A Land Without Time - Chapter 10
They spent a total of twenty day’s on the road until they made it to the next town besides short conversations about which direction to go they didn’t talk to each other. How could they though, after finding out about the others secret of course it would be awkward. I mean it’s pretty hard to just come out and say “So your a fugitive like me huh?, what are they after you for.” Neither one of them had the courage to ask the other about anything personal. In fact there was no real need to, they both shared a common goal and that was all that mattered at this point. The men in all black were after them and who knew how long it would be until they were found again. There was no time to be asking questions and engaging in leisurely discussion. They had to move as far away as they could. “Well, Laelynn here we are. This town is called Lakesville. It is named for it’s huge lake that is about two miles long.” William announced. “Since the lake is so long why don’t they just call it a river?” Laelynn questioned. “Because my dear acquaintance it is not a river but a lake.” William said. “What you said made zero sense at all kinda like you.” Laelynn said sarcastically as she walked away. “Haha very funny.” William slowly clapped with exaggeration. “I know that’s precisely why I said it.” She said. William and Laelynn trotted down the steep hill into the small town of Lakesville.
