Affinity:Chaos - Chapter 1627: Crazy Training
The Northern part of the Gnome world. The Gnomes Palace is located in the central area of the Gnome world. The treasure which the Second Prince is grooming is located at the Northern part of the Gnome world. In fact, it is located on a series of islands that were closely connected. According to what Grey knew about it, these islands were home to some of the strongest Gnomes in the history of the Gnome world. It’s called the Seven Miasma Islands. The Islands were formed in the shape of an array, and at the center of the island was a terrifying poison miasma. The Seven Gnomes who stayed in the Seven Miasma Island all cultivated with the aid of poison miasma. It has been tens of thousands of years since they attained Godhood and left the Gnome world, yet the miasma was still present in the Gnome world. It’s said all seven island masters attained Godhood at the same time, breaking through while within the miasma. At the center of the miasma, it’s rumored that there’s a trace of divinity from when the seven achieved Godhood, but it’s all just a rumor since very few have dared to enter, and they didn’t dare to reach the center. The middle of the miasma contains the most potent poison in the entire place. And since the people who entered didn’t sense any sort of treasures, they didn’t think there was any form of treasure there. Grey has no plans of searching for treasures in the miasma, all he wants to do is let the miasma wreck havoc to his physical body. He wants to use the constant break and repair of his physical body to strengthen it. This is one of the most extreme ways of cultivating. It can also be done to one’s core, but the pain is almost unbearable. Most people would rather use a softer method than use such a method. Grey doesn’t have any problems with using such a method. He has gone through countless pains, and since he’s well aware that he won’t die from the miasma, well, at least once it’s too much he can always leave. The miasmas he has been entering were not on the same level as this one, so he will be very cautious while entering. When the group got to the Seven Miasma Island, Void was able to sense the presence of some people. According to the Second Prince, the treasure was located on the third island from the right, and that was the place Void sensed the most experts. In fact, there were well over ten people in the Sixth stage of the Sovereign Plane, and three in the Seventh stage. Grey knew these people couldn’t afford to pass up the chance, hence even when the Emperor called, they didn’t respond. Luckily, the strongest were only in the Seventh stage. If people in the Eighth and Ninth stage were to appear, Grey would have to forfeit the thought of taking the treasure. There’s no chance he could even seize it for the Second Prince, much less take it from him later.
“I’ll head into the miasma first, you guys can hang around. With those tokens, you have nothing to worry about if people approach you. But as long as you guys don’t go in the direction of the treasure, you should be fine.” Grey said and disappeared, leaving the bunny leader and Void with them. Their best chance of escaping was with the aid of the two small creatures, so there was no way he would take them with him as well. Besides, neither of them wanted to step into the poison miasma. From this distance, they could sense the toxicity of it, it was too dangerous. Klaus and the others headed to the other islands. These islands were filled with Magical Beasts, some of them looking demonic due to the miasma, and it wasn’t really habitable for people, even the Gnomes who have a natural darkness elemental affinity. ….
Grey wasn’t bothered with his friends, he knew they would stay out of trouble. Although with Klaus he was a little afraid, but with Alice there, she will keep him in check. On his way to the miasma, he sensed some spiritual senses locked on him, but the second they saw his destination, they quickly detached from him. The ferocity of the miasma can corrode their spiritual senses, even though it’s just a tiny bit, most people wouldn’t want to feel the pain of their spiritual senses being corroded and being forced to cut it off. One of the reasons Grey is seen as a menace to the Gnomes is not just his ability to make their puppets useless, but the danger that comes with forcefully cutting off their links to their puppets. Their spiritual senses are cut, which momentarily puts them in a frozen state. Even if it’s for barely a second, that’s enough time for an expert to kill them. Grey flashed through the skies of the Seven Islands and soon got to the middle. All seven islands were connected in the middle. From where Grey stood, he could see that the middle was more like a bottomless pit. He couldn’t tell where it ended, but he didn’t mind. Without any fear, he took the first step towards the miasma. He was soon standing a few hundred meters from the miasma, and he felt his heart shake. The miasma in his body felt like a drop of water compared to this vast ocean he was staring at. He felt a sense of fear, but he didn’t panic. He didn’t step into the miasma immediately, but from the distance of over five hundred meters, he could feel the miasma trying to evade not just his body, but his spiritual senses as well.
“So powerful.” He sucked in a deep breath. His initial plan was just his physical body, but from the looks of things, this miasma isn’t normal and wouldn’t affect just his physical body. This was a crazy form of cultivation, and Grey could feel his body shake, but not from fear, rather, excitement.
