriers are not perfectly aligned with each other. Maybe because the Holy City is too peaceful for them to have a practice or that is just the best they can do.
The white tiger surprisingly accelerated mid-air as if she had wings that flapped, fearing nothing even the wind barrier in front of it.
At the same time, from the Magic Control Squad, they’ve unleashed binding spells as of they were spamming. Purple chains came out of their palms which were all directed to the white tiger’s location.
These purple chains swooshed through the air and were fast enough to the white tiger that was accelerating. The tens of purple chains twisted itself forming a tornado-like figure, trying to eat the flying white tiger.
Cass just held onto the white tiger’s fur and could only do nothing but stare while holding the three cubs tightly.
To Cass, the white tiger was still an unknown species to him. He only knew that it was a tiger, it was immensely big, it was a mother of three cubs, it’s white, and it was a monster predator that is not nocturnal. It seemed to be strong but when the binding purple chain whirled around the white tiger on its back and tightly surrounded it like snaked slithering around, the white tiger just shrugged it off by kicking it as if it was air. Cass obviously has no idea how strong each purple chain was let alone how strong when they are this many but he was sure that he couldn’t move if it was him that was caught by that, even if it was a single chain.
As if the white tiger had wings, it changed its trajectory and spun around the air many times to avoid those incoming chains to avoid getting slowed down even if a bit. If she knew that these hundred thousand soldier does not have any intention to hurt them then she wouldn’t be this desperate to escape.
The swarms of soldiers below, on the earth that were unable to do anything or not necessarily needed to be watched as if it was an entertainment. Their only problem was their ear. Some were still bleeding. The nearer to the center the more injured they are. Healers hurriedly use some healing technique that can heal multiple people at once and then moved on to the others. They are ignorant of what was happening above since they were absolutely sure that a man riding a tiger couldn’t possibly escape from a hundred thousand men, although the tiger surprisingly flew. However, their impression of the situation along with their complexion completely changed when they saw how powerful the white tiger is.
If they were questioned, they would say that they were lucky that they didn’t have to travel deeper into the forest to find that one man. They wouldn’t have to be troubled with monsters as strong as their commanders approaching them when they are already troubled by the forest’s terrains.
A hundred thousand soldiers couldn’t possibly maintain their formation as a legion in this kind of terrain so it was extremely inconvenient for them if there is suddenly an attack from a stronger monster. But since they’ve reached a wide grassy plain then they are assured that nothing would go wrong when they saw what they are looking for.
However, when they saw that the white tiger was about to escape. Worried faces can be seen from everyone from the Legion Commander to a simple Squad Foot Soldier. They don’t want to fail and then continue to search in this vast forest since it wouldn’t take this easy any longer, the wanted man will already be cautious and will hide better.
So as the representative of this worries, a Division General came and persuaded the Legion Commander, “Sir, we need to make use of our Archers and every Magic and Book Users to catch this man.”, his words were very polite but with haste since the white tiger was about to leave their range.
“General”, the Legion Commander said calmly but his expression conveyed otherwise, “Are you going to take the responsibility if that man is hurt when Her Holiness said not to?”
The Major General was about to rebuke but was silent for a while before saying, “Is that man, Cass, would get hurt from measly arrows? Commander, our intentions are to slow them.”
The Legion Commander shook his head lightly, “That man was just your average guard.”
“Average?!”, the Major General knew this but with great doubt. Who’s a sane person would trust this information? That man caused something for the Holy Queen, the ruler of this world in the near future to call the legendary Giant Commander but was called average? Three hundred thousand soldiers were taken to search him in the dangerous Sacred Forest but was called average? He was riding a warbeast with the intention of escaping this swarms of soldiers but was called average? If he was average then the Giant Commander was only an above average person.
The Legion Commander knew was in the head of the Major General and spoke, “That is the words of the Holy Queen, are you against it?”, his voice was calm.
The Major General’s eyes widened but after a while, he spoke, “I dare not.”, his doubts completely vanished without any traces it was akin to being brainwashed for the name Holy Queen was absolute.
The Holy Queen was like a god for every people in the world. Nobody would become against her and that was when she still hasn’t inherited the powers of the Gods and was still a normal girl who was spoiled by wealth and power.
The Oliart Kingdom was only against the Holy Kingdom in name and some decisions and also because of history but after all, they still worshipped the Holy Queen as if she was their God.
So what would they do now? Do they just watch the white tiger escape from this hundred thousand soldiers? Do they have to plan again because a surprising variable showed up which is the white tiger and then searched them again in this sea of greenery? Of course not!
“Take out the arrowheads. Then ready their bows and arrows.”, the Legion Commander said calmly but while his sharp mustache twitched a little.
The Major General was delighted to hear that and saluted and then repeated the order, “Archers!!”, he shouted. This shout was not directed to any specific battalions or any brigade but the archers in general, “Take out your arrowheads and prepare your bows!!”, the Major General did not pause and continued, “5!!”, “4!!”, he counted very fast with confidence that the archers are all readied.

Almost everyone already removed their arrowhead and was about to pull the string of their bow.
2
Their bows were now arched as if it was a crescent moon.
1
Every single archer that are clustered in a neat formation altogether released their arrows.
An arrow was not enough for the white tiger to give it some attention but the arrows that were released in that round was akin to heavy rain that swooshed upwards and was directed solely to the white tiger. However, unlike any other rounds of rains of arrows which are all scattered and broad, this one was like a snake that has the intention of killing its prey in a matter of moment.
Their arrows are all accurate as if it was manipulated in some way and hit the white tiger a hundred times a second.
A single arrow didn’t even hurt for the white tiger but for Cass, it was a different discussion. Just tens of arrows are enough to make him lose his strength but he didn’t shout in pain.
With his one hand, he covered his head and with the other, he tightly held the three cubs and protected them by his body.
There were more to come. The white tiger had enough and thought about the four on her back. Even if she could endure such a thing, the four who are riding on her back couldn’t possibly.
So she turned around and instantly roared at the tens of thousands of arrows. As if the arrows where dust which the white tiger blew a breath, it made them immediately fell on the ground. Only a hundred of them remained in the air but it didn’t hit the white tiger anymore.
The Legion Commander was not surprised and shouted, “Fire!”, this time. It was not the Major General but him. It brought heavier meaning.
