Affinity:Chaos - Chapter 1605: Causing Havoc In The Castles
The cloaked figure headed straight to the Fifth Prince’s room and looked at the Fifth Prince while removing the cloak hiding his face from the world, revealing the face of Reynolds.
“Haha, you did a good job.” He laughed out loud as he complimented the Fifth Prince’s acting, well, technically, it was Grey acting under disguise as the Fifth Prince since he was under his control.
“Short tempered people are easy to control. Kill a fly in their house and they will want to fight with you, questioning why you killed their favorite fly.” The Fifth Prince replied.
“I cut off the arm of the only Sovereign in the castle, hope that won’t have any issues with the plan?” Reynolds asked.
“It’s perfect actually, this will mean that you’re the strongest person here and the warriors, including that elder will be forced to obey your orders, especially since it’s in line with what the Prince wants.” The Fifth Prince explained.
Reynolds nodded and took a glance around, he already had an excuse if he was asked about his puppet. He’ll go with the same excuse as Grey when he was fighting with Old man Kerr, his puppet was destroyed during a tough battle.
“How are things on Klaus’ end?” He asked the Fifth Prince.
“Well, since he’s on the side of the culprits, he’s keeping a low profile.” The Fifth Prince answered.
“When you say low profile, how low?” Reynolds raised a brow, he has never known Klaus to be someone who likes keeping low profiles, especially in a world like this where they were free to do almost whatever they wanted to do.
The Fifth Prince looked at Reynolds, not replying to his question…
….
In the Fourth Prince’s kingdom.
Klaus wore a simple mask, he didn’t even care to hide his identity. Very few people saw him with the Seventh Prince, and other than the Second Prince, he didn’t need to worry about anyone else.
“Where are the fruits?” He asked lazily while sitting on a swinging chair. A servant was by his side fanning him with a large fan that he could barely hold, while another servant could be seen hand feeding him.
“Are you guys crazy? I’ve been waiting for over a minute now?” He yelled, frightening the servant feeding him.
“It’s on his way, master.” The Gnome servant feeding him bowed her head in fear as she explained, she didn’t want to annoy this young master who was recruited by the Fourth Prince recently. It’s said that he’s the strongest person in the castle, and so he was given the freedom to do whatever he wanted by the Fourth Prince.
“Get it here now, I don’t want to request for it again.” Klaus said with a cold expression.
The young Gnome nodded fearfully and rushed out to get the fruits.
The fruits Klaus requested for were one of the most important fruits in the castle, and only the Fourth Prince has been seen eating them. However, Klaus wanted it, but they had to verify from the Fourth Prince before giving it to him.
Klaus was soon starting to feel irritated, he looked at the Gnomes with a calm expression, although he wasn’t a fan of treating servants in this manner, he didn’t care too much about the Gnomes. He has encountered a few Gnome servants, and all of them seemed to have something against humans. They all feel humans are beneath them and shouldn’t be allowed to exist. In fact, these servant Gnomes have human servants captured in their homes who do all the work for them.
The reason these guys willingly work in the castle is because they felt they could have a chance to catch the attention of the Princes. The young lady Klaus yelled out was in the Venerable stage, although she just broke through, but it was quite an impressive feat given her age. Unfortunately for her, she was tasked with taking care of Klaus.
‘Is involving these guys right?’
This was a question that flashed through Klaus’ head, but when he thought about all the humans that have been turned into puppets, and the outcome that awaits the innocent humans if the Gnome successfully invades the Aurora Continent, he cut off the feeling of pity he had for these people. If given the chance, the man fanning him wouldn’t think twice before killing him, nor would the young lady as well. In the end, it’s all about perspectives, people say some things are wrong basically because they don’t benefit from it, as long as they start benefiting from it, they’ll never see it as something wrong any longer.
“Instead of waiting to die, why not die fighting?” Klaus muttered under his breath.
He stood up and walked in the direction where the fruit is kept in the castle.
When the man fanning him saw this, he shivered in fright, it was as if he could tell that the young lady was going to be in serious trouble.
And it was just as he predicted, Klaus went into the place and when he saw the young lady pleading with the guards to let her take the fruits, his expression changed.
“What’s the meaning of this?” He looked at the guards coldly.
The man previously fanning Klaus was right, bad things were going to happen with Klaus personally going there, but it wasn’t going to happen to the young lady.
“My… my Lord, those fruits are only eaten by His Highness, and he forbade us from letting anyone else eat it. We sent…”
The head of the man explaining to Klaus fell to the ground making a thud sound before rolling to the side, the body of the man however, stayed standing.
“Such a majestic death.” Klaus commented, he looked at the other guard and said, “You, complete what he is trying to say, and be faster this time.”
“We sent someone to ask for permission from His Highness.” The guard replied hurriedly, shaking from fear. He just watched his partner lose his life in a matter of seconds, he couldn’t even defend himself. He couldn’t believe the Fourth Prince would allow someone like this to enter the castle.
Of all the Necromancers that have entered the castles, Klaus could be said to be the most ruthless one, and the only one who doesn’t seem to care about the Gnome’s lives.
“Oh, so do I look like someone that can’t be allowed to take whatever I want? I already have all the permission I want. Let her take what she wants, and when your partner comes, you’ll receive the information needed.” Klaus ordered casually, he didn’t even act like someone who just killed a person.
The guard froze, afraid of infuriating the Fourth Prince.
“Do you want to end up like him and I still get to take what I want?” Klaus raised a brow.
The guard shook his head and stepped away.
Klaus could’ve easily walked in and taken what he wanted, but he wanted to instill fear in the heart of the guard as well as the young lady.
“Good choice, bring the fruits to my table, I’ll be waiting for you.”
Klaus walked back to where he was sitting.
Some minutes later, in the Fourth Prince’s chambers.
“Your Highness, this person is self-centered and proud, he can not serve you well.” A middle-aged man said, his body was stoic, and he had a long beard.
“Oh, what did he do?” The Fourth Prince asked calmly.
“He’s only been here for a few days, but he has killed ten guards for not obeying him.” The man replied angrily, they were Gnomes, yet a human was walking all over them.
“Oh, why did they disobey him?” The Fourth Prince asked calmly.
“He wanted access to things only you can have.” The man explained.
“I clearly gave the order that he should be allowed to have what he wants.” The Fourth Prince said.
“Your Highness, you didn’t.” The man said.
“Huh? I didn’t? Maybe I forgot, anyway, I’m giving the order now. Unless you can defeat him, he’s allowed to do whatever he wants.” The Fourth Prince acted surprised but still went on to give out the order.
The man looked at the Fourth Prince, stunned, he has never seen him like this before.
The middle-aged man left the Prince’s chamber and stepped out. Outside, a few people were waiting for him.
“How did it go? Will His Highness reprimand the bastard?”
“Come.”
The middle-aged man didn’t want to speak about the Fourth Prince outside his doors, so he took them somewhere else.
“Something is wrong with the Prince, he’s acting strange. First he killed the Fifth Prince’s servant even though he knew she only came to deliver a message, and now he’s giving free reign to such a figure.”
“What can we do?” Another one asked with a cold expression.
“Defeat him and we can control him.” The middle-aged man told them the Prince’s words.
