A on the Opposite Floor Always Feels I’m Pretending to be a B - Chapter 9
“He Xin, let’s not fight anymore.” Seeing that the results of their battle were divided, Chen Siyu rushed forward to catch He Xin. The child, however, refused to concede his defeat and rushed forward, taking Xu Yusheng’s continuous punches firmly. Chen Siyu watched him getting beaten up into pulp with pain.
He was not willing to go against Xu Yusheng’s powerful figure, but Wang Yi was pulled out by the instructor to take part in some spiritual training. Chen Siyu wanted to pull He Xin out from the battle first, but he was afraid of being so cowardly.
“Again, come again.” He Xin’s mouth was smashed, his face was bleeding, and he couldn’t even let out a few proper words. Even standing up was hard, He Xin struggled as he stood.
No, I’m taking you to the infirmary. Chen Siyu had wanted to cover He Xin’s mouth from talking again, but Xu Yusheng from the other side had already heard his words. He stopped talking to his friend and turned, looking down at the other boy with a scornful look.
“Why, the tail of the crane is still refusing to submit.” Xu Yusheng walked towards He Xin with a stuck up domineering posture, looking down at him mockingly. “I’m sorry, but I don’t want to see you at the training ground again in the future.”
“The training ground isn’t owned by your family, why!?” Chen Siyu shouted, rising on his feet.
In return, Xu Yusheng gave contempt laughter “If you don’t agree, why don’t you come and fight me?”
As long as no one’s life get taken, the Military Academy supported the one-on-one fights among students. Under this system, It was inevitable that someone will get into fights and take advantage of it to bully others. As long as no one gets killed, excessive injuries are acceptable. Therefore there have been several cases of vicious fights in the academy between the students.
Although punishment is given to the perpetrators by the school’s management, this behavior was not completely prohibited. To add on, competitions were always set out between classes, and the results can be included in the final class evaluation.
“Fine, I’ll fight with you.” Chen Siyu was still tangled between decisions when he heard Ning An’s voice entering the room. After receiving the message from Chen Siyu, Ning An had rushed over from Qing Zhao’s office; and it happened to be that he managed to arrive just in time when Xu Yusheng was about to lose his temper.
“Ha, so you’re Ning An. You guys are really good brothers.” Xu Yusheng looked at He Xin splayed on the ground, completely knocked out, and then turned towards Ning An who was standing before him, “Do you guys want to accompany each other in the infirmary?”
The group of people behind Xu Yusheng burst out into mocking laughter, Ning An’s face was unreadable as he stepped forward to approach Xu Yusheng, “How dare you.”
“How dare I–?” it was the first time Xu Yusheng was questioned this way, however it was still the tail of a crane. Did he think he was afraid? A wave of anger rose from his heart, “Get ready to beg for mercy to me!”
Ning An wasn’t the slightest bit shaken and didn’t avoid him. After giving Xu Yusheng a look, he squatted down to see He Xin’s situation, his expression becoming calmer, “You should go to the infirmary, if you stay any longer you might get into trouble.”
“Ning An, be careful. ” He Xin only managed to say a word before he was motioned to shut up by Ning An and dragged out by Chen Siyu
“Ning An.” Chen Siyu also had a bad feeling about Ning An’s involvement. “Don’t force it, if you can’t do it…”
“I know, I have a sense of propriety.” Ning An waved his hand dismissively at him and before going to the middle of the fighting field to face Xu Yusheng.
“You still have time to pull back before you regret this. I don’t want to become a bully, after all.” Xu Yusheng was already getting ready to attack yet still bothered to give him a reminder.
“No need, please.”
The fight did not end as quickly as Xu Yusheng had wanted. Ning An’s sparring practice had not been put into vain– not only had he able to predict that Xu Yusheng was going to do next, but Ning An was also able to dodge and resist against his perfect movements.
This kind of opponent is the most troublesome and the most annoying, making Xu Yusheng gradually lose the little bit of patience he had last. After receiving a few punches on his face from Ning An, nothing mattered to him anymore.
Afterward, Xu Yusheng‘s skills went down the drain, and it became a fist to flesh fight. Every time Xu Yusheng thought that Ning An was about to be beaten down, Ning An teetered but stood still, his eyes red as he stared down at him. Xu Yusheng felt his feet getting cold.
