A God’s Apocalyptic Entertainment - Chapter 186 Varian
The haul in this dungeon was amazing. We had cleared out another 2 rooms and killed about another 24 Titans. Our speed of clearing the rooms had skyrocketed by this point. Not that they were weak, we were just getting too strong.
Maybe if we didn’t have a skill such as ice, this would have been a different story, but because we did it was becoming too easy. After killing so many of those Titans I had level up 4 times! Even with the ridiculous need of 2 billion and 3 billion experience per level, we were rocketing up.
If this dungeon went for 10 more floors I might be able to reach level 40. With the Titans dropping so much Exp, around 300 million per kill, I had nearly earned in total, 15 billion exp over these last 2 days. For most, from what I was getting from Hunter, that amount of Exp would have easily got them to level 40 or higher, of course I still wasn’t going to complain.
With the increase in 4 levels for me Ella and Rose, we were now many times stronger. Our stats had reached a point, that I had almost the exact same strength as one of these behemoths, of course their endurance was still higher, but we were closing in.
If the titans were to go up in level we might have a problem, but for now, they had stayed around the level 34-37 region. By this point we had thrown all pretenses in taking it slow, with our enhanced stats we could now easily fight 1v1 and take them down quickly.
I would take a peek every now and then at the group behind us. I think it would be a good time to start power leveling them. They hadn’t been able to get any Exp, and if we were to give them 1 or 2 kills they would quickly reach level 30.
Maybe not high enough to help us kill them, but they wouldn’t be useless if something came up. I had these thoughts as we entered the next room. The temperature had noticeably gone up once we reached the area.
This set me on high alert. Scanning the room to assess how many Rock titans were in here I counted a total of 16. The highest of any room so far. With the increased amount of Titans, the area was also many times larger.
The lava streams that had been so little when we first entered the dungeon, had become wider and many times more dangerous. Motioning for the others to stay back, me, Ella and Rose slowly stepped into the room.
Deciding that it would be better if we took out the titans as quickly as possible. I sent a quick mental thought to the two. We would all blitz a good 5-7 of the Titans before splitting off to kill them solo. By combing our strength we would take a normal one down in seconds.
‘Ok, Go’
Sending the command we sprinted off to the closest titan. I felt the connection between us strain as ice appeared around all of us. It was slightly harder to pull it out with the temperature increase, but it wasn’t too bad.
Ella fired off the first shot and nailed the Titan in the head. The force behind it caused the titan to stumble, as Rose also produced an Ice Spike. Like her Earth spikes they were deadly sharp and scarily accurate.
Aiming for the core of the creature, the resounding hit of the spear sent out a small shockwave.
*ROARRRRR!!!!!*
The Titan screamed in rage as it took the damage. Flickering my eyes, I pulled out my halberd and jumped high. Rose and Ella continued to run past the creature, on to the next. I would finish it off and catch up.
Jumping high I cleaved into the side of its head, and heard a satisfying crunch as it fell to the ground dead. Not turning around to look at my handy work I jumped over a lava stream and continued on my way.
We continued the same tactic over and over again, quickly gaining the attention of the Rock Titans inside the Room. By fighting out in the open, the sound created by our fights attracted them over. And seeing what we were doing to their kin, they went mad with anger.
*Boom**Boom**Boom**Boom**Boom**Boom**Boom**Boom **Boom*
The ground shook and the lava splashed as the Rock Titans raced over as fast as they could. We had just finished the 4th Titan when a pack of them arrived. Dodging their blows was the easy part, dodging the lava that was splashed about, a little harder.
Taking down another 2 while fighting the group, suddenly my danger perception went off. My head snapped around as I looked at my surroundings. What was setting it off? The Rock Titans around me weren’t the threat I was feeling.
Looking further I spotted one of the titans at a distance. It was kneeling next to a stream of lava, and as I stared at it, the danger perception got worse and worse. Almost on auto pilot I dodged the blows from the Titans around me and continued to watch.
It was so far away I couldn’t use analyze to check it out. Sending a quick warning to Ella and Rose who were still fighting, the pit of my stomach was telling me to deal with that one first. So I did just that, leaving behind the group, I rushed towards the kneeling Titan.
As I moved closer and closer, the lava that ran through its body started to glow brighter and brighter. My eyes narrowed as the feeling got worse, I had to stop it. But it was too late. Glowing brightly the Titan straightened to full height and turned in my direction faster than any before it.
This things AGI was a lot higher. I tensed my body ready to react to anything and also activated my spirit vision. The bright red glow of the energy running through it alerted me to what was about to happen.
‘Of course they would have a long range attacker.’ I thought that as I watched the energy pool in the core of the creature, before moving towards its hand. At the same time the hand pointed towards me. My danger perception kicked into overdrive as I leaped to the side.
*Thwoosh* Lava gushed from the hand like a jet of water as it targeted me. And it wasn’t just a single shot, it was a continuous stream. I had to keep running around to dodge the lava that was splashing around. I felt the heat lick at my heels at it almost hit me.
I had to keep dodging until the glow from the Titan finally died down and the stream stopped. Letting out a sigh of relief once it stopped I continued to rush the creature. It was kneeling down again to recharge!
Getting within range I quickly used analyses to see what this new Titan was.

Seeing the Titan I was reminded of all the different Infected I found in the hospital. Would there always be endurance type, Spirit Type and Agility type? It was something to wonder about.
But for now I continued to sprint forwards and reached the Variant fast. I didn’t want another attack to come. Its strength was pitiful compared to the others, but its agility was a lot higher. But I still easily outclassed it.
*Bang* *Clash* *Boom*
With quick blows and attacks I killed the Variant before it could charge up again. Looking around the room once more I saw no more variants. I could tell them apart, as they looked slightly different than the usual Rock Titan.
While the Rock Titans had huge bodies and large shoulders, the Variant where minimally smaller and had a slimmer build. Not to mention how bright they would glow when they charge up.
Returning to the fight to help Rose and Ella, who didn’t really need it, they were almost done before I got back. We quickly finished off the group in the room and prepared to collect the dropped globes. I would have to think of a few ways to take down the Variant Titans. We can’t have them attacking us from afar while battling the Rock Titans.
I sent a small glance at the Kids moving closer, it looks like I’ll have to level them up quick.
