All It Takes Is One Night - 65 Chapter 65
“Mine, they took our happiness. Everything is hopeless.” She lay on the floor murmuring to herself and crying hot tears that burned through her face straight to her dying heart. The image she saw might have just broken her.
While downstairs, James and Katie sat for a light breakfast with everyone.
“Where’s Catherine, isn’t she joining us?” Katie asked curiously.
“Young ms said that she had work to do and would join you all later.” Housekeeper Yen replied politely not at all revealing the truth.
They all continued to eat breakfast and fill themselves up,
“So what’s on our agenda for today, some shopping or hiking?” Jeremy asked with food in his mouth.
“Could you be any more disgusting?” Cindy shot him a disdainful look.
“Ahh” Jeremy turned towards her and fully opened his mouth looking like a completely barbarian.
“Huh, you’re disgusting. Are you sure you’re a young master?” Katie asked shocked at his shamelessness.
“No, I think he’s more like a fully grown pig.” James said his voice dripping arrogance and disdain.
“Well I think he’s kind of cute” Anna subconsciously said. When she realized what she had said she looked up and met everyone’s gaze, her face turned completely red she didn’t mean to say it out loud.
Not wanting to give her a hard time they all laughed over it and continued with their meal.
“But seriously guys, what are we doing today?” Katie asked.
“Well since our host abandoned us, we could go to the little town down the hill and see what they have” Jeremy suggested this time with a clear mouth.
“Miss said to inform that you all could spend a day at her farm with her horses” housekeeper Yen reported.
“She has a farm? But we didn’t see it yesterday.” James asked
“Young miss farm is ten minutes away on flat field.” Housekeeper Yen politely answered.
“Then it’s settled, let’s go to the farm” Anna excitedly jumped up.
“Ok. We’ll go soon sit down first and finish you breakfast.” Jeremy gently pulled her down. And obviously everyone saw that little interaction but didn’t say anything.
Soon after, they all finished eating breakfast, and then they moved back to their rooms to dress appropriately for a farm visit.
“How do I look baby, do I look like a little farm belle?” Katie asked James. She wore baggy jeans that stopped at her ankles and looked rather washed out; a white tank top, pure white high trainers and her hair slightly curled flowing down her back.
“You look lovely, but at least take a rain coat” James replied his eyes full of love for his girl. He too was wearing similar clothes as her but instead of a white tank top he wore a black for fitting T-shirt and black trainers.
“You look equally handsome darling” then they both took their lumberjack rain jackets and left their rooms to join the others.
Everyone had already dressed up and was waiting downstairs to, everyone except Samuel who said he would join then later.
Cindy had on overalls over a pink crop top and boots, Anna wore a simple floral dress and ankle boot while Bibi wore jeans short, an orange shirt and wedged sandals. The guys looked dashing with Jeremy wearing shorts and a plain tee looking very casual, Kyle wearing jeans, a grey T-shirt and a lumberjack shirt and Danny wearing pastel Capri shorts and expensive Italian leather loafers, his outfits shocked everyone, who would wear expensive clothes to a farm with animals, was he crazy.
They moved outside and each picked a mountain bike and rode down to the farm. Thankfully they were all pretty good riders because the road down was very bumpy and uneven.
When they reached the farm, they were welcomed by a family of four who lived on the farm and maintained it for Catherine.
“Welcome, you must be the friends of Catherine.” The father said with a thick rural accent. “My family and I will show you around and you can choose to do whatever you want. This is my wife and these are my three children.”
After the general introduction, they set out to look around.
First was the animals, there were cows, bulls, pigs, chicken, turkey, goats, sheep and there were numerous ponds with different types of fishes. They feed the animals and all seemed to be having fun except Bibi who seemed to have been in the bathroom for ages and Danny who left to answer a long call. But no one even noticed not even Kyle he was too busy monitoring Katie and waiting for her to be alone so he could get a chance alone with her.
