Zhen Han didn’t say anything further as tightly hugged his mother. He was a kid unaffected by the ways of the world and hence his thought process was pure. All he wanted in his life is to see his mother happy.
Perhaps as he matures with age, he will lose the innocence and the love he has for his mother. This is something which happens with everyone and this thought made Lin Li afraid.
She left the Awakening Pagoda area with her son but no one dared to stop her. Now she has gained a standing in the clan…
“None of you will reveal what you witnessed today,” Lin Xinu said to the younger generation and the elders alike. He knew if today’s events were known by the other clans then they would use all their powers to kill Zhen Han.
How can the other great clans remain calm knowing a monster with heaven-defying potential like Zhen Han existed?
He knew he couldn’t trust everyone to remain silent so he planned to erase the memories of younger generation at the very least. But before this he has to settle the affairs with the ‘guest’ from other empire.
Lin Xinu turned his face towards the chief envoy from Vermilion Empire. Qin Auir didn’t showed any emotions on his face as he said, “Don’t you worry for I have no malicious intentions against that kid. If anything I care about him.”
“I am aware and I want to know the reason,” Lin Xinu said.
“A marriage between that kid and a princess from my Empire..is a match made in Heavens,” Win Auir said with a smile.
His words fell on everyone’s ears like a thunderclap. The audience didn’t dare believe the words.
The members of the younger generation had envious expression on their face thinking how Zhen Han would become a son-in-law to an imperial family but the expression on the senior generation was grave.
“As Han’er’s seniors the matter of marriage is in our hands and not yours,” One of the clan elder said.
“Yes, you can’t talk about such things without our permission,” Another elder interjected. The eders wanted to marry their relatives to Zhen Han so how could they allow someone from a foreign Empire take this opportunity ?
Qin Auir just smiled at their response while he secretly eyed the expression of Zhen Han’s father and grandparents.
Lin Xinu understood why Qin Auir brought the topic in front of everyone. He wanted to sow dissent between Lin clan elders and Zhen family. It was no secret that before today how badly Zhen family was treated. Now after learning of Zhen Han’s potential the elders acted as his seniors in place of his actual family. This could be used as a great tool by Qin Auir for marriage talks.
“Auir, that kid’s marriage can be only decided by his grandfather. I don’t have any right on this much less the elders of my clan for Zhen family is just a guest,” Lin Xinu said. He was an old fox and knew how to manage the situation.
On one hand he gave respect to Zhen family but on the other hand he reminded Zhen family about their dependence on Lin clan. It was a classic example of carrot and stick.
“Of course. But don’t you think you should erase the memories of your younger generation regarding today’s incident,” Qin Auir changed the topic.
Lin Xinu nodded his head. If it was possible he didn’t want to erase their memories due to the side effects. But the secrets of today were far more important.
In fact, he wanted to erase the memories of the Elders as well but he knew it was very difficult given their cultivation progress so he has to let it go. He has other ways to keep their mouth shut though but there was fear of them not being fully effective.
“Elders, wipe out the memories of younger generation and replace it with new events,” Lin Xinu thought for a minute before continuing, “In the new memories, the performance of Zhen Han should be extraordinary but not heaven-defying.”
Lin Xinu told the details to be filled in new memories which showed Zhen Han’s splendor performance. The members of the younger generation wanted to protest but after seeing the expression of clan patriarch they didn’t darw utter a word. They felt not only the Heavens but even the clan was being heavily biased towards Zhen Han.
The Elders on the other hand didn’t understood why the new memories should show Zhen Han in extraordinary light. Shouldn’t his performance be poor so as to not attract attention?
“The best lies are always a mixture of half truth and half fiction,” Qin Auir explained.
The elders stared blankly at him which made Qin Auir sigh in pity. He explained to them in simple words,”What do you think will happen in future when that kid showcase his talent in front of everyone? Don’t you think he would attract scrutiny of the entire world if they believed he was a trash? But if you say he was a talented genius from start, then the people would be only surprised by his performance and not shocked.”
