Affinity:Chaos - Chapter 1621: We Want To Fight II
The Old man looked at Grey and then at Klaus, he could tell Grey was the leader of the group, so he turned his attention to him, “Young man, you’re a human, and I don’t know how things are done in your world, but in my world, we take hierarchy seriously. I might not be of a higher hierarchy than you, but he is and has every right to give you orders.”
Grey looked at the Prince who was pointed at by the Old man, he chuckled and said, “That’s all under the premise he isn’t a traitor to the throne. But from all the evidence gathered, he’s clearly someone that should be put down before he becomes a real threat.”
“So no, he has zero rights to give me orders.”
Grey looked in the direction of the deeper parts of the mansion and said to Klaus, “Let’s go deal with those guys, the sooner we deal with them, the better it is for us.”
Klaus nodded, already bored with dealing with the Old man and the spineless Prince.
Grey and Klaus left this place, and told Void to remove what they used in blocking their presence from the experts hiding in the mansion.
The second their aura was exposed, two powerful roars came from deep in the mansion.
“Who dares to sneak into our house?”
“Die intruder!”
One of the voices questioned the identity of the people, while the other, after getting some clues about the intruders, attacked immediately.
Boom!
The roof of the mansion was blown to bits by a powerful force.
The experts attacked, but Grey and Klaus would not be deterred.
The impact from their clash destroyed the roof of the mansion.
Two old shriveled figures appeared before the youthful Grey and Klaus who stood opposite them with calm expressions.
“Kids?” One of the figures asked with a confused expression, he looked at the Old man who Grey and the others were talking to a few seconds ago.
“Who are they?”
“You don’t need to wait for them, we’ll give you the information you need to know.” Grey took a step forward and said, “Your family assassinated the Third and Sixth Prince, for that, we’ve been sent to deliver your heads to the First and Second Princes.”
Grey’s voice wasn’t loud, but it was clear enough for the figures to hear it, not just them, but everyone around the mansion.
The eyes of the two figures changed and they turned to the Old man.
“He’s lying!” The Old man exclaimed.
He didn’t need any explanation to understand what Grey was trying to do, he was stating the reason he is about to wipe out their family, and ensured those people around overheard him. This is basically a death sentence, even the two figures who just appeared knew what Grey’s actions meant, hence the reason they took a glance at the Old man who was more like the Family Head.
“Kid, you can’t come up with such accusations based on things you feel like. If you have any issues with our family, you can come at us and we’ll talk about it, what’s with this absurd accusations?” One of the figures asked.
“Simple, we’re here to judge you, and also carry out the execution.” Klaus was the one who replied this time.
The two figures, both Old men with white hairs. Although compared to Grey and Klaus, their figures were relatively smaller, they didn’t look out of place while facing the duo.
“It’s okay that you sneaked into my mansion, but raising such accusations will not be taken lying down.” The other Old man didn’t have the calm nature of the one who had been talking, so he attacked once again. He was the one who also attacked the first time.
Klaus blocked the Old man’s attack, it was a fire elemental attack, and his water element was used to block it easily. The Old man’s eyes widened when he saw how Klaus was able to block his attack without any stress.
Grey didn’t get involved, rather, he looked at the other Old man and asked, “What do you have to say about your family’s actions?”
“We didn’t do anything.” The Old man who was the family head was the one who spoke up.
Grey’s eyes turned cold as he looked at the man, “I’m no longer speaking to you, you can sit by the side and keep quiet, the real people in charge are talking, don’t make me repeat myself.”
The Family Head looked at the shriveled Old man who was standing opposite Grey, and the Old man nodded.
“Kids should be taught manners. You humans always feel above everyone once you’ve grown to a certain level. I accept that you’re a genius, but here, you have to keep your pride in check, if not, you’ll bite off more than you can chew. And this situation, kid, is one of those instances.”
Grey shrugged, but reacted instantly, blocking the attack that appeared from behind him. It was from a puppet that appeared behind him. The puppet used its fist, so when Grey turned around, he blocked it with his fists, and they stayed in that position, with no one moving an inch. He smiled and a golden light appeared, exploding in front of the puppet.
The puppet was forced back, but the Old man attacked at the same time.
Grey was expecting this and used his space element to dodge the attack, before unleashing a powerful lightning strike. The strike was about to connect with the Old man, but the Old man used the darkness element to block the attack.
The exchange between the duo showed that the gap in strength wasn’t too much. It is almost unnoticeable.
The eyes of the Family Head and the Prince were filled with disbelief, they heard about the genius of the Seventh Prince’s recruits, but never did they think they would be this powerful.
Just the impact from the two attacks shattered more than half of the mansion, the other half has been frozen solid by Klaus who didn’t care about the safety of most of the people in the mansion. To him, all Gnomes should be killed, if he could, he didn’t mind killing as many as he could.
The Old man didn’t expect Klaus to be this aggressive, he brought out his puppet, but Klaus was still able to hold his own against them, although it was a little harder for him, he could still keep himself alive against them.
The two Old men felt shock in their hearts. One has to know that neither Grey or Klaus has made use of their puppets yet, the second they do, it’s clear to see whose favor the battle will shift to.
The Family Head looked at the Prince and asked, “How are they this powerful?”
“I don’t know. I heard that one survived…” The Prince has heard of Grey surviving the attack of the First Prince’s Necromancer, so he pointed it out to the Family Head.
The Prince was in shock, the strength Grey and Klaus were showing shouldn’t be possible. This is above the level of the Prince, but he knew that in the Sovereign Plane, one stage difference is massive, yet Grey and Klaus were bridging a three stage gap. They still thought they were in the First stage. Even the Family Head who was in the First stage couldn’t sense the cultivation stage of the duo.
The two Old men could tell that Grey and Klaus were in the Second stage, and this is the reason they were left speechless. These were people who were two stages below them, yet they couldn’t put them down quickly, in fact, they were even fighting on equal footing.
The Family Head wanted to make a move, but Reynolds took a step forward and shook his head, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. After saying this, he took to the sky, and attacked the puppet fighting Klaus.
Klaus might be stronger, but he doesn’t have the ability of Grey to evade attacks, so when faced against the Old man and the puppet, even though he could keep himself alive, he couldn’t do much against his opponent unless an opportunity presents itself.
With Reynolds helping out, Alice was the only one left. The Family Head thought about his chances against her, but refrained from making any funny moves. There is only one more Sovereign aside from him in the Family, and that person is hidden somewhere in the city. The person is a First stage Sovereign like himself, but he’s stronger.
Given the scale of the battle, he knew the person would arrive soon. Once the person comes, he’ll join hands with the person against Alice.
Grey was calmly keeping the Old man and his puppet in check, Klaus and Reynolds were also comfortably fighting their opponents. Neither party has gone all-out yet, but this wouldn’t be an easy battle for either side, so they weren’t in a hurry lest they make a mistake.
