Alexander The Great Mage - Chapter 156
Unlike Alexander whose power was a pure attack type, the Devilkin’s power was a summoning type.
Figure after figure rapidly coalesced into being. Timo, Haro, Rufus, Jules, Lord Garas, Lord Jaras, their dragons and many others the Devilkin had managed to devour all appeared at that moment.
“GRAAAAAAAAAAA!!” As one, the Devilkin and his summons unleashed their power!
Blink! Blink! Blink!
Timo, Haro and Lord Jaras suddenly appeared next to Alexander and released their most powerful spells at point blank range!
BOOOOOOMMM!!!
At the same time, Lord Garas summoned a terrifying meteor storm that had all of its meteors streaking towards Alexander!
Lightning, ice, undead, and even darkness energy attacks poured out from every direction and caused the very space itself to destabilize and crackle as the attacks passed.
“You think this level of power is enough to threaten me and my kingdom? THINK AGAIN!” Alexander roared as he released his power once more.
Like a massive bomb exploding under a waterfall’s heavy and suffocating pressure, Alexander’s eruption of power rendered every single attack levelled against him useless and blew them away easily. In fact, Timo, Haro and Lord Jaras did not even have time to cry out before they were disintegrated by Alexander’s all out attack.
“Theee saaamee attackkkk… Wulddd not workkk againstttt mee twaisssssss…” The Devilkin hissed eerily.
His body faded away and allowed Alexander’s attack to pass through him.
Most of it anyway.
A portion of Alexander’s attack was so powerful that it transcended realms and managed to damage the Devilkin even though he had slipped into the Realm of Darkness for an instant!
“GRAAAAHHH!!!” The Devilkin howled in pain. It did not expect to be hit even after he had faded away!
“Ha! All talk but no bite. Are you part of the Realm of Darkness entertainment industry? Do you think we are in a play right now where the villain makes grand proclamations but still dies in the end?!” Alexander scoffed.
“PFFFFTT!” Flamewing could not help but laugh in Alexander’s mind. “When did you become so eloquent in riling up the enemy?”
“You mean bashing him up verbally like this? It’s easy. I just think of how you talk to me all these while and I suddenly get so much inspiration!” Alexander replied with a laugh even though he was still unleashing his attacks.
“YOU!” Flamewing sputtered.
“Hahaha. You two are really funny.” Aleyria laughed. “If that Devilkin is playing the villain in a play, you two are definitely the comedic relief of the play!”
“Hey! I am not a comedy relief!” Alexander protested. “I definitely am the main character!”
“Definitely not. The main character is always the strongest. Aleyria is probably the main character. You’re probably just a sidekick.” Flamewing sulked.
“If I am a sidekick, then what are you? A sidekick’s sidekick?” Alexander asked innocently.
“I am the reason that the sidekick is a sidekick! Without me the sidekick will probably just make a short one minute appearance before bowing out! I would have you remember how weak you were when you first started” Flamewing retorted.
“Enough enough. Alexander is in a fight. We should not distract him.” Aleyria said sternly to them both.
“I am fine actually. This Devilkin is extremely strong, but it is a summoner type. It is extremely weak against my attacks and has no way of avoiding it. I should be done very soon.” Alexander said, right before a powerful wave of darkness surged and overwhelmed his attacks.
“HAAA!” Alexander shouted and released every bit of energy he had left to counter the sudden strength surge in the Devilkin’s attack.
“See? Comedic relief.” Aleyria said with a laugh.
BOOM!
Alexander’s attack was extinguished and he was left fully on the defensive.
“Errr… A little bit of help, maybe?” Alexander suggested. “This Scion King is much more powerful than I expected. It must be in possession of many ancient artifacts capable of increasing his power exponentially during battle.
“Hmmmm. Didn’t Magius say he wanted some artifacts from the Scions of Perses and Zegaro? We should take his items and give them to Magius. He might find them useful.” Aleyria suggested.
“Great idea Aleyria!” Alexander replied warmly. “Come and help me take this Devilkin down!”
Aleyria stretched out her hand and suddenly, a myriad of items appeared before her.
“GRAAAAHHH!!!” The Devilkin roared in surprise and anger. His power plummeted as he lost his source of additional energy.
“Well done Aleyria!” Alexander shouted as he broke out of the Devilkin’s much weakened darkness wave. He blinked next to the Devilkin and slashed down powerfully with his Crystal Sword.
DING!
The Devilkin parried with his arm.
However, although the Crystal Sword was physically parried, the vast energies contained within broke past the Devilkin’s energy defences and sunk rapidly into its body.
“GREAAAA!” It howled in pain.
Alexander punched out with his left hand and injected yet another huge amount of energy which rampaged through the Devilkin’s body!
“I… I will return for you and your beloved…” The Devilkin rasped.
“No you won’t. You will die here today.” Alexander replied grimly.
“You… do not have the power to prevent my escape…” The Devilkin gave a ferocious smile and crushed a black looking pearl that suddenly appeared in his hand.
A black cloud of unimaginably powerful energy burst forth from the pearl and encased the Devilkin, making him fully impervious to attacks. Even Alexander’s energy within its body disappeared without a trace.
“Goddess Hisa’s power is not something the likes of you and your pathetic friends can ever hope to match.” The Devilkin spoke fluently. “Enjoy your last days… When I return… It will be with an army far stronger than your realm can ever imagine… Hahahaha!”
RIPPPP!!!
A powerful attack ripped the black cloud apart and plunged into the Devilkin’s body.
“What is this?! NO!!” The Devilkin gasped in pain.
“The armies of the Realm of Darkness might come. But you won’t be with them.” Aleyria said softly as she appeared next to Alexander. “You’re staying here and you will be telling me exactly how strong those armies are.”
“You… You’re a God?!” The Devilkin gasped as he slowly lost all his power.
“No, I am not a God.” Aleyria replied and pointed at Alexander. “I am his woman.”
“Whaaa…” The Devilkin fainted.
The pain and the thought that a mere wife of a powerful fighter could be that strong fried his already injured mind.
