Ain’t Your Regular Girlfriend - Volume 1 Chapter 61 62 No Boys Yet?
Fell asleep on the floor inside my closet, after trying to rearrange the mess I created when I was looking for that damned book.
I heard a Knock on the door but I stayed assuming it was from my dream. “Baby, you alright?”. I heard Dad’s voice as he quietly pushed the door open. He asked, standing by the door. “May I come in?”.
I quickly jumped at the sound of my dad’s voice, his last travel took more time than others and I’ve missed him. I nodded sleepily and snuggled to the clothes on the floor. “Dad didn’t know you were home”.
Dad walked in quietly, he lifted me from the floor and helped me to the bed. “You shouldn’t be sleeping on the floor, you could catch a cold”. He smiled at me. “I Just got back, noticed you haven’t touched your meal yet. what happened? Are you sick?.”. He asked touching my head.
“Na, I’m just tired”. I said touching my eyes sleepily.
“Figured. is that why your room is so messy? Darling, you should have asked Magritte to help arrange it if you were so tired to do so”. Dad said and pulled me closer, I lay my head on his chest. “So baby, how is school these days, anyone picking on you? Tell me, so I’d pay them a surprise visit tomorrow”. He said softly.
“Hey!, I can fight my battles”. I looked up at him. “I can,” I said and could clearly see the glimpse of doubt in his eyes.
“No doubts hon, just saying.” He chuckled. “You know I’m always here for you not like… You know, and you can always confide in me any time you need me and I will be there immediately.”.
“I know dad”. I smiled softly and lay my head back on his chest.
“So any boys yet? It’s been long since you last introduced them to me and it has also been long since we last talked about this .”.
“Oh”. No boys yet but uhm dad? “.
” Yes?”. I climbed off him and started packing my clothes pushing them inside the closet without neatly folding them or hanging them and quietly closed the door.
“There’s this camping stuff in school, and I don’t know if I wanted to go. You know, I’m not used to this kinda stuff. “.
