Ain’t Your Regular Girlfriend - Volume 1 Chapter 76 75 Clara's Fantasy
Minutes later___
I find Clara in the library studying, she never stops doing that which is cool. She was happier to see me than I was to see her.
“Hey!” she jumped and hugged me.
“Oooh, did I miss something?”. I squealed, keeping my voice down as much as I can so I would not distract people as the bold notice sign on the wall was visible enough for even the blind to see.
“Not really,… I’m sorry I wasn’t around when you needed me”. She said softly, a worried frown marred on her forehead.
“Hey!”. I poked her. “We should be glad it has been sorted out”. I smiled. “Uhmm, by the way, how was Amy?. I asked and was surprised as she shrugged. Amy was the reason why she went home before dismissal yesterday… To pick her up from the airport, I think.
“What happened? “. I asked in a low voice. When I received an angry glare from a student.
“Well, there’s no Amy. It was just a made-up story to get me out of school, could you believe my mom would go to that extent, just to get me home because she feared I was sick!”. She blinked twice then closed her eyes with her lips twitched. “I was soo mad! How could she?! She knew how much I missed her!”. She said softly as I pulled her to me.
“She’s your mom after all”. I said in a soothing voice. ” I wish mine would pester me that way”. I sigh, trying not to be optimistic about the whole mom stuff. “Too bad, I don’t have a mom”.
She raised her head, looking up at me. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought her up”.
“Ha, who? She’s a bitch”.
After some silence. “I’m glad I am here now.”. She wrinkled her nose impishly.
I couldn’t hold myself anymore as I burst out laughing at her reaction and ended up finally gotten my last warning.
Amy, I believe was Clara’s, big sis. According to her, they were separated since childhood. (The term separated … In the kind of ‘boarding school ‘) so Amy has been in boarding school her whole life the last time she visited was when she got accepted into college.
“Lara? It’s not funny!”.
“I know, I know,” I said quietly and bite my lips to hold me from laughing again. ” Guess who I saw at the Caf?”. I grin.
She suddenly looked up, tapping her pen on her lips as she wracked her brain “A friend from before?”.
“Uhm… kinda but guess the name!”.
“D.i.c.kson?”.
“Who is D.i.c.kson?”. I asked.
“I don’t know! I just guessed a name with a d.i.c.k… Haha, you know how bad I am at guessing… Just tell me before I wreck my brain! “.
I rolled my eyes as if to tell or to leave her in wonder. ” Caleb”. I said softly.
“Caleb!?” she exclaimed ” Was he handsome?, In his sports pants, lovely as he dangles each time he walks. ooo, I couldn’t imagine sports pants… He must have been s.e.xy right? Shinning as he spills every word or as he sips his coffee making ‘a sip’ be hot, s.e.xy, and alluring… Lara, I think he’s a s.e.x God, don’t you think? So gorgeously made”. I was speechless as I watched my dear friend drool and fantasize over someone in that manner. I’ve never seen her that way before!.
“Tell me!”. She gushed when she was finally out of her fantasy state.
“Well, he was indeed handsome too bad he wasn’t in sport pants.”. I said and watched as a frown quickly marred her smiling face. “So have you seen Steve?” I asked changing the subject. Literally leaving out the friendly chat between Caleb and I or his little show… I wouldn’t want to ruin the moment.
“Huh?… Oh, I heard christy tell Mike that he left school early. Lara, you should go to him. When I saw him this afternoon, he was miserable… he didn’t even notice me when I said hi.”
I exhaled softly and picked my bag. “I think you’re right”. I smiled and kissed her on the forehead before walking out.
“Call me if you need me”.
“I will”.
