Ain’t Your Regular Girlfriend - Volume 1 Chapter 57 58 Blurred
” I’m not”. I said softly. And watch as Micheal closed the book and walked from where he was sitting to a small calendar on the wall in his office.
“Why?”. He asked, his tone not raised, it was so soft or maybe my mind has suddenly become blurred. Michael turned and walked back to us. ” Ms. Wayne? You may go now but make sure to get your name signed in the list of all the candidates who are interested in the event.”. Clara nodded and stand quietly, she smiled at me and walked back to class.
“No reason”. I sigh, looking at my nails, suddenly noticing how weird the purple polish looked on them… The thought of switching to another nail polish suddenly flew in.
“C-mon Lara, there must be a reason?… Everybody’s got a reason or two reasons they don’t want to do something “. This is probably the first time he has addressed me by my name instead of plain Lara or ms. Cila which I love how it falls through his lips making my name sweet to the ears. “Lara? Ah!”. I groan to myself, irritated at my own thoughts.
“I don’t have any!”. I snap and bite my lower lip. “It’s not as if you care”. I said softly
“I care for every student and It is my duty, as a teacher, to make sure that every member of my class participates in all the school activities especially this important one”. He said and walked back to the Frame on the wall which I took a closer view and figured it wasn’t a calendar but somehow school curriculum.
” Pfft… You care for everyone. I reckon you’re just doing your job”. I said to myself. “but actually about camping? Hah, not my thing”.
Micheal paced the room. He obviously wanted to make me certain of the understandable reasons why this camping was so important. ” 1995″. He began softly. “It… was the year an activity like this was last held in this community, it is kinda mysterious that the last group and others never found the lost item till date, making it not just any camping challenges… but more like a hunting adventure…well, Lara if you’re still clueless of the activity. I could be your tour guide before the d-day. ”
