A God’s Apocalyptic Entertainment - Chapter 145 Library Battle Part 4
*Crunch*
I felt my bones shatter as the heavy metal threw me into the corpse of the mage. Both our bodies were sent flying through the broken door and out into the other room. I didn’t have a lot of time to feel pain as I tried to roll over, but my body wasn’t responding right. By the time I had turned over to see the hulking figure of the centurion, he already had his blade raised.
He lifted his heavy boot and placed it on my stomach nocking the air out of me and keeping me on the ground. The pressure of his body made my already destroyed bones turn even worse and the pain excruciating.
“Argh!!!”
“Die Monster!!!”
He screamed that at me as I desperately tried to thrash about. My aura was running wild and my spirit vision had activated. My mind was raging trying anything to stop this next attack. I couldn’t move under his boot and I was going to die soon.
I couldn’t die!
I didn’t want to die!
I still had to get my revenge!
My connection with Ella and Rose was activated as I felt my blood start to boil; I was tapping into the berserk rage skill. This increased my strength but even that wasn’t enough. I was sure my eyes were red and crazy as I thrashed about.
Ella and Rose were pinned down in the other room and couldn’t help me.
No!
Not like this!
Comon!
COME ON!!!!!!
The blade plunged down as my vision was red. I watched as it pierced into my throat and went right through. If the blade was any bigger I would have instantly been decapitated.
*Gurgle*
Blood started to flood my lungs as I still thrashed about, my mind was going black as the pain started to fade. But I didn’t want this to end. I couldn’t let this end here!!!
My mind was raging on as a small box appeared in my vision, 2 of them actually.
(Your mental state and desperation has led to user obtaining skill ‘Sacrificial Regeneration’)
(You have unlocked Innate skill ‘Spirit Vision’)
I felt something drain out of me as a cold feeling ran through my body. It continued to drain out as I felt the pain in my body disappear. After only a few short seconds the blackness that was dominating my vision went away and I gulped in a huge breath of air.
I was alive!
What the fuck just happened?!?!?
Thoughts continued to pop into my head as I felt my neck. There was no longer a stab mark or any pain, all my bones felt like they did before and nothing seemed out of place. I looked down at the wet blood on my fingers and suddenly felt the urge to cough.
*Cough* *Spluter*
Blood flew out as I coughed it on the ground. It was the blood I was drowning in. What the hell?
My mind was confused for a second but I quickly came back to my sense and rushed for the door. I hadn’t been out for long, I hoped.
Rushing into the door, I saw the current situation. Ella was facing off against the last 2 people. Her eyes were red and her aura was raging. I could feel she was in a complete berserk state. She had no control over her mind and was swinging around the dead body of the Evos to combat them.
She was displaying tremendous strength as she tossed the body around like a rag doll. I had no clue how he died, but I could see the burn marks around his eyes and blood streaming all over his body. Rose was behind her and giving her support, by creating earth walls and spikes to stop strikes coming both ways.
She was able to keep the pressure off Ella while she went berserk.
Running in and seeing this I screamed out towards the centurion that had almost killed me.
“Hey, You, shield bastard!!!”
My scream echoed in the room as Rose gave a small smile seeing me. I can’t imagine what they went through when I nearly died.
The centurion stopped in surprise and backed off from Ella, turning to look at me. I could see the surprise in his eyes as he looked at me. His eyes were red from anger, as he turned to look at me. And they only got worse when he saw I wasn’t dead.
Backing off from Ella he made his way towards me wanting to finish the job. He had taken me down before; he thought he could do it again. Not this time! I wouldn’t die a second time!
I brandished the dagger and spit out some blood in my mouth.
“Come on fucker! Daddy wants you dead!”
He closed in on me fast and swung his shield, it glowing. He had started a shield bash; it propelled him a slight ways forwards as he chased my retreating figure. I had stepped back to avoid the blow and went in with a dagger strike.
He blocked it with his shield easily and wasn’t surprised. I let ice spill out around the shield and let it cascade over the lip into his face. He retreated from the cold air and slashed at me who had closed in. I backed off quickly and we started to trade blows.
He was still as steady as a mountain and I couldn’t get any attacks through. It came to a stale mate as neither of us got the advantage; my blade couldn’t get past his shield and his attacks, I would avoid. The last person alive there was a warrior that continued to valiantly fight Ella, who had gone berserk. With the increase in strength they were equally matched and she was even coming out on top with the help of Rose.
