Affinity:Chaos - Chapter 1642: Make It Uninhabitable
Grey didn’t panic, he opened his mouth and asked softly, “How are you feeling, Your Highness?”
The First Prince was taken aback by Grey’s question, he looked at him warily and asked, “Is this your doing, human?”
“I dare not, Your Highness.” Grey bowed hurriedly, “I only noticed your unease and asked to see if there’s anything I can do to help His Highness.” The First Prince grunted and waved his hand, “Speak and leave.”
Grey nodded and started to tell the First Prince about the mission he took on for the Second Prince. When the First Prince heard about the qualities of the treasure, his eyes lit up.
“Where’s it?” The First Prince inquired before requesting, “Hand it to me.”
“I passed it to the Second Prince immediately after I returned.” Grey replied, still bowing his head. The First Prince wanted to stand up and noticed something wrong. Just as he was about to move, Grey’s figure appeared before him and looked into his eyes. Grey’s pupils shone with a blue light, and the First Prince paused for a moment and one could see chilly air coming from the First Prince as if he was about to freeze into a block of ice, but it was only temporary as he was able to force it out almost instantly. Unfortunately, that was enough time for Grey to completely shatter his core. Mental attacks is something Grey doesn’t use too often due to the opportunity not presenting itself, but whenever he gets a chance to use it, he doesn’t hesitate. Grey couldn’t help but look at the worried face of the First Prince, “Don’t worry Your Highness, you won’t feel anything.” The neck of the First Prince was crushed by Grey as he left him in a sitting position. No one knows he came to visit the First Prince with the exception of the Necromancer who was under his control. A smile appeared on Grey’s face as he walked away from the place. He exited the Palace, but that was only after he placed four people under his control, he dressed them like himself and his friends. Not just that, but he passed the flower to the Second Prince. He wanted to use the Second Prince to allow this thing to explode and cover the entire Palace. Not just that, but that was the way he wanted to use that method to get rid of suspicion that would be on them if they just disappeared just before the explosion. Grey soon left the Capital completely, heading straight for the City where the portal they used in entering the Gnome World was located. They needed to head back to the Human World. He was forced to stop midway as he softly grabbed his head. The number of people under his control simultaneously was too much for him to handle, and it was making his head ache. Even with the great increase of his mental energy during his time in the Gnome World, it still wasn’t enough to have so many people at once. The only way he was even able to take control of those four people was due to him discarding the body of the Necromancer from the First Prince’s camp. Both bodies will be destroyed in the explosion anyway before anybody finds them, so he was not worried about that. Thinking about it, he was hundreds of kilometers away from the Capital City, so there was no harm in destroying the Capital now. ….
Capital City. The Second Prince suddenly walked out of his room and headed to a place where an array was set. Grey managed to find a spot in the array that could enhance the impact of an attack, so he wanted to use it to ensure the miasma was enough. Before the array could be controlled from somewhere else, the explosion would’ve already spread across the Palace and into the Capital City. After getting there, the Second Prince, under the control of Grey, dropped the flower in the point of the array that could help it and with a hand seal…
Boom! The entirety of the Capital City was rocked by the explosion that came from the Palace. Inside the Palace, a few people saw the Second Prince when he dropped the flower, before they could react, they were caught in the explosion. The entire Palace was alarmed and everyone ran out, seeing the explosion rushing in their direction, they all turned around the escape. The explosion isn’t the deadliest thing about the attack, the true killer was the miasma, and now with the aid of the array, the strength of the miasma would significantly increase. The four dressed as Grey and his friends rushed into the place to save the Seventh Prince. Everyone saw the Seventh Prince being caught in the explosion due to his low cultivation stage, but the group came right in time and entered the explosion, tossing the Seventh Prince away from the explosion, while being the ones caught in it. A few people saw this, but at the moment they were more concerned about leaving the range of the explosion. Almost half of the Palace was destroyed before the top experts from the Royal Family stepped out. When they arrived, they forced the impact of the explosion down, minimizing the damage done to the Palace. Unknown to them, their focus on the explosion gave the miasma the chance it needed to spread across the Palace and Capital City. Grey wanted to destroy the entire Capital City and make it uninhabitable. The three Elders from the Royal Family exchanged glances, just as they were about to speak, their expressions changed. Their cultivation level was relatively high, so it would be hard for something to escape them, but with the aid of the explosion, they missed the fact that a miasma was spreading across the Palace at a faster rate.
“Evacuate the city.”
There was no way they could stop this thing at the moment. Poison miasma is one of the hardest things to deal with, and since the Gnome World has larger darkness elemental particles, they are stronger here.
