A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy - Chapter 235
“Ross had bloodline connected to witches as well as he had its knowledge. She wanted to use him for killing Lady Gwen as well as her son and bind Late king Eric’s fate to hers so she can be the one to give him an heir as well as be his lover. But once again her plan failed, and all the credit goes to Lady Gwen”
Vladis could sense the hostility inside the room. He was aware Arthur didn’t like to touch the topic, but it wasn’t intentional. The conversation was just sailing with its own wind.
“What did Lady Gwen do? As we all know she died, so …?”
“What are you implying?”
“Being Ross’s friend, I knew one or two things about witchcraft. The day he performed the ceremony, he told Vladella that the ceremony needs a sacrifice, an undying love had to be sacrificed to twist the fate of lovers”
“Don’t tell me…” Vladis choked. However, tears escaped from Norman’s eyes.
“Yes, he did. Ross sacrificed his life, his undying love for Vladella”
“But that is impossible. You said Ross is my father, if that is true, then what about me?” This was all absurd.
“Oh—you were, well Ross knew Vladella never loved him, but he did, so he wanted something from her, a keepsake, something that should symbolize his undying love, so he asked her a baby of his and that is how you came to the picture”
“She took one year’s leave and told everyone that she needs a vacation but instead here she was, plotting the assassination of queen and heir to the throne. She was 9 months pregnant and soon to due, but forced Ross to start the ceremony”
“No matter how much he begged her, she didn’t concede. He promised her that he would do everything but only after the child was born, but she threatened him with her life. With no choice, he did what she asked him to do. In the middle of his ceremony, Vladella tried to use her baby, I mean you, as a sacrifice. She had already planned it, she had no intentions of killing Ross, in fact, she wanted to use his undying love for his baby as a sacrifice but, Ross found out what she is planning”
“Although heartbroken, he still couldn’t let the unborn baby be sacrificed thus he killed himself to complete the ceremony. Vladella was pissed off when Ross killed himself.”
“God knows why?”
“It wasn’t like she used to love him. He was, well everyone in her eyes is nothing but her tool, to get what she desires”
Damn wench!
“For some reason, she didn’t kill you or should I say she didn’t have the time. After cleaning up on Ross’ death, she gave birth to a boy and that is you. She gave you her name. Wasn’t it obvious for you to find out who your mother was?”
“You both have rhyming names”
“Vladis-son of Vladella”
“After a few days, the crown prince was born but Lady Gwen’s health started declining after childbirth. There was no cure to her illness since it wasn’t one. It was a curse and the one who could undo it was long gone. Lord Elric and Lady Gwen, both were aware of it. Later Lady Gwen died at childbirth and after 5 years, King Elric died too. Vladella was devastated when King Elric died since her schemes all failed.”
“With him gone, she didn’t know what to do. Thus, she disappeared and one fine day, Lord Arthur finds that bitch and sends her to dungeons. Oh, I can’t tell you how happy I was when I found out that she was caught and imprisoned”
“And that is how it all went. Now I told you everything I knew, so please spare me” He rubbed his palms in jitters.
“But that doesn’t make sense. How did Lord Elric find me? And why did Vladella didn’t find out about me?”
“Oh, well I don’t know”
Now that the past was all cleared up, Vladis was able to join the connections and see the bigger picture.
“Vladis, for sake of your father, please spare me. To be honest, I wanted to tell everything I knew about that wench to Lord Arthur personally, but I never had any connections. I tried several times over the years but failed every time. Vladella was always a threat, even with her being imprisoned, her lackeys were still there. I couldn’t be open about it because I would have been shredded by them if I did”
Creak—
“Well release your worries since this Lord already heard what you were desperate to speak off”
Norman saw a beautiful man sauntering inside the room as if it was his. His aura completely swept him off. His eyes were glued to the man who just entered but soon, he felt the chill in the room. He shuddered and automatically bowed his head. He didn’t know why he was bowing to him. It was just his guts telling him to do so.
“I heard what you said, and I am quite happy now that the truth is out in the open, however, I still have one doubt left”
Vladis eyebrow scrunched in surprise.
“What was Vladella’s twin name?”
Seeing that he wasn’t answering, Arthur gave Vladis a look, and he stabbed the sword in his neck, one inch deep. “Speak, before I kill you”
The Parson groaned in pain.
“Vla…. Vlase…Vlasella” He was having difficulty in speaking since his throat was sliced.
Arthur wasn’t surprised. He had a hunch but now it proved itself.
“So that’s what you were playing all along. I see now”
“Slash”
“No, Lord. Please don’t kill him” Jeff who was outside rushed when he saw Arthur killing the person.
Huh!
Norman was close to tears. He never imagined Jeff to risk his life for him. Is this being what people called true love? “Jeff, no. please let them be. I just want you to be safe, after all, I adore you”
Both Vladis and Arthur were disgusted.
