A Song For A Summer’s Night - Chapter 141
The sun was high at its peak, shining over them. Song Zhen was the one that officiated the wedding, even though they were already legally married.
Song Luli and Long Jie exchanged heart-warming vows, and they slipped golden rings around each other’s fingers. Song Luli didn’t realize how good it felt to see the band on his hand; it made her feel as if he was officially hers. Long Jie then cupped her face, kissing her hard in front of everyone before they pulled away from each other, rasping for breath. He looked at her dotingly as he said, “finally.”
After the wedding ceremony, they went back inside to have dinner and the party.
Long Jie stood up, half-way through the dinner, to tell his speech. He looked at every person directly before he said: “You know, I fell in love with my wife when I was 19 years old. I was 25 when I met her again, but she didn’t even remember me.”
The crowd laughed, and Song Luli felt like burying her flushed face in her hands. “Nevertheless, I pursued her in different ways than normal because I was determined to capture her heart. What do I do you might be thinking? Well. I made her seem like I wasn’t interested, and that made her curious; then, I treated her as a friend, a best friend, which made her very confused. Then before she knew it, I was all she thought about,” He paused with a smile. “I know this because she cared about me; she supported me and was never fearful of expressing herself, of being who she was. And I love her all the more for it.”
With tearful eyes, Song Luli mouthed at him: I love you.
Long Jie bent down to peck her on the lips.
Song Meiling then stood up, wanting to say some words, too. She took the microphone, curling her fingers around the handle. Her boyfriend, Zhang Enyu, watched her with affection, holding one of her hands as she spoke:
“I feel as though I am responsible for Long Jie and Song Luli getting together, you know, for giving up the company and all. But that’d be a lie. I think Long Jie would have found Luli in any shape or state that she was and still make her his. For that, I am grateful to call Long Jie my brother-in-law.” Song Meiling then went on to tell embarrassing stories of Song Luli, which lightened the mood.
After the dinner and speeches, they took on the dancefloor. They had yet to tell everyone Song Luli was pregnant, wanting to wait until it was far enough and showing, to inform everyone that she was with child.
Long Jie danced with her, swaying the night away, holding onto her as if she was the most precious thing in the world. Many of the guests danced, laughed, and drank until their faces flushed.
It was obvious thatSong Meiling, and Zhang Enyu were not reserved when it came to public display of affection; their hands mingled onto each other, their lips barely separated. Song Zhen was with Lan Shufen, eating the buffet away and dancing as if no one was watching.
Su Xiang and Xun Zichen, engaged, were sweeping the dancefloor freely. Most of the members of their family accepted their relationship, and it made them gleefully happy. When Song Luli watched them, she realized that they were the most handsome couple she’d ever seen.
It was at 4 A.M. that every guest had left the house.
Long Jie carried Song Luli up the stairs, towards their new master bedroom. It was their first night at the Long Estate, on the day of their wedding, which made everything even more special.
He placed her over soft sheets of the bed, the skirt of her gown sprawled around her.
“This wedding night was long overdue,” he whispered.
Song Luli’s hand curved around his head. “Then take me now,” she said.
Long Jie removed his jacket, loosening his tie. He then went down to the laces of the back of her dress, unwinding the folds slowly, deliberately brushing his fingers over her hot skin.
He kissed her back as he slipped the dress from her shoulders, over her torso, over her legs, leaving her with nothing but her thin bralette and underwear. He flipped her over to face him. Long Jie went down to her breasts, pushing her bralette down. He put one of her ripe breasts in his mouth while his other hand played with the other nipple, hard and taut beneath his fingers.
He was going slow, not missing any intimate spots of her body. She clutched at him, following the rhythm of his moves. Even though they were very passionate and not shy to turn down sex, every time was different, but the result was the same.
Song Luli helped him out of his clothes, ready to couple together. She took the time to trace his body delicately. Her tattooed arm found his tattooed chest, gazing at their inked skin. Long Jie moved his hand down, preparing her for him.
He then moulded into her, heat against heat, slick and wet. Long Jie moved slow and gently, not wanting to overexert her body. He rasped against her lips, and she kept moaning out his name.
“…Luli…” He called out, lacing their hands together.
“Jie…” she spoke softly in the warm air.
Sweat trickled down their faces, shivering with the tremors of their upcoming climaxes. Long Jie gathered her in his arms, thrusting in her. They gazed at each other, locking eyes, rolling against each other smoothly.
Song Luli gasped as her body convulsed and Long Jie shattered. Mingled together, they breathed in their entwined scents; they gazed at each other’s faces, smiling helplessly.
“Husband,” she whispered.
“Yes?” he breathed.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
It was morning. Naked, married, and pregnant, Song Luli and Long Jie held onto each other in the bed of their new home.
