A God’s Apocalyptic Entertainment - Chapter 151 Two Directions
I finished stuffing my bag full of orbs and picked it up. I left most of my rations in my ring, I knew I could lose my bag at any point, especially if I was fighting, whereas my ringwould be on my finger at all times. Unless I lost my hand I could stay alive for a few days off the rations I kept in it.
Done with that, I turned around to look at the 2 beauties behind me.
Rose was bent over packing her bag with her new gear on. It was a shame that the Empire Robes we had picked up covered most of her good points. Her health brown skin was covered by the flowing robes of the empire, while her green hair was hidden by the hood that almost all mage robes had on them.
If I stared right at her I would only be able to see small tuffs of her emerald green hair. But with her hair hidden it did highlight one of her best aspects, her green eyes. They seemed to draw people in if you looked at them, and even though they didn’t usually show a lot of emotion there was a charm to them.
On her hip she sported the deadly looking Thorn Whip that wasn’t what you would usually see a mage using. But it held a type of sentimental value and could easily conduct spirit through it, making it the perfect weapon for her to handle.
The only other thing that could just be seen was her mother’s pendant that she kept at all times, hanging around her neck. I was standing in a small daze as I apprised this person I had come across in this messed up world. Seeming to feel my eyes or maybe just my thoughts directed at her, she finished packing her bag and looked up at me.
Her eyes flashed in a small gentle way that I hadn’t noticed before as she looked into mine, a small smile touched her lips as she didn’t say a word. Snapping out of my stupor I turned to Ella that was the last to finish packing her bag.
Her body was also wrapped in the new gear we had acquired. It was a mix between leather and metal that seemed quite fitting for rogues or archers. The leather had an ability to change to the wearer’s size and almost became form fitting when she wore it. It showed off the curves of her body as well as the muscles that she had. It wasn’t as prominent but I knew she could pack a punch, we all could.
Her hair which would by now would be her biggest identifier, splashed on the floor and gathered around her as it shimmered in a silver sheen. It was easily the length of her body and neigh indestructible, I hadn’t seen anything that could cut it yet, and even something that could harm Ella couldn’t cut her hair. It was a weird phenomenon that I would have to check out later.
Hung over her back was the World bow that used to be the treasure of the elves, through it she could forever fire arrows made out of her own energy. That was the reason she also didn’t have a quiver on her back.
Finished with her packing she stood up and looked my way as well. I could feel her overflowing emotions of happiness; she was still very attached to me. Her silver eyes glinted as they looked at me and her white teeth sparkled a smile.
I almost couldn’t imagine she was just a small child the other day. Well I guess it has been 3 months since then, but still.
Seeing that we were all finished we headed to the exit. My new gear felt heavy on the shoulders, but not too bad, I was sure that I looked a lot more menacing in it. The gear that the centurion was wearing made my body look bigger than it actually was and made me think I was a tank.
I had no clue how gear that was made completely out of metal was able to resize and fit to myself, but I was glad that all the pieces had the effect. I also wish there was a place to strap my new weapon.
There was nothing on the back I could use to strap my new halberd to. It was just short enough that I would be able to run around with it strapped to my back, which I was grateful for. But with my ring I didn’t really need to carry it around, I just wanted to.
With it in my ring I could summon it out whenever I wanted to which was the upside and because I couldn’t strap it to my back right now, this was the only option, unless I wanted to hold it most of the time.
We were ready to go and deal with the players as we stepped out of the library. But before we went I had one last thing to do. I tapped our connection and summoned a small fire in my hand and then compressed it to my fingers. If only a little it increased the heat that was produced, something Ella had found out.
Looking down at the emblem on my chest, the face of some man, maybe the emperor of the empire where all this gear was made? Who cared, I reached my hand up and pressed my hand on the imprint.
Focusing I was able to feel the metal warp under my hand and before long the emblem was completely unrecognizable. The face melted as the gear totally became ours. I did the same for Rose and Ella just so we weren’t mistakes for people we weren’t, or if people started looking for us.
I mean I couldn’t change the overall design of the gear but doing this with the emblem should be enough. Now that it was done, we left the library and Ella pointed off in two directions, North and south. There were 2 groups that we had to deal with.
One was the Daylight Guild the other the Danger Guild. I waved my hand once in front of me and a small map appeared in my hands. The dungeon map would dictate which direction we would head in. We had to leave this place fast because I had no clue when the Empire would be able to catch up with us. I was still annoyed that I had let one get away but I could do nothing about it.
Tracing my finger down, the south west had more dungeons than the north east. Both guild were in the opposite direction of one another so I would deal with the group up towards the north first and then come back down south.
“We’ll head that way first.”
And with that Ella took the lead taking us to our prey.