One of the elder interjected in between, “If we tell he is extraordinary then also it would bring attention to him. It is also dangerous…”
This time Lin Xinu answered,” There is no perfect option in life. While the path I suggested has its demerits, it is more beneficial in long run. Some attention now is better compared to the entire world’s scrutiny in future.”
The Elders finally nodded in understanding.

In the room of Lin Li:
Lin Li covered her room with array patterns she has learned from Blood Witch’s memories. These array could warn her in advance if someone tried to spy through divine perception or other means.
Zhen Han sat on the bed looking at every action of his mother carefully. He couldn’t understand why she was being so serious today.
“Mom, what are those arrays?” He asked her after she has completed the arrays.
“Those arrays exist to make sure no one will listen to our conversation,” Lin Li explained
“Why?” Zhen Han didn’t knew what topic would require such discretion.
“Because I am going to tell you about your birth,” Lin Li said with a serious expression.
“My birth?” Zhen Han was feeling nervous after hearing her say such words in a serious voice. He hastily said, “Mom, please don’t tell me you found me on a river boat or something. Surely I am your son, right?”
Lin Li was dumbstruck by his words. She couldn’t help but smile seeing his nervous expression.
“Haha, you are my flesh and blood,” Lin Li said with an amused expression.
“Great!” Zhen Han rejoiced.
“Anyways, before I talk about your birth…promise me one thing,” Lin Li said.
“Promise?”
“Yes. Promise me you will never reveal the details of our conversation today to anyone including your uncle, father or grandfather.”
Zhen Han couldn’t understand why his mother would ask him such a promise but he nevertheless agreed.
“I will never reveal it to anyone I promise,” Zhen Han sincerely said.
“Good,” Lin Li smiled.
Zhen Han’s father, paternal grandfather, and maternal grandfather has witnessed the process of violet bead fusing with Zhen Han just as he was born. They also knew the violet bead was responsible for the violet glow phenomenon throughout the continent but that was the extent of their knowledge.
They didn’t knew about how Zhen Han made thousands of beasts make love with a unlucky young man. Nor they knew he was responsible for the destruction of the imperial capital.
Lin Li didn’t dared reveal the details to anyone for the impact would be far too strong.
It has to be known that Zhen Han’s paternal grandfather is the son of Skyrise Emperor. The same Emperor who died in the incident at the capital.
The tree has told Lin Li that the Emperor and few others had malicious intention against her son which was why they have to die. But nevertheless the Emperor was the father of her father-in-law.
How will her father-in-law feel or react after learning that his father was killed by the powers of his grandson?
How will Zhen Han’s father feel after knowing the current crisis in their family are the consequences of Zhen Han’s power?
Lin Li has learned it with a heavy cost about the fragile nature of human heart. She didn’t dare take any risk.
Of course, she didn’t planned to reveal the entire details to her son now as well.
She promised herself she will reveal the full details when he matured but not now.
Otherwise what will happen if he becomes self-satisfied on his powers? Who could say he wouldn’t become an arrogant young master so drunk on his potential that he would waste it?
Not to mention the guilt he would feel for wiping out millions of people at the capital. He was only a kid who has never killed an animal so how would he feel after learning that his powers have exterminated millions?
For now, she just wanted him to know he has power beyond that of a normal kid.
“Mom, now tell me what you want to say,” Zhen Han said.
“You are a reincarnation of a very strong entity,” Lin Li paused before continuing,” To be precise you are the tenth reincarnation of that entity.”
Lin Li has concluded this based on the words of tree and the recent incomplete Manifestation of Zhen Han in Awakening Pagoda.
“Reincarnation?” Zhen Han was dumbstruck by the words. He was a kid so he didn’t realized the gravity of ‘reincarnation’ but he knew it was something deemed as impossible.
He then thought about the ‘dream’ of nine coffins with strange engravings. He wasn’t able to remember the full details but he recalled witnessing the the past of the people in those coffins.
“That philosopher and butterfly in my dream are my past self?” Zhen Han has a hard time believing.
