A Path Of Bone And Poison - Chapter 63 A new Pack?
In the end She did find us a warrior for our group. She was a human that had developed lycsnthropy at a young age. Her class was a berserker. She was not part of a pair originally, as lycanthropes were looked down on just as much as dark elves were. When given the opportunity to join our group of misfits she jumped at the chance.
Her name was Leisha Wolfsbane. Her name surname had been given by the orphanage she grew up in due to her condition. She was not a very tall girl, actually only and inch or two taller than I was. Which was rather short if compared her to Sierra who was 5’9.
She actually had a rather thin physique, but was not lacking in the important areas. She had dark brown hair and her eyes were a golden color. To be honest she resembled a beastman more than anything. Her race said human, but she had pointed wolf ears, and a bushy tail. She was definitely a beauty. Hylia actually ended up biting my shoulder because I could not take my eyes off of her. She refused to talk to me for awhile after that.

She was most definitely a beast. As long as she raged her strength was comparable to Hylias. I did not understand why Lycans were looked down on, maybe they were afraid of flees?
Either way she seemed like a very nice person. She was very cheerful when meeting us. When I asked her about her tail and ears she cheerfully responded.
“It’s a trait of lycanthropy. Were-tigers have riger tails and ears, were-hogs pig tails and ears.. ect.”
“So why don’t people like Lycans.. I would have to say you’re rather adorable” She wagged her tail when she heard the last part, earning me another bite from Hylia.
“People don’t like lycans because of our way of fighting. We are especially brutal, and eat our prey. I’m being up front with this. Wolves are pack creatures, and if I join this party it’s a permanent commitment.”
I looked at the others and nodded. I had no problem with eating of the dead. It was better than letting their bodies go to waste. As a spider Hylia already had to eat her prey, she wouldn’t touch anything that was already dead. The only person that seemed concerned was Sierra, but she nodded in the end. As a half elf she understood the loneliness that comes from being different.
She was rather ecstatic about our acceptance. She tried to act cool, but her wagging tail was a dead give a way.
We had just exited the dungeon, but with the arrival of our fourth member we could only enter it once again. Luckily we did not have to worry about any injuries with Sierra’s unique [Phoenix Flames]. She could function as a healer and an attacker. She was truly an amazing addition to our team.
The dungeon was rather empty this time around, most of the parties were still recovering from their losses, or getting to know their new team members.
The instance we entered this time was already a C level instance. Unlike when we had entered last time Leisha had immediately realized the difference. Her tail tucked between her legs and her ears lowered. As she looked around she saw the confident look on our faces and seemed to relax a little.
Surprisingly Sierra was the first to speak. “Don’t be afraid. Hylia and Yuri are actually incredibly strong. We made it through the last one with only 3 of us. ”
Listening to Sierra’s words Leisha calmed down a little. At hylias urging I ended up putting the two together, to allow them the chance to work together. I scouted ahead with Hylia on my shoulder as I left those to in the rear.
The instance this time thankfully was not in the artic. Rather it was another cave. The area was dimly lit, but our eyes were able to easily adjust. I advanced around 100 yards when I encountered the first enemy. It was a rather large mole with the feel of earth mana on it. It seemed to be blind, but could feel the slight vibrations on the floor from my movement.
I cursed as I left stealth. There were few enemies that stealth was useless against, but moles were among them. The mole was rather slow, but I was unable to escape as my body suddenly felt extremely heavy. I did not have the strength to move, but it did not mean that Hylia did not.
She jumped from my shoulder and stood protectively in front of me. She lifted her front legs and bared her teeth at the mole in a threatening manner.
The mole paid no mind to Hylia, completely ignoring her existence. It also made no effort to dodge as she shot countless hairs at it. The volley of arrows struck the mole like a hammer, nailing it to the wall. She followed the attack with several arrows to the vitals of the beast.
I knew when it had died because I could move my body again. It seemed this was going to be a troublesome dungeon.
