Affinity:Chaos - Chapter 1632: A Killing Tool II
Grey didn’t want to let go of such a weapon, even in the Gnome world, except for those Half God experts, he was sure this miasma will be able to threaten even those close to the Peak of the Sovereign Plane. The miasma he had in his body has gotten stronger, but it isn’t enough to kill those Late stage Sovereigns within a short period of time, whereas for this miasma, it would almost instantly take effect if pumped into the body of a Late stage Sovereign. This was a powerful killing tool, he didn’t want to let it go. Of course, if he didn’t have any other choices he would give up on the opportunity, but for now, he wanted to try to see if there’s a way he could store this powerful weapon for some time. He was racking his brain on how to store it when some slipped out of his body. Due to his breakthrough, his aura fluctuated and he lost control of the miasma, allowing a tiny bit to slip away from his body. The miasma that slipped away was far stronger than what had been exiting his body all this while, yet it had been able to deteriorate the condition of the cave to that extent, it’s unknown just how destructive this little miasma that slipped out would be. Grey sensed his friends outside and panicked. If any of them were touched by this, they might be in immediate danger. And given the fact that he was on the verge of breaking through to the Third stage of the Sovereign Plane, he couldn’t stop midway, if not, he would receive severe backlash. He was about to disregard his safety for that of his friends when he noticed something weird. A small flower close to the ice cube absorbed the entire thing. Leaving practically nothing left. ‘What?!’ Grey was shocked at the discovery. He didn’t think there would be such a flower in existence. The flower actually consumed the destructive miasma. Without hesitation, he stretched his hand out of the ice cube, and picked up the flower. He looked at it curiously, and this was the first time he was seeing a flower like this. He didn’t know of anything with such properties in the human world, so it might be unique to not just the Gnome world, but to the seven islands. ‘Haha, I’ve struck gold. If I can use it to store the miasma in my body as well as the miasma in that place, I can decimate the entire Capital City of the Gnome world within a day.’
Grey’s plan was simple, with this flower as a tool, he would store more of this dangerous miasma and unleashed a few in the Capital City of the Gnome world. With the experts gone, he could basically wipe out the entire Gnome Capital City with just it. Without hesitation, he started channeling the miasma into the flower. In the space of a few seconds, more than half of the miasma in his body had been sucked in by the flower. The flower gave off a radiant glow at this point and grew a few inches bigger. Grey was astounded by the flower’s capabilities and pumped the rest of the miasma into the flower. But just when he was on the verge of pumping everything into the flower, he noticed a thin crack appear on the body of the flower. He paused and studied it. His excited mood died down when he saw this. Even this miraculous flower has a limit it seems. He wanted to store it in his storage ring, but when he thought about the possibility of it being able to damage everything in there, he decided against it. With his current abilities with the space element, he could at least open a space in his body that was a few inches big. That should be able to store the flower. The flower disappeared from his hands, and the little that was left from the miasma was refined by Grey. Since he could store miasma in his body, he decided to strengthen it with the aid of this miasma. Grey focused on his breakthrough, and also refining the miasma. ….
Outside the cave.
“How long does he need to break through?” Klaus asked, hoping Grey would hurry up his breakthrough. Grey was the one who told them they needed to leave soon, yet he had delayed them here for almost two weeks. When they felt his aura fluctuations, they felt he would break through within a few hours, but it has been over a day. Alice didn’t respond, she looked on worriedly as well. Usually, a normal breakthrough to the Third stage of the Sovereign Plane shouldn’t take this long.
“Could he be in trouble?” Reynolds asked the question the others had in their heads. They all exchanged worried looks, and Klaus stood up.
“There’s no way to know if we don’t check it out.” He walked in the direction of the cave.
“Are you forgetting how dangerous the miasma is?” Alice asked.
“What if this is the only chance we have to save him?” Klaus asked. His question jolted the others and the duo walked to his side. The trio nodded to each other and walked into the cave. If Klaus went alone, he would find it hard for him to destroy the miasma on his own if he was attacked by it. But with the other two by his side, they had a high chance of destroying it. Klaus was about to make a move when the ice cube cracked. The crack from the ice sent a chilling cold down the spines of Alice and Reynolds, with Klaus being the only one comfortable with the temperature. He has cultivated in a place colder than this, so it was nothing new for him. Well, it wasn’t like he wanted to do it, but rather he was forced to do it by his Faction Leader. The cracks on the ice continued to spread, and before long, the ice shattered, leaving only a white mist. A figure could be seen standing in the mist. Klaus instinctively stretched his left hand and closed the eyes of Alice.
“You really are a dumbass.” Klaus commented when he saw Grey’s current state. Grey was standing stark naked right in front of them. It wouldn’t have been anything serious if they were there alone, but Alice, a lady, was present.
“Oh shit! My bad.” Grey didn’t realize that his clothes had been completely destroyed, and even his defensive magical weapon which acted as a form of clothing was seriously damaged and was currently within his body. The item could merge with his body, so he could bring it out at will. Since it was seriously damaged, it automatically went within his body to gradually fix itself. It had been a while, so Grey could feel that he could at least use it for clothings, even though its defensive properties wouldn’t work well, he didn’t think he needed it for now. A fancy black coat which had the insignia of a cat on its left shoulder appeared on his body, and a grayish black shirt and trousers as well as a pair of boots appeared on his feet. His short hair had grown a bit longer than it usually is, and it was seemingly well combed back, with a slight parting on the right side. Klaus’s eyes twitched when he saw this.
“Didn’t your face get burnt at least?” He asked, and felt a powerful punch on his back that sent him flying in Grey’s direction. Grey sidestepped, not trying to help Klaus in any way or form. Klaus on the other hand, would never allow something like that to happen, being a seasoned fighter, he quickly stretched out his hand and tried to grab Grey. If he was going to slam into the wall, he needed company. Grey didn’t expect Klaus to do something like this, but he was still prepared nonetheless. Knowing how cunning Klaus is, even though he didn’t expect it, it didn’t mean he didn’t plan for it in case it happened. Klaus’s hand passed through Grey’s figure, and with no way to grab anyone, he slammed into the wall, alone. Grey smirked, he turned around, only to receive a punch of his own that sent him flying. He crashed into the wall, right beside Klaus. Reynolds wanted to burst out laughing so badly, but seeing the figure that dealt out the powerful punches, he kept a serious expression. Alice couldn’t help but shake her right fist after punching Grey. Grey’s body was too strong. If not for her personal strength, she was almost certain that her wrist would’ve been broken.
“Are you trying to break my wrist?” Alice asked in an unreasonable manner. Grey could barely understand what was happening. He just broke through, why was he being beaten, what did he do?
“You’re the one who…”
He was about to speak when he saw Alice’s eyes, “It was an accident, I didn’t know I’ve gotten this strong.”
“Are you saying I’m weak?” Alice raised a brow. Grey felt like his world was falling apart. Klaus and Reynolds on the other hand were gloating at Grey’s misfortune. Klaus knew the reason Alice punched her, but he didn’t understand why she punched Grey.
