Almighty Summoner System - Chapter 263
The previous elegant Ciera was nowhere to be found. What replaced it was the current savage eating beast, gobbling the Mild Tempered Crocodile’s roasted meat left and right.
Even the Yak was surprised by the current attitude of its Young Miss.
The Yak moved aside and watched its Young Miss gobble the meat madly. It was probably thinking what has gotten into its Young Miss all of a sudden for her to act like that.
The Yak moved its head towards Yakob’s location, garnering the attention of the latter.
When Yakob turned his head to look at the current scenario, even someone as experienced as him was taken aback by the current scene.
‘Something’s wrong.’ He thought as he dashed towards Ciera with great speed.
“What did you do?” He asked with a grave tone while looking at Ban.
His Summoned Monster has already reported that Ciera did nothing other than talking to Ban and eating the meat he offered.
He knew his Young Miss very well, she would not act like this, especially in the presence of a stranger.
Yakob moved towards Ciera and pulled her body away from the meat. Her body was yanked away from the meat like a kid.
However, despite that, Ciera was still trying her best to reach her hands towards the meat, it was as if she was possessed by something and the meat was the only thing that matters to it.
“What did you do to her?” Seeing her acting like that, Yakob flared up and yelled at Ban with fury.
Yakob was already starting to panic. The Young Miss was very important, he already treated her as if she was his own granddaughter.
There’s no one around aside from Ban and his summoned Monster. The Yak could have not done something to the Young Miss, so it was only natural that the next target for the blame would be the young boy, Ban, who they just met earlier.
At this point, Yakob no longer cared about whether Ban was truly a genius from a prestigious family or not. He no longer even cared if he got some companions around- which the Yak already confirmed earlier, all it matters was that he got to the bottom of this at this very instant.
“Tell me what you did, or else don’t blame me for acting nasty!” Yakob’s face already turned dark at this point. Rage was apparent to his face at this moment.
Ciera was definitely acting strangely, even Ban had already realized this at this point.
Seeing, Yakob’s obvious enmity, he dared not stay close to them and decided to retreat a few meters back.
Yakob’s Monster was also glaring at him with menacing eyes at the moment.
Ban also realized that he was in a bad spot. If Ciera acted strangely all of a sudden, then there was no other culprit other than him, Eva and the Monster Yak as it was only them who was in the close proximity of Ciera when everything happened.
His heart started to beat in nervousness as he knew for sure that he would not be able to contend with Yakob’s strength. He even guessed that if not for Yakob suspecting that he has companions hiding behind the shadows, Yakob might have already attacked him at this point.
Before things got out of hand, Ban immediately raised his hand up in the air and said, “I did not do anything.”
He smiled wryly as he did not expect things to become like this all of a sudden. It was only a moment ago that Yakob was truly respectful to him. Now, everything was clear. It looks like he only acted that way not because he was a respectful person, no, he only acted that way towards him due to his suspicions that Ban had some ally hiding in the shadows.
“Liar! Who else could it be if not you? Don’t tell me it was my Summon who did something to my Young Miss?” Yakob glared at him and said, whilst his hand was still holding Ciera in place, preventing her from reaching the meat, that Yakob believed to be the root of the current issue.
Yakob suddenly pulled out a dagger and pointed it at Ban. He also looked at his Monster for a brief moment, seemingly giving it an instruction on that instant.
The Yak nodded its head while its eye was still fixed on Ban. The upper mouth of the Yak was lifted as it growled towards Ban threateningly, showing its yellowish teeth.
As per Yakob’s instruction, the Monster slowly moved towards a particular direction, unexpectedly, it was moving away from Ban.
However, Ban did not dare to lower his guard at this time, he knew that the monster was moving away because it was tasked to hold Ban’s companions, while probably, Yakob would try to capture him.
Ban’s guard was up, any moment from now and he knew that Yakob would already attack. He was already on the precipice of turning around and run away, but he knew that it would only worsen the situation.
If he ran, it would just affirm Yakob’s suspicion that he was truly the suspect, and it would make him attack him that instant.
Ban was also not arrogant enough to try his luck outrunning the D-Rank Summoner, even with his rappid boots, he was not confident of running away safely.
“I truly did not do anything.” Ban tried his best to look as sincere as possible as he tried to reason again, but he knew that it was only for naught. At this point, he realized that Yakob would no longer believed him, no matter what he said.
The Yak continued moving, and just like what Ban had guessed, it was truly moving towards the direction of the tree where he hung the other part of the meat.
As this occurred, Yakob’s gaze never moved away from him. Ban knew that the moment the Yak arrived at its destination, it would also be the moment that Yakob would attack. It looks like he was already willing to risk it, even with the threat of Ban’s companions around them.
Ban realized this and his heart could not help beat profusely in nervousness.
‘No this won’t do, I need to think of something!’ He realized the graveness of the situation he was in.
‘System, help! Identify what’s wrong with Ciera, quick!’ He no longer wasted any time and immediately asked for the almighty system’s aid.
[Affirmative!]
The System’s voice ‘sounded’ inside his mind. The System was quick, and in an instant, it immediately delivered the cause of the event directly to his brain. Recalling the information that was uploaded to his brain, he rejoiced as he now knew the real cause of the current issue.
His eyes lit up all of a sudden and just as he was about to explain it to Yakob, he saw at the corner of his eyes that the Yak had already stopped moving. It has already reached the spot instructed by Yakob. It no longer looked at Ban and instead refocused its gaze away from him, looking at a certain spot.
“Oh no!” Ban grimaced as he saw Yakob putting Ciera aside, meanwhile, his foot was already stepping towards Ban’s location.
