- Volume 1 Chapter 4 Who Am I? Where Am I?
The rest of the class passed by like a wind. Choi Sujin officially lost herself when she found out she stuck with Lee Minho til the end of semester in the same group. The news was too shocking to her, even when Hwang Jaejin’s name was mentioned to be in the same group with her, she didn’t respond. Her eyes seemed empty as her mind was in chaos.
Who am I? Where am I?
Those questions appeared in her mind repeatedly. What the lecturer said about their first assignment unfortunately went into her ears and bounced back to air and disappeared. She snapped back to reality only when they left the class, with Hwang Jaejin on her right side and Lee Minho on her left side -and she was moving like a robot.
“What the…!!” She jumped away, glaring at the both of them in disbelief.
“You scared me!” Lee Minho glared at her back. Her sudden movement seemed to really startle him.
“Do you have any other ideas?” Hwang Jaejin asked as he tapped on his phone.
“Idea? What idea?” Fully alert, she looked at Hwang Jaejin. “Why are you here?” Her eyebrows frowned.
“What do you mean why I am here? Where should I be if it’s not here?” Hwang Jaejin arched his eyebrows as he asked half-laughing.
“Where is Min Ah?” Choi Sujin looked around them but she couldn’t notice the presence of her friend.
“She is with her group. You, on the other hand, stuck with us as your group.” Lee Minho said.
Her frown getting deeper. “What group?”
“Are you for real? You’re not only short, you’re also dumb, huh?”
Mentioning about her height made her instinctively stomped forward. Dark cloud surrounded her as she kicked his sin as hard as she could. She didn’t even flinch when Lee Minho jumped in pain while holding his right leg.
“Say that again and I’ll aim for your family jewels next!” She threatened through her gritted teeth.
Hwang Jaejin flinched when he heard her threat, but then burst into laughter. The icy image he had on him was destroyed in a blink when he heard how Choi Sujin threatened Lee Minho. Who would have thought that a small girl like her was capable of threatening people? And that kick, wow, Hwang Jaejin knew it was not weak.
“F*ck!” Lee Minho cursed. Gritting his teeth, he shot her an angry glare which she accepted head on.
“Crazy witch!” Mumbling under his breath, Lee Minho cursed her again.
“This witch is going to put a curse on you if you insult me again!” Choi Sujin said bravely, totally lost her cool. She didn’t care about Prince Lee’s admirers anymore. All she wanted to do was to give this bastard a lesson.
“You dare?!” Lee Minho glared at her as he stood tall, trying to overwhelm the smaller girl with his height.
“Why not?” Not being intimidated even for a bit, Choi Sujin looked up and met his eyes.
“Both of you should stop, really. People are staring at you guys.” Hwang Jaejin reminded them after he got control over his laughter. Putting his hand on Lee Minho’s shoulder, he said, “And you must apologize. It’s not cool to call a lady shorty, you know? Not to mention you called her dumb.”
Choi Sujin scoffed. “You should really learn from Hwang Jaejin-ssi about manner, Lee Minho-ssi.”
“Now tell me, if she is not dumb, then what is she? She doesn’t even know we are a group.” Lee Minho protested.
Feeling annoyed, she couldn’t help herself not to say, “Well, I guess being in a group with you decrease my intelligence. You should get out from the group in order for me to gain my precious intelligence.”
“Damn you, Shorty! Why blaming me for your dumbness?”
“A smart person doesn’t need to explain herself to a dumb.” Smirking, she turned her head towards Hwang Jaejin.
“You…!!” Lee Minho was now fuming with rage.
“Okay, so hear me out. You, this guy here, and me are in a group. We have an assignment from our lecturer today to do some book reviews. Our main genre would be criminal type of books. So, we were discussing about where to find our books.” Hwang Jaejin explained, ignoring the fuming mad Lee Minho.
“Library, of course.” She suddenly had the urge to roll her eyes.
“No sh*t, Sherlock!” Lee Minho, still rubbing his sin, spat those three words, which earned him a deadly glare from Choi Sujin.
“I’ve checked. Our library doesn’t have that many references about our genre. How about we head to the main library near the post-graduate building?” Hwang Jaejin said.
“Sure.” Choi Sujin shrugged. Her mind moved fast in digesting these information. There was no way she would let this electricity pole call her dumb!
One, somehow, with the interference of Goddess of Life, she stuck with this bastard called Lee Minho for a whole semester, and worse, she even got in to the same group as him.
Two, as Goddess of Life pulling string of fate again, the other Prince, Hwang Jaejin, also stuck with her in the same group.
Called it fortune or doom, Choi Sujin knew for sure now that she had realized about the importance of this thing, she had made a quite number of enemy when these two most popular junior males joined her group. And even more enemies when she kicked the hot-blooded Prince Lee.
