A Land Without Time - Chapter 7 Chapter Seven
After cleaning up my breakfast tray and setting it outside my door for the room service to come and retrieve I set out to meet William again.
“Hey there you are William.” I said.
“Sorry did you wait long?” William called out.
“Nope I just got here.” I said.
“Well let’s go explore the second half of town.” William guides me.
We went past all the small street markets and passed a few small hotels and houses. This town seemed like a really peaceful place, also it seemed as though nobody had ever heard of my village. That only made things better though cause if nobody knew I was able to stay here without getting caught. Lucky me! I can start over without having to worry about anything. I began to start enjoying myself more and William seemed to be enjoying this just as much, when all of a sudden I felt an electric surge run through my entire body. With that my joyful expression quickly turned to a misfortune sour face. I can tell William senses something too, cause he suddenly stopped and check our surroundings.
“So you noticed it too.” I said.
“Yeah feels like we are being watch.” He replied.
“I think they have been following us for a while,” I said, “I noticed something watching me last night as well however that feeling was different then.” I noticed,”This one seems slightly more hostile. And it seems as though it’s fast approaching.”
“So what should we do, fight it or run away?” William asked
“Well I don’t want to fight because it might involve all the civilians here, but if we do have to fight we should lure them into a secluded place.” I said.
“Yeah that’s a good idea.” He said.
We started walking in the direction we were already headed, we gradually started walking faster but, didn’t make any sudden movements. At the same time we tried blending into the crowed. Through all of our efforts to hide we were still able to sense them behind us. With the way things were going we were going to have to fight.
