A Forgotten Hero - Volume 1 Chapter 2
(Girl POV)
It was quite a stormy night, as if something unprecedented was about to occur. Sadly, I had to endure this storm as I was walking up this hill to gather some medical herbs for my mother.
Trudging through all the mud and puddles, I paid no mind to it with my thoughts dwelling on the hope my mother would last until I gather her herbs. “Ahh!” I squeal as the wind blows furiously towards me when the sudden surprise caused me to lose my footing and stumble back down, “No!” I wailed.
Rolling back down and smashing through the twigs and pebbles, I reached the bottom of the hill. My entire body ached and I was starting to lose consciousness. All that played in my mind was, “No, I can’t give up! I have to keep going to get my mum’s medicine. If I don’t, she will die!” I slowly pulled myself up using the surrounding trees, I managed to stand up again but to my surprise, I saw a cave.
“Was it always there?” I thought to myself. I knew this area like the back of my hand yet not once have I seen this cave. Suddenly, it started to rain- bad news as rain and storms don’t mix well together! Instinctively, I limped to the cave for cover, as with the rain’s contribution the storm is far deadlier now.
Upset with the unfolding events, I began to lose hope. I was in no condition to get up the hill, let alone find the herbs due to my injuries and this rain storm. Lost in my thoughts, I felt a sudden chill down my spine that did not come from the outside, but deeper into the cave. I started walking towards the source of the cold, not caring what will happen to me anymore, since all the hope I have had is now
gone.
After awhile, when my legs have finally started giving in with barely any strength left, I managed to enter another entrance. To my surprise, I saw a rock of ice at the end of it. A thought runs through my mind and a smile forms on my face- I could use the ice to suppress my mother’s temperature! It filled me with hope and with my remaining strength, I grabbed a rock next to me and walked to the ice to proceed to break it.
However, the ice unexpectedly started cracking! With a sudden BANG! It broke into pieces with a bright blue light, causing me to close my eyes and be startled. When I opened them again; I witnessed a black-haired, masculine man with a height of around six feet. His right eye was emitting a bluish-white energy and parts of his body were covered in frost. The coldness intensified due to the ice energy surrounding this man…..
