A Song For A Summer’s Night - Chapter 143
Zhang Enyu’s eyes darkened his lust, and Song Meiling couldn’t get enough of him. The taste of him overwhelmed her senses.
Zhang Enyu complied with her need, equally in need of her. But this time, he took her to shower, knowing he had to clean her up. He bent her over, and she held onto the wall as he took her from behind. He watched as her nails dug into the small titles, and she pushed against him, wanting to feel the fullness of him. This reminded him of that one passionate night he had with her over a hot tub鈥?/p>
After they finished again, Zhang Enyu helped clean their bodies before going to dry up and sleep.
…
The next morning, Song Meiling went to the Long estate to visit her sister, brother-in-law and nephew.
Long Jie answered the door with the restless eyes of a new father, but cheerfulness smile聽etched on his expression. Song Meiling found Song Luli placing her infant to bed.
Long Yat-sen was so adorable that Song Meiling couldn’t wait until he started walking. Long Yat-sen had wisps of black hair, and鈥攚hen he wasn’t sleeping鈥攈is pale-blue eyes would brightly gape.
After putting him to bed, Song Luli met with her and Long Jie in the library study. Song Luli then served them some tea and snacks.
“How’s my little nephew?” Song Meiling asked.
Song Luli smiled. “As good as he can be.聽Long Jie has been working hard between the company and helping me take care of the baby. But we are still learning every day; it’s kind of hard, but very worth it.”
Song Meiling grinned. Long Jie had offered to take time off work to help Song Luli so she could still work. However, Song Luli said that she would let Lan Shufen run the company as she felt like staying at home for a year could be good for her and baby Long.
Song Meiling drank her tea. “You two work so hard,” she said.
“Thank you. And How’s Zhang Enyu?” Song Luli questioned.
Song Meiling blushed. “He’s got a full-time position as a professor, and I’m very proud of him.”
Song Luli’s eyes beamed. “Where?” she asked.
Song Meiling sipped her teacup. “Vancouver.”
Song Luli nodded slowly. “He’s still moving to Canada?”
“Mhm,” Song Meiling replied.
“How do you feel about it?” her younger sister asked.
Song Meiling thought about it. “I’m happy for him. Truly. I wouldn’t want to ever stop him from pursuing his dream.”
Song Luli clasped one of her hands. “You’ve matured so much, Meiling. But you deserve so much happiness.”
Those words made her choke up; tears started to brim in her eyes. She began to sniff, and Song Luli offered her a tissue box, to which Song Meiling did not hesitate to take and blow her nose. She stood up, turning around, finding it difficult to breathe. She didn’t want anyone to see her like that, and yet she wavered.
Song Meiling spaced out, staring at the spines of books blankly. When her eyes focused, she was staring at books in different languages, translated copies.
She turned around abruptly to face her brother-in-law. “Long Jie, have you ever been to France?”
“I spent a year in Lyon,” he replied.
“I need you to translate something. I think I know how to say it…but I can’t spell it, that’s for sure. I don’t know any grammar for French at all.”
“Go ahead,” he told her.
“Mhm…I think it was Je suis…amor…toi?”
Long Jie arched a brow. “Amor is Spanish for ‘love.’ So what I can gather from what you’re trying to say is, ‘Je suis聽amoureux de toi,’ which is French for ‘I am in love with you.’”
Song Meiling’s eyes widened, startled. “I have to go,” she told them quickly. “I’ll see you guys soon!” She then blew a kiss at both of them as she dashed through the door.
She went home immediately, finding 聽Zhang Enyu packing. Her heart sped up quickly, pounding against her ribcage, feeling nervous, afraid, and happy all at the same time. She didn’t know what to do aside from running toward him.
“Meiling,” he called out to her. “What’s wrong?”
She approached him with trembling hands. Seeing as something appeared to be wrong, Zhang Enyu grasped her hands, trying to warm them.
“Enyu. I鈥擨,” she broke off. “I know it’s pointless in telling you when you’re packing up to leave. But if I don’t tell you now, then I’ll regret it. It’s stubborn of me not to realize it before, to not mention this before.”
Zhang Enyu listened, not knowing what she had to say. “Is everything all right鈥?”
“I love you!” she confessed to him suddenly, blushing at the next instant. But she held her chin high, not facing away. “You don’t have to say anything! I just want you to know that I am in love with you! It may sound stupid, but not to me. I’m glad we had this time together, and I’ll cherish it forever! But I love you!”
Zhang Enyu was so stunned, he froze. He then stepped towards her, hugging her tightly. “I waited to hear this.” He then pulled from her. “Come to Canada with me! I know I’m asking you to leave your family and school..and that’s selfish of me, but I promise to make you happy! I will place you in the best school there to complete your studies, and I will be your family!”
聽Song Meiling smiled with welling eyes. She nodded. “Yes,” she breathed.
“Oh, Meiling,” Zhang Enyu said with relief. He kissed her all over her face. “I didn’t want to part with you.”
Song Meiling laughed, wiping the tears from her eyes. “Me neither,” she replied. “I think I can see my life there, as long as it’s with you.”
“You make me so happy. I can’t explain it,” said Zhang Enyu. He then looked at her in the eyes. “Je suis amoureux de toi. I am in love with you, Meiling.”
“I know,” she replied with unexplainable happiness.
