The next day, Akari was at Yui’s house. Yui had invited her because she was afraid of being seen outside. From Yui’s point of view, she didn’t want Akari to know her address. It was because she was a scumbag who seemed to like to gossip about the entertainment industry. But she also felt that it would be dangerous to have a meeting outside with this woman. The only reason she invited her to her house was because she had no choice but to do so.
“It looks like a girl’s room.”
Yui’s room looked much cuter than what Akari had imagined. There were stuffed animals, and the bed sheets were patterned in white and pink. She had expected it to be a more sophisticated and mature place.
“That’s because I am a girl. Akari is the same age as Yoshikawa, right? That means I’m one year older than you. So it’s normal for me to be in a room like this.”
Yui had Akari sit at the dining table. She sits across from her, and says, “And now,”
“Shall we discuss how to get revenge?”
“Yes.”
“Well, let me hear the plan that Akari came up with beforehand. I’ll decide whether I can implement it or not.”
“I understand.”
Akari took out a piece of paper from her pocket. The paper was folded, and when she opened it, it contained a proposal for revenge.
She’s come up with a lot more than I expected, Yui thought.
“How about revealing their addresses? If it’s Yui, she can find out where they live, right? Then we can post it on the Internet.”
“There’s no point. They’ll just move out and be done with it. Celebrities are used to that kind of thing. But in their case, they don’t even need to move out. They’re living in a very secure place so they don’t have to worry about being found out.”
“So we can’t reveal the address.”
“If you’re going to use the internet, wouldn’t a fake post work better?”
“I tried that. It didn’t work.”
“Isn’t that because you’re not a person from the industry?”
Akari felt annoyed.
“Then can you come up with a story and I’ll post it on the board?”
“Of course. Now then-”
Because she has been in the industry for a long time, Yui came up with a story quickly and full of realism.
“Is it okay to post it now?”
“Please do.”
Without hesitation, Akari pressed the publish button. The first time she had written bad things about Yukiho, she had agonized for an hour before pressing this button. Her heart was racing and she was anxious and insecure. The next post took another half hour. Now it’s no time at all.
“I got a reply.”
“The Internet sure is fast.”
Yui didn’t know much about the Internet. Operating a PC is out of the question, but she didn’t know anything about smartphones either. The only thing she could do on her phone was to go on LINE or watch videos. She left the social networking to her manager.
“Here’s the reply.”
The reactions that Akari had on the posts are shown.
They were all cold.
She was painfully aware of the absolute popularity of Daikichi and Yukiho.
“It really doesn’t work…..”
“How about reporting it to a weekly magazine?”
It was Akari who said this.
Yui tilted her head, “A weekly magazine?”
“Yui-san, you know a lot about the industry, don’t you? AND you were in the same agency as those two. If that’s the case, you must have some kind of story, right?”
Akari excitedly explained.
It’s a good idea, she thought to herself.
But Yui snickered and said, “Hmm.”
“If I could do that, I wouldn’t have any trouble.”
“So there’s nothing there?”
“Takamine’s level of professionalism is quite high. She’s more thorough than most people think. She doesn’t have a single story to give to a weekly magazine.”
“Then Daikichi…”
“Yoshikawa Daikichi is also impossible. That man is not a part of the industry in the first place. I’ve never heard of him having any friends in the business, and as you know, he has no interest in women other than Takamine-san. Therefore, he is never ragged about his relationships with women. I don’t know if he’s highly professional or not, but I’m sure he’s seamless.”
“So you don’t have a backstory”
“What’s a backstory?”
“I’m talking about personal accounts on social networking sites like Twitter. Celebrities use official accounts with their managers and such to send out information, but there are also personal accounts posing as ordinary people, you know?”
Yui understood, “Ah.” It’s true, she had heard of such stories.
“That’s impossible, too. Those two guys… or rather our agency, is very strict about social networking. If you want to use a social networking site, you have to use an official account prepared by the agency. And even then, they have to get permission from their manager before they can post anything. So, I can assure you that there is no such thing as a backdoor account, because they would never violate their contract.”
“Then this is all that’s left, isn’t it?”
Akari pointed to the bottom item. There it said, “Using a bad man to abduct you.”
“You’ve been watching too many dramas.”
Yui put her hand over her mouth and laughed.
Then she said with a straight face.
“To be honest, I could if I wanted to, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.”
“Why is that?”
“You seem to like gossip, and I’m sure you’ve heard of it, but the entertainment industry has a certain amount of connections with the underworld.”
“The yakuza?”
“Well, something like that. Of course, we don’t deal with them directly. However, we operate in an industry where someone can contact these organizations as a connection in case something happens. I guess you could say it’s a win-win situation. That’s why I don’t recommend it. You never know what they’ll do to you if they find out that you’ve asked to be kidnapped.”
“What’s the worst thing you’ve ever been harassed by, Yui-san?”
“Hmm, a used contraceptive hanging on the doorknob of my house.”
“Wow… But that’s a good one. Let’s do that!”
Yui was taken aback.
“I heard that their apartment is very secure. There are so many cameras, it’s impossible to play a prank without getting caught. They’ll know for sure.”
“It doesn’t matter. I don’t care if they know.”
“Eh?”
“I had my life destroyed by Yukiho, and Yui-san had her life destroyed by Daikichi. And yet, those two who destroyed our lives are living happily together. Isn’t this so frustrating? We’ve both fallen to the bottom, and there’s no way we can get back up from here. Then let’s pull their legs! The two of us! If we die, we’ll take them with us!”
Akari got heated up. She was getting into the mood while talking about all this. She even thought it was a little fun.
“Indeed… you’re right…”
Akari’s words resonated with Yui.
“My entertainment career is over. I can’t go back. This life is as good as gone. Like Akari said, it’s impossible to get back. If that’s the case, I have no regrets.”
“Yeah, that’s right! Let’s harass them together!”
“Okay, but-”
Yui smirked.
“-If we’re going to get arrested, let’s do it in a more spectacular way.”