“You dreamed about your previous reincarnations?” Lin Li asked in a voice filled with disbelief.
She thought it was impossible otherwise her clan would have been wiped out by the Celestial Punishment just like what happened in the imperial capital. She thought that even if he evaded the attention of Celestial Punishment, there is still the sword made from grey matter! The tree has told her that this world was strange as it is connected to ‘Well Of Creation’.
“I am not sure if it was a dream,” Zhen Han said. He explained to her about the ‘universe’ he visited and the nine coffins.
“That should be your Inner World,” Lin Li sighed in relief.
“Inner World?”
“Every living being has a inner world regardless of which species they are. Only when you have reached a certain level of cultivation could you access it,” Lin Li patiently explained, “You haven’t achieved the required cultivation which is why you were not able to enter the planets inside your inner world.”
“Everyone has a universe inside their inner world?” Zhen Han knew about words such as ‘planet’, ‘asteroid’, ‘galaxy’, etc ever since he arrived in his inner world though he was never taught such words.
“Nope. It is different for everyone,” Lin Li said.
“I wasn’t able to see what were my last two reincarnation,” Zhen Han said.
“I am aware but you don’t have to worry. As long as you make enough progress you will be able to knowthem,” Lin Li took her child’s hand in hers before continuing, “Han’er, you might not have the memories of your previous reincarnations but they have given you powers you could never imagine.”
“Powers? I don’t feel any power.”
“The power is inside you in the form of a violet bead,” Lin Li placed a finger on his glabella before continuing, “It is always protecting you.”
Zhen Han tried to feel the presence of bead she mentioned but he felt nothing. He looked at her as if she was lying.
“Han’er, you couldn’t feel or control that power in a moment. It would take years or perhaps decades,” Lin Li kissed him on his forehead before continuing, “Don’t waste your life pursuing that power. Instead spend your time on things you care for.”
Zhen Han nodded his head and said, ” Mom, you could rest assured I will never become someone you will be ashamed of.”
The words she has said to him regarding self-satisfaction and arrogance were still fresh in mind.
Lin Li thought of the what he has said to her two years ago in a restaurant: “Mom, I promise you that I would have grand aspirations! I would become top in everything I strive for!”
Now, once again he has reassured her. For her it was enough…

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away.
A flying boat was proceeding towards the land of Lin clan. There was a young man in the boat sitting in lotus position.
Anyone who see this man for the first time would feel he is a scholarly man full of kindness. The first impression of this man would be that he is someone whom you can always trust.
“It has been more than a month since I left the clan. I hope Han’er did well in the Awakening ceremony,” the young man said to himself.
“Even if he performed poorly it doesn’t matter! He is my nephew and I will protect him!” The young man promised.
The name of this young man is Lin Zheng! Yes, he is the ‘teacher’ of Zhen Han!
Zhen Han address him as ‘Uncle Zhen’ but others address him as ‘Blackheart Lin’ or ‘Great Swindler’. For he is the same person who scammed millions of spirit stones through fake aphrodisiac pill. He is also the one who exhorted the elders and juniors alike by recording their activities in Divine Pleasure House.
“I hope they didn’t bullied sister and Han’er while I was away otherwise I will screw them,” Lin Zheng has a savage smile on his face not suiting his kind face.
He has taken care of Lin Li from the moment she was born. You could even say he has treated her like a daughter instead of a sister. He has regretted for being absent when her child was born.
When he finally got to meet her son, it was in bad conditions with Zhen family seeking asylum. For him, Zhen Han was a important part of his life just like Lin Li. They were connected by the ties of blood.
He didn’t wanted Zhen Han to suffer bullying in clan which is why he taught him the art of humiliation and comeback.
“Humiliation and comeback can’t guarantee survival or food,” Lin Zheng mumbled after increasing the speed of flying boat, ” But a man talented in Dao of Shamelessness can achieve the impossible!”
“Han’er, just hang on till I return. I will make sure you become the most shameless man the world has seen!” Lin Zheng’s eyes were filled with expectations.
