- Volume 1 Chapter 13 Whose Younger Sister Are You?
Standing in front of the open door, a woman dressed in white lab coat. Her lips curled in s.e.xy smirk as she walked in, closed the door in the process, and sat her butt on the couch.
She was Lee Kyunghee, Lee Minho’s older cousin, a resident in this hospital. Her father was the one who helped Lee Minho faking his illness; Doctor Lee Junyoung.
Seeing the one who came was his cousin and not particular person, both of them let out sigh of relief.
“Noona[1], what are you doing here? Why aren’t you working?” Lee Minho asked.
The corner of her lips twitched in annoyance. “Your Noona here is sacrificing her lunch break only to visit her most handsome cousin, but it seems like she is unwelcomed here.” She faked her sobs while wiping the nonexistent tears in the corner of her eyes.
This time it was Lee Minho’s turn to twitch in annoyance. This cousin of his really knew how to act pitiful. If she were not a doctor, he was sure she would be an actress.
“Noona, how are you? I wonder if you still remember me.” Hwang Jaejin politely greeted the older woman.
“Oh? Aren’t you Jaejin? Hwang Jaejin, right?” The spark in her eyes changed as soon as she realized the other person in the room was Hwang Jaejin.
“That’s right, Noona. It’s been a long time.” Hwang Jaejin smiled a bit.
“Waah, this is good. I have no idea you’re in the same campus as this rascal.” Her smile widened, practically grinning from ear to ear.
“We took different major.” Lee Minho said.
They talked about small things for a bit, then Lee Kyunghee expressed the real reason she came.
“So, where is she?” She arched her eyebrows in playful manner. “Don’t act dumb. You know who I am talking about.” The slight smirk on her face was a warning to them not to try anything foolish.
Lee Minho and Hwang Jaejin exchanged glances. She must be talking about Choi Sujin, but why would she be so curious about her?
“She is not here…” Lee Minho answered slowly.
“No shit, Sherlock. I can see that, obviously.” Lee Kyunghee interrupted, rolling her eyes.
“She’s out, buying food for us.” Hwang Jaejin answered.
“You made a girl buy you food?” Her eyes widened, her expression as if saying ‘I can’t believe two grown up men did that to a woman!’
“If not, how could we talk about her?” Lee Minho sighed in defeat.
“Yeah, right. I hope she finds a new boy out there, especially when the two of you are here.” She smirked again.
As if just realizing that fact, Hwang Jaejin jumped and ran out of the room with his key and helmet in his hands. Lee Minho was cursing their idiot decisions and looked panic. He obviously missed the knowing smirk on his cousin’s face.
“Now that your biggest suitor has gone, tell me everything.” She got up, walked towards his bed, and sat down on the chair. Her mischievous expression had disappeared, seriousness was occupying her whole face now.
Lee Minho shot her a confused look. “What do you mean?”
“You have tried this far to get other men away from her, have you thought to tell her your feeling?”
“What feeling? Noona, you must be joking. We are friends!”
Although he said that, his heart thumped hard and a bit painful.
Lee Kyunghee sighed. “Stupid brother, don’t even try to hide it from me. You like her, don’t you?”
Lee Minho’s eyes widened in surprise. His mouth opened, and closed, then opened again, but no words came out from it. He failed to notice the blush that had been creeping up his face. Couldn’t express himself, he hang his head low as his brain worked in chaos.
“So? What’s holding you back?” She asked after a moment of silence.
“I’m happy with how we are right now.” He said meekly.
Lee Kyunghee was about to speak again when the door was pulled open. She turned her head to see who’s coming and stunned when she saw a cute girl came in. Her hair framed her face cutely, a slight blush tinted her cheeks, and what’s more attractive was her pair of round and deep eyes! She was like a doll!
“Hello there! Whose younger sister are you?” Lee Kyunghee asked in cheerful voice. She was weak against adorable creatures. There was no way she could hold herself not to touch this adorable doll-like human. Because of that, she failed to notice the entrance of a tall man called Hwang Jaejin.
Oh my God, oh my God, she is so cute!
Squealing inwardly, she hastened her steps towards the dumbfounded girl. She was just about to reach her when Hwang Jaejin blocked her way. Frowning, she straightened her back and looked at Hwang Jaejin in his eyes. Her glare was frightening, but Hwang Jaejin was unwilling to budge.
Crossing her arms in front of her chest, the sunny older sister was nowhere to be seen. Annoyance and arrogance were seen in her eyes.
The smaller person behind him took a peek from his back and it made her softened. A thought crossed her mind as she looked at Hwang Jaejin.
“She is not your younger sister, right?” She asked.