The students who had been watching around the fighting ground made no sound at this time, it seemed as if it could be fatal if they continued on.
“Call an instructor.”
“Someone call an instructor…”
At first it was only a whispering proposal, but in the end, the voices got louder and someone finally left to find an instructor.
Why won’t this kid go down? Xu Yusheng has always been quick to set someone down when it came to fights. This was the first time he encountered such an intractable problem.
“… Go die.” Xu Yusheng put his last strength on this hook, targeting on placing a punch Ning An’s temple.
“Stop it.” Xu Yusheng’s fist was gripped by Derek, and the whole man was dragged to the side. He stiffened before standing up straight on the sideline.
Ning An, however, rushed over with a sudden madness. Fu Ke on one side held him back in his arms as Ning An struggled to kick and fight again, stretching over to viciously trying to bite him on the mouth as well. Fu Ke managed to avoid his beatings but still managed to receive a few hits by his elbow a few times.
“Well,” so fierce, Fu Ke murmured a low apology towards Ning An before roughly chopping down a hand knife on the back of his neck. He fell down with a short gasp, Fu Ke then picked up then limp body and walked towards the infirmary.
“Are you okay, classmate Xu? Would you like to go to the infirmary?”
Xu Yusheng looked at Derek with a pale face, and now he also reflected what would happen to his punch if he had landed it towards Ning An earlier. He left the place with a shake of his head before going back to his group of friends.
Derek shrugged and rushed to the infirmary.
“Oh my god, why did Xu Yusheng beat him up to heavily, I couldn’t bear looking at him!” as soon as Fu ke entered the infirmary, he was waiting after He Xin’s turn while Chen Siyu was looking at Ning An that was in his arms. “Everyone passed out…”
“I was really surprised. ” Fu Ke passed over him and gave Ning An to the doctor. “What happened back then was really peculiar.”
The doctor gave Ning An a preliminary examination and found that there were no broken bones, and signaled to Fu Ke to put him in the treatment cabin next to He Xin. The blue transparent jelly-like liquid then slowly enveloped Ning An.
Chen Siyu was about to ask again about their conditions when the doctor knocked on the board in his hand with a pen to signal to them that as if saying: “No bones were broken, they can walk out in another hour. This group is really a group of lunatics. Who going to sign this?”
“I’ll do it, I’ll do it.” Chen Siyu followed the doctor’s instructions. “Both of them and I share the same bedroom, I’ll wait for them here. It’s no problem.”
“There’s a rest area over there.” The doctor took the form signed by Chen Siyu and began to input the information, giving Chen Siyu a bottle of water along the way.
When Derek arrived at the infirmary, he saw Fu Ke staring at the treatment cabin in a daze. He sat down and took a picture of Fu Ke. “What’s wrong Fu, are you okay?”
He also tilted his head and then saw He Xin laying next door, “Oh… and there’s one more… murderer. ”
Derek was making a remark about Xu Yusheng, but Fu Ke recalled the few times he had to suffer from Ning An’s tantrum and his ribs suddenly hurt. He said, “Yeah, he’s a killer.”
“Student Fu, student Liszt.”Chen Siyu asked the doctors for two more bottles of water and passed it to them. Seeing them watching after the treatment cabins, he said, “I’m sorry to trouble you two today. ”
“You’re welcome, it’s nothing big.” Derek pointed at He Xin, “Did he also got into a fight with Xu Yusheng?”
“Yes, about that, Ning An…” Chen Siyu remembered that Fu Ke said Ning An had fainted back then. “What was the situation then?”
“The two of them were really aggressive,” it was the first time Derek had seen such a violent look from Ning An; it seemed at if they both had wanted to tear each other’s faces out. “Did they have any past enmity with each other?”
“I don’t think it’s personal revenge.” Chen Siyu thought about it. The intersection of two people can be counted with one hand, it seemed like He Xin must be very important in Ning An’s heart “Anyway thank you for today, I got everything in check from here. You guys don’t have to stay to guard.”
The two really had no reason to stay, so they nodded and bid goodbye to Chen Siyu before returning to their room.
