Alpha’s Precious - Chapter 107

Inside the gift wrap there was an ancient old book which was looking very old as if it was some five hundred years old. The cover was completely wooden and slightly cracky also. There was a lock system in the book by which you can easily lock the book after reading it.

The letters which were written on the cover page were completely unknown to her and she couldn’t even able to make out a single word out of those letters. Then she opened the book and looked at the pages. The pages were quite thick as compared to the pages of today’s generation. Also the pages are slightly golden brown in colour and the boarder of them are slightly got torned as if a mouse has eaten the boarders. The size of the book was slightly larger than her palms and when she tried to read the letters of the page, once again she failed to do that. The book was also quite thick.

She couldn’t able to understand what is written on the pages but still she can assume that these must be are the spells which he always uses. Even though the book was looking too old and cracky but still also looking so captivating as if it’s some kind of rare treasure which must not be fall into the hands of the bad creatures.

“Lucas, is it some kind of spell book?” She asked still examining the book with her full interest.

“Yes, this book is called as ‘The Book of Magical Spells’. It’s written in one of the most ancient language of the world and now a days this language is going to extinct completely within some years. There are only few people left who can actually read, right and speak this language properly. It’s almost a thousand years of old book and who wrote this book is still unknown.” He said explaining her about the book.

She was just staring at him shockingly. She couldn’t actually believe that she is holding a magical spell book which is about thousand years of old!

“But how did you managed to get this for me?” She asked him curiously.

“I actually owns it Rose. My father is actually very fond of these type of ancient books and of course he collects and owns so many books like this in the library of his house. And there I came across with this book. And believe me when I saw this for the first time in my life my reaction was exactly as same as yours and even I couldn’t able to understand even a single letter of this book. Then after getting the permission from my father I took out this book and brought it with me to my villa.” He explained.

“Then how did you able to know the language now? And didn’t you tell me that the fairies were the ones who actually taught you how to use these spells. Isn’t it? Tell me everything Luc, it’s totally confusing me.” She urged him to say more.

“Actually there was also another book which was there in the library and was thankfully written in the normal language and there by reading I got to know about the fire fairies. And then I did whatever was written on the book and finally I got my chance to meet them. And then using my charm and skills I just managed to won their hearts. And then only I asked them about this Book of spells. Because I had already knew that they are the ones who knows the language written on it and also can teach me. And yeah… Just like that I managed to learn the language as well as magic.” He said shrugging slightly as if it’s a very normal thing for him. But it’s not at all normal thing for her to digest all these things.

But one thing she doesn’t know that he is not telling her the whole truth. And it’s only for the sake of her because he doesn’t wants to scare her by telling her the whole truth.

“How many days it took you to learn the language along with the spells Luc?” She asked.

“Few years, let’s say about two to three years. Because this is not that much easy to remember the language. And because it is a magical language that’s why the language itself decides who should learn it and who should not. If you managed to learn the language early then it has only one meaning and that is the language itself just wants that you should learn it. In this way the thing actually works.” He said and she listened to his every words very carefully.

“If it’s that much of rare and important then why are you giving this book to me Luc?” She asked because she was slightly feeling hesitated to take the book from him. Although it is the best gift she has ever got on her birthday but still she thinks that it’s someone else’s treasure and she shouldn’t just accept it recklessly.

“Why don’t you use your guessing power this time Rose? Why don’t you tell me yourself that why am I giving you the most important book to you?” He asked her back which rendered her speechless. He was now leaning slightly as a result his face was just an inch away from her which just made her blush automatically out of the nervousness. And of course she knows the answer of his question but is afraid to say that aloud.

“I… I can’t guess Luc…” She replied nervously while averting her gaze shyly away from him.

“Really?” He asked and she just unable to respond to him anything at that time because she got too captivated in his eyes that she felt like as if he is trying to say, ‘dare to tell him the lie’ because of which neither she said ‘Yes’ nor could say ‘No’.

“Fine I will punish you for this later but now let me answer to your question even if you know the answer.” He said smirking at him mischievously and she just gulped her saliva nervously thinking about the punishment he will give her later.

“You know Rose how much you just matter to me and you are the most important person in my life, even more than this rare book. That’s why I gifted you this because I know how badly and enthusiastically you want to learn the magic. I know nothing will make you happy other than this book, so I decided to gift it to you. Nothing matters to me except your smiling and happy face and I will always do anything and everything to keep on maintaining that beautiful smile on your face. So now you got the answer right my Rose?” He asked while her face has been turned completely red in embarrassment and her heartbeat was not beating at the normal pace at all. She could only able to node her head at him signalling him that she understood everything he just said to her some moments ago.

He then leaned even more closer towards her face and she just gladly welcomed his face and was ready to feel his lips on her while closing her eyes in advance but so many seconds passed and she felt nothing. When she opened her eyes once again she saw that he was still in the same position and flashing her the teasing look with his eyes.

“I must say your mind iss becoming so naughty day by day my Rose.” He teased her and once again she wished the ground to swallow her whole to escape from this shameful situation.

“Come, let’s lie down because the sun is about to set.” He said and she obliged to him and laid down with him to witness the most beautiful and memorable sunset of her life.

No one was saying anything and are just looking at the sky watching the sun to go down and hide behind the mountains. It was really a sight to behold for the eternity and watching the breathtaking sight with your most favourite person was the best feeling anyone can have in their life. She had never even thought to see this wonderful view with him laying beside her and holding her closely towards his body.

“Thank You, thank you so much Lucas for making my birthday so beautiful and so special! It’s gonna be my best birthday ever in my life. I will always cherish these moments for the eternity. And also thank you so much for the gift you had given me and also thank you so much that you thought that I am worthy enough to take care of the book with my whole heart.” She said getting slightly emotional while holding him more tightly in her embrace.

“I have already said Rose that anything for you. You are just too precious for me!” He said placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

“You are the best!” She commented while giggling at him happily.

“I know because I have choosen the best person ever in my life…” He replied smirking at her which just made her mouth completely shut!…