We fought oved the room crushing tables and destroying book cases as I got throw once or twice. You couldn’t underestimate the shield bash, it came quick and hard, if I wasn’t carful I would end up the same as before.
My bones had been damage during the fight but my will to continue kept that cold feeling going through my body, no matter what happened to my body it would heal fast. A ridiculous increase to how much I would usually regenerate.
But whatever energy I was tapping into, I could feel it running out. Looking through my spirit vision I could see that this energy was also coming from both Ella and Rose I couldn’t keep this up for ever I had to finish this battle soon.
I jumped over a small desk and avoided another blow as the arrow shaft that started this whole thing came in to my vison, a small plan starting to form.
I backed off again and again sorting everything out before going in. Once again he threw out a shield bash and I dodged backwards. Then when he came in for the slash I went low instead of backing off or clashing with him.
He readjusted his shield to hit me, who was in a bad position, so I quickly pulled myself up, during the move I went for an upwards strike which he accounted for. But when I was raising my hand I didn’t his shield as he expected and went right past it. Mid way through this, at around his upper body, I let go of the dagger and stared at his eyes.
They flickered as they watched the dropping blade; he thought I was going to do something with it. Instead I kicked up and jumped, raising my body. With all my strength I pooled a formless energy in my hands and brought them together near his face.
His eyes widened in surprise as I smiled at him.
*BOOOOOM*
A loud sound was produced as the energy clashed, creating chaos in the air in front of me. The energy let out a bright light as it was clashed together blinding his eyes and deafening him.
They could use a flash bang, why couldn’t I make one? A person’s body would naturally grow more sensitive and powerful as they leveled up, meaning they would be more sensitive to such a close range attack on their senses.
“Urgh.”
His voice came out as his body swayed, I went in at this time and quickly dropped back down, dodging the blade he threw around aimlessly.
Picking up the dagger that had stuck into the ground I pushed energy into the ground to make it look like I was running around him. He felt the loud impacts to the left of him and turned his body to face his “opponent”.
With his body facing the wrong way I went to his back and tapped it with the dagger before jumping. Realizing he had been tricked and was in one of the worst positions possible, he jerked his body around as fast as he could.
At the same time he executed a shield bash that would sweep into anyone that was behind him. Having jumped up, the huge shield flew beneath me and I started to fall. Not feeling anything he started to panic again.
At this time his eyes had regained their sight and he finally caught sight of me right in front of his face. His eyes that just regained sight widened in shock as he looked at the dagger that was about to pierce through the opening in his visor.
And in slow motion, as he tried to jerk back his head, I pushed power through the dagger and lit it up. The fire started at the hilt where my hand was and started to run up the cold metal, aiming for his eye.
Knowing that he had no chance to dodge it, in a desperate attack he swung his sword at my outstretched hand. But I didn’t care. The fire reached the tip of the blade and burst out singing his eyes, as the blade cut through my gear like butter and severed my arm.
“AHHHHH!!!”
He screamed out loud as my arm dropped to the ground, not minding this I continued to pick up the dagger with my other hand and moved in closer, while he was in pain. And before he could fight back I plunged the Dagger right through an opening between the chest plate and the helmet.
Jerking his body from the attack I was sent flying by his shield and slammed into one of the book shelves. But even though that cold energy that was healing my body dried up I smiled as I looked at the body that was weakening.
I slowly got up as I looked at the last person. Ella was hunched over his body as she took bites out of his head. I had no clue when the fight stopped, but Rose was off to the side gasping for air. She had taxed herself to help us fight.
Ella’s mind had also been taxed to the extreme and it had actually forced her out of her berserk state. Even though she was mindless right now she wouldn’t start attacking us for no reason.
I walked slowly over to the Centurion that had fallen to his knees. He had stopped making noise, he wasn’t grunting in pain or doing anything else, he was just breathing quietly. He knew he had lost, and he was prepared to die.
I walked over and also fell to my knees in front of him, I just had one question for him.
“Why?”
He jerked his head at my question and looked in my direction. His voice had no energy in it as he spoke his final words to me.
“The demon must die…. Can’t let them grow anymore.”
His breathing grew even weaker.
“All humanity… at stake….Demon…..you’re ….. for …..Empire….for ….Nadia.”
With those last words his body stopped moving his breath completely gone. The only thing that was keeping him from falling to the ground was the huge shield he wore keeping him upright.
“Empire? Nadia, huh?”
I spoke to myself quietly as my eye lids felt heavy, but I couldn’t rest yet.
There was still one more.
