A Failure’s hopeful Journey - Chapter 315: Paper Cut.
The people heard what You Zhichi said and the people turned their gazes away from the blade. The maestro has taken out the sword from its sheath directly. The sharp aura radiated from the sword was enough to make the people have goosebumps and sense prickly in their eyes.
Yhal Ghol raised an eyebrow in surprise. He said, “You sure have an edge.” his tone was that of praising a subordinate.
You Xi Wang said, “Shall we start fighting, or are you here to socialize?” he was calm but the calmer he got the more his battle intent was invoked.
…
You Zhichi said, “Those who choose swords as their primary weapon look at this fight, you will benefit a lot from it. However, control your emotions and battle intent. That sword spirit will seek blood from whoever dares to think about fighting it. The rest do not look at the sword at all. You do not wish to have nightmares.” her voice was calm but cold.
She was very angry by the gaze and words of the demon prince but watching You Xi Wang use that thing to grind himself she held back. Now that the opportunity had presented itself, she would make the most of it by enlightening the rookies.
She was now twenty-three or twenty-four years old. Some people in the team were younger than her, almost close to You Xi Wang. The people heed her words and follow them.
…
Yhal Ghol played with his big sword and suddenly his figure vanished, You Xi Wang did not move but jerked his sword a little. The next moment a Clink sounded on the field. The people were shocked. They did not see any movement except for the jerk but they heard the sound.
Suddenly, You Xi Wang’s figure vanished from the place, as if faded away, earning a gasp from the people. The surroundings became to echo with clinking sounds and eventually appearances of the two people.
However, the spectators all were shocked by the fact that You Xi Wang and the demon prince were moving at such a fast pace that they were leaving after images every time they took a short pause. They could even tell that the young war god was faster than the demon because his moments were almost like a jerk and the after images lasted longer.
They were correct, Yhal Ghol was indeed a notch slower than You Xi Wang. The strength was well-matched but nobody knew what the actual outcome was like because all they could judge the outcome from was either the clinking sounds or the tiny clash sparks they saw.
…
Yuki said with a bitter expression, “He was holding back the entire time.”
Fenny nodded and said, “He did not do his best because he could not.”
Neo asked, “What do you mean?”
“She means that we were not good enough to keep up with his strength. You see and tell me how many moves can you hold on for in such a tempest? Xiao Wang will be gaining nothing by trying his best against us but eventually, his skills will even divert from the original path.” said Allan in a deep voice.
You Zhichi said, “You guys do not think that much. He would not have gone this far even today if this guy had not cast me that glance.”
Onyxia beside them was numb. She had been looking at the ground and her eyes were opened to their limits. Any more and they might fall out of the sockets. She could not believe that a light-speed battle was taking place in front of her.
…
Suddenly, You Xi Wang came to a stop and said, “Done with the facade yet?”
Opposite him, Yhal Ghol appeared and he had a smile on his face as he said, “You are really good. How about this? I take you back to the demon kingdom and make you my general. You will have to answer only me and you can do whatever you want. We have all you can wish for, even women from exotic species are there, of course, I mean fresh ones. What say you?”
You Xi Wang shook his head and said, “Die.” calmly and he appeared in front of the demon prince.
He held the sword in both hands and started to cut at the bull demon in front of him. The cuts looked random but that was only to those who did not know what You Xi Wang was doing. You Zhichi smiled saw the cuts.
Not only her but all the You family members were the same. Yuki asked, “What is this swordsmanship?”
You Tong replied in excitement, “This is the basic swordsmanship of our family. The Origami Knife.”
Yuki and the rest were smart people and when they saw the blade trajectory they all realized what was going on. However, their realization was not going to bear them any fruit.
You Zhichi looked around and after watching their confused faces she said, “Okay, relax, it is called basic swordsmanship but it is quite advanced. None in the family is able to perceive the profoundness of this skill. The reason is that you can almost make anything in the world by folding papers.
This boy not only mastered basic origami as a child but he also learned advanced origami such as using two papers for a craft. He was weak you know, but his brain became his strength. Now he can use this art to fight you for as long as there are permutations and combinations existing in the fold patterns.
For example, a paper bag has four folds. Now you can count how many combinations he can use. He can also make a lot of things such as birds and fish with paper and they all have a lot of folds. His swordsmanship is unpredictable, the shape in his mind will change in between and so will the cuts.”
…
As You Zhichi was talking, the boy was raining down blades on the bull in front of him with indifferent eyes. The bull demon was waiting for when the barrage will stop. However, the pace was not slowing down and the attacks were getting even more random. A thin layer of sweat was already glossing the black forehead of the bull demon.
