A Path Of Bone And Poison - Chapter 84 Hylia Evolves
Hylia completed her evolution that night. With the battle complete the restriction had finally been lifted. She was a grand total of level 110/10. One hundred levels over what she should have been to evolve. She could have evolved twice in that time, which only meant that her evolution would be even more powerful.

Hylia struggled with the choices. The first was utterly useless to her as she was unable to use magic. It was immediately thrown out as a possibility.
The second choice would more than likely return to her her skills with a hammer, which had been her staple for a long time and was very tempting. Eventually she decided against it as she was now walking the archer path.
The agile tarantula was also tossed out. Agility and dexterity were important to an archer, but she had too many stats she had to work on. Especially wisdom and strength. Without those she would not be a capable archer. At least not with her skills.
That only left two options left. The lesser arachne and the Homo Arachnis. There really was no choice between them. The homo Arachnis was a new path, one that had not been tread before. It was full of uncertainty, and would cost her the skill that allowed her to interact with Yuri.
The lesser arachne was not a path she wanted to walk however. It was only filled with disturbing memories, and she feared she would grow to hate herself. Or worse, she feared that Yuri would grow to detest her.
So she chose Homo Arachnis. She would travel a new road. Hopefully she would not grow to regret it.
Her body began to tingle, and an incredible itching started on her skin. The pitching turned to a sharp pain as her entire body felt as if it was being melted in a giant furnace. She could feel her exoskeleton slowly change, as it went further into her own body. It was not a real skeleton rather a pseudo skeleton. An exoskeleton that was on the inside. It was weird, but the entire thing was weird.
She could feel four of her legs retracting, being pulled inside of her body. They did not disappear, rather they were like hard tubes that fit neatly inside of each other. She knew she would be able to extract or retract them at will. Each of the four legs would have a sharp point, which she could use to stab if she so desired.
The worst was her eyes, she could feel her eyes shifting, two of them stayed where they would normally appear of a humanoid face, but the other six had shifted to her forehead. There six smaller eyes appeared, with the larger of them appearing on the outside. All six of her eyes were jet black, with not a single inkling of an iris.
She could feel the fur on her body begin to shift, it all transferred to her scalp, forming a thick main of hair. The Comoros changed to that of what it had originally been, a deep res, and her fair skin once again returned. She could feel that all of her physical features were almost identical to that of when she had been a cat girl, minus the ears and tail and add in a few more eyes.
There was only one problem.
One small problem.
when she compared her height to the woman she was sleeping on she could not help but notice a rather large discrepancy in their sizes. The woman she was laying on, who was a total height of 4’11 was much larger than she was.
Her total height did not exceed 2 feet tall. She was minute. Short. Even the dwarf wizard would tower over her. That’s when she remembered the last part or the name of the new species. Youth! She was a child! she would have noticed earlier if she had been blessed with a larger chest I her previous body.
She could not help but start to cry, and the noise inevitably woke up me up. I could not help but look at the child that was crying on my chest with shock. When had this got here? I was too young to be a mother!
My shock seemed to make the small girl cry, and for some reason that broke my heart. I pulled the girl close and began to stroke her hair. I sung to her a lullaby my mother had used to sing to me when I was young.
The girl eventually stopped crying, but looked at me with a worried expression. “Do you still love me Yuri? Even if I look like a child?”
The familiar voice caused my mind to go into shock. How could I have not recognized her? Mentally an image of the cat girl I loved and the spider she had become began to fire together. The two images overlapped, forming the girl in front of me. Only much younger. I had to check her status to be sure.
Hylia Morningstar
Race: Home Arachnis
Age: 18 (Youth)
Level 1/50
It was in fact her! Hylia had finally evolved! I happily hugged her close, Assuring her that I loved her. Soon I began to look over her new, naked body. I could see two holes on either side of her spine which she explained to me were her legs. When she extracted them I could not help but marvel at the beautifully designed natural Lances she had.
The rest of her body was mostly the same, except of course for the eyes. But there was one thing that was different. On her right wrist was a spinerette. The web that came out was hard, much harder than steel and closely resembled an arrow. It seemed that her new form had adapted to give her a way to use her previous forms gift.
[Natural Arrows] had stayed mostly the same, but now it used the webbing she produced as the arrows, and not her hair.
She also recieved a title [First of your Kind]
