A God’s Apocalyptic Entertainment - Chapter 172 Slaughter!
When will the boss get here?”
Someone complained to Geerard as the stared at their prey. Geerard looked over and showed a small scowl. The person that had just talked was someone that had been through thick and thin with him, but even then hit him on the backside of the head.
“Idiot! Be quite and wait!”
His friend looked at him with his own scowl after receiving the blow. The Geerard he knew wouldn’t take orders from just anyone, especially not some bitch of a woman!
He grumbled in his thoughts as he couldn’t help but mumble a response.
“I mean we have them surrounded, let’s just kill them and be done. Taking this many people out was overkill anyways.”
*Grr*
Geerard growled at his friend and considered hitting him again, before he took a calming breath, and with measured words spoke calmly.
“The boss wants to see them before we kill them, we wait.”
His voice didn’t broker an argument and no one else around him said anything. Most were afraid of the boss that could make Geerard take orders so faithfully, while others were discontent with all the waiting.
Seeing his men like this Geerard couldn’t help but add.
“I received a message earlier; she should arrive in a few minutes.”
His friend gave Geerard a nod before staring back at the group they had surrounded. He could see all of them standing there at the ready, weapons drawn. He could even tell that the weapons they had were quite good. Hopefully they could get some spoils after taking them down. Not to mention the merchant there would have some good merchandise on him.
‘Wait a minute? Where’s the merchant?’
Just as he was about to voice his thoughts the group sprang into action. A huge earth wall sprung up between the man with the spear weapon and the other group. It was high enough to block their vision of the other side.
Shouts of excitement spread out in the group as they watched the lone man run forwards. His aura that was hidden before had blasted out making the man smile.
‘He looked like an exciting opponent!’
The grin on his face grew wider but diminished slightly as he saw the mages behind them start to charge their attacks.
Guess he wouldn’t make it far enough to attack them anyways. His shoulders slumped in disappointment as the magic was finally fired. Numerous colors screamed over head as different element were used to bombard the man.
Geerard who as watching all this could only shake his head as he watch the impulsiveness of the man, he would have to come up with an excuse for the boss when she got here. There might not be anyone left.
And as he was thinking this, looking at the dust scattered everywhere, his face froze, before his eyes narrowed. He reached down to grip the sword at his waist.

(Liam PoV)
“Argh!”
I shouted out loud as I tanked the damage thrown at me. The shield in my hand was being disintegrated from all the attacks but I didn’t stop running forwards. I had pulled the shield out at the last second to give myself some more time.
They wouldn’t have expected me to survive the first barrage without a shield, so I had to go faster!
Faster!
*Ha, ha*
My breath came out raggedly as I heard shouting and screams coming from behind. Looks likes the fun started on the other side. Rose had erected a huge earth wall between us so that no one could hit them from a certain direction. It would give the kids more leeway in their defense.
Peering over the shield that blocked my view I saw the stunned look of a few of the bandits as I rushed forwards, it looks like my little idea worked.
My legs pumped as I crunched dirt under my feet. I was leaving huge imprints from the strength I was pumping in them. They had stopped 100 meters away from me and they were all on horses. With my enhanced body I could cover that distance in no time, maybe 5 seconds, less if I wasn’t weighed down by gear.
The mages panicked behind the group as they saw me coming, they were almost in range of my halberd. Instead of charging their attacks and bombarding me again their attacks were weak as they frizzled out and slammed into the shield.
Without them charging the power I shrugged it off easily.
*Boom*
*Urgh*
*Neigh!*
I kept my shield up as I finally slammed into the ones at the front, at this range they couldn’t get me with their mages. I felt the weight behind the shield for a second before my muscles tense and I sent the horse flying.
Honestly I was shocked for a second at the flying horse, before snapping out of it and throwing my shield.
*Whiz* *Smack*
“Argh”
It flew true and smacked another off their horse and I think I broke something.
All the people in front of me quickly drew their weapons and prepared to attack, I didn’t give them time.
*Gasp*
*Fwoosh!*
I sucked in a deep breath and blew at them as hard as I could, I felt the ice in my breath spread out and freeze over their armour. I had become pretty good at manipulating ice by this point. Their armour froze over and the horses stalled, the ones that weren’t affected were scared out of their mind though and bucked.
Most of the riders were thrown off then and there, with some being trampled. I grinned as I swished my halberd left and right. I didn’t have to worry about where I was swinging, I would hit something instantly.
My strength was monstrous as bodies started to get flung everywhere. Any time I felt the halberd stall for a second, as it met a body, the next second it was gone as they flew into others.
I kept my eyes peeled and ahead for any sneak attacks or magic hits, but the mages themselves were having some trouble.
“Argh!”
“Help! Behind”
“When the hell?!?”
“Rogue!”
“Watch out!”
I could hear their screams from here as those facing me were also distracted. Hunter at some point had made it past them and was going through them like a knife through butter. Their cloth robes couldn’t stop his daggers. As they weren’t expecting the attack it was even worse. They were getting slaughtered.
My grin grew wider as I felt my adrenaline pump through my veins. My aura burst out uncontrollably and the temperature dropped even more. Using the low temperature I split a little of my attention to get it too form small ice shards.
With that done I sent them out as I parried a blow from a weapon. When they met armour it punctured it easily.
*Hah* *Hah*
That had taken too much out of me. I breathed heavily as sent a quick lunge killing someone, pulling my halberd back I grabbed someone by the neck with the hook end and pulled them off one of the horses still standing.
It bit into his neck and killed him before he even hit the ground. I decided not to focus on building the ice shards and coated my weapon in it instead. I continued my slaughter as more and more of them tried to surround me, I had to swing in 360 arcs to keep them back.
The aura I was producing was slowing them down helping me out. With each swing I would condense more ice on the end to fling sharp pieces everywhere. Smaller than the icicles they did slightly less damage, but hit more people and could still kill.
*Clang*
I had just done another sweep to keep them back when a sword appeared in the corner of my eye.
!!!
I dived to the ground as fast as I could to dodge the blow and rolled sweeping the bandits that tried to approach. Most fell down clutching their now missing legs. Rolling back up I quickly turned to the person that attacked me and put on a grim face.
I had already analyzed him before, it was the commander!
His level was higher than the rest that came with him, at level 34, he was still weaker than the empire scouts. He tried to push his advantage but I kept him at bay, dodging the strikes coming from behind.
*Hah* *ha* *ha*
I was breathing harder as he stopped in front of me, his sword at the ready. I pulled up my halberd to meet his.
*Hahahaha*
He laughed as he spoke, fire raging in his eyes.
“I’ve never had the chance to kill a High Human before! I’ll tell stories of this fight to my children!”
I dodged another blow and sent my elbow into the guy that tried to attack me from behind, giving a small smirk towards the commander.
It was at times like this that I couldn’t help myself. So with a straight face and genuine tone I said.
“Children? You thought you’d have children? There’s no woman that cheap.”
