- Chapter 2:It was my choice.
For a moment Luiza’s brain could no longer perceive the information from the outside. When she came to her senses, she was staring blankly out of her room’s window. She didn’t know how she got home.
Words that were spoken by the doctor replayed inside of her head again and again:
‘your mother will likely die in 2 to 3 months time.’
Luiza knew that her mother’s heart was very weak and that’s why they were undergoing treatment and visited the doctor regularly. However it was all in vain. The heart could no longer support her mother’s body. If doctors will not be able to find a heart transplant, her life will be greatly endangered.
Luiza stood up and wandered aimlessly out of the room. Her footsteps loudly echoed in the empty halls and rooms of her small but elegant house. Her lifeless gaze landed on bookshelf full with books of many kinds of genres. Horror, mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, adventure and many other books were carefully alined on the shelfs. Near those shelfs a cosy armchair was placed. This corner of the room was Luiza’s little world.
Luiza was a famous model, rich and her behaviour attracted many people. She was taking care of her dear mother and doing the chores. Her mother suggested that they should just hire some servants so that Luiza could rest, but Luiza declined this idea. Whether she was cleaning, cooking or washing, she felt that her connection to her mother was strong, since previously they were used to do that together.
The more sweet memories surfaced in her mind, the more her heart was tormented in pain. Why? Why did this happen?

The next day she visited her mother. She lied unconsciousness since yesterday. As Luiza sat by her side a doctor came into the room. A slight shadow could be seen in her eyes as she spoke to Luiza.
“Luiza, we are really sorry. We did the best we could.”
“Yes I know. Thank you for that.”
Luiza showed her charming, bright smile, but the doctor didn’t seem to be at ease. On the contrary, her eyes turned even darker.
“Luiza… we.. I’m sorry. today morning more accurate tests were made that showed that your mother has no more than 2-3 week left. It is impossible for us to find a suitable transplant in this period.”
Doctor looked into Luiza’s eyes while preparing herself to be blamed and cursed, but she couldn’t find a trace of negative emotions in those azure, icy-cold eyes. What met her gaze was a determinant, strong will.
“As I thought.”
Cold and detached voice made the heart of the doctor freeze.
“W-we are..”
“No, it’s alright. I came here prepared. could you please help me to meet the Head doctor?”

After all analysis were done, necessary papers signed and relatives were informed, a woman was led into an empty, white room. The woman stood leaning against the wall and looked at the gun that was pointed at her.
‘I called my brothers and sister and they agreed to take care of mother in my stead. I’m sorry, even though you already have your own family, I still pushed my wishes on you.’
“Are you really sure, Ms Diranoka?”, the Head of this hospital asked her.
The doctor that was taking care of her mother was crying like a newborn baby.
Luiza looked at her warmly , smiled and said:
“Ms. Liman, thank you for taking care of mother. Bye!”
“Yes. I’m ready. It was my choice after all.”
” Well… it was nice to know you. bye.”
At this very moment a bullet was fired and a clean hole appeared in Luiza’s forehead. Luiza smiled for the last time and everything turned black.
