She could clearly see that his expression is getting changed as the time passes and his jaw was clenched very hard. She couldn’t understand what happened to him so suddenly! Few seconds ago he was looking very impatient as if he couldn’t wait anymore to see her in the dress he had choosen for her but now why his mood seems off?

‘Am I not looking good enough today? Did I… did I not meet with his expectations? But sister Aurora and Alice both told me that I’m looking pretty enough then why is he looking like this?’ So many thoughts started to running inside her mind.

Finally she reached downstairs and everyone once again wished her. Everyone was looking so happy and cheerful but he was not. What’s the problem with him? He is not even approaching towards her!

Now it’s time for the cake cutting and she cut the cake and everyone started to sing the birthday song for her. Then she fed the cake to everyone and when it comes the time to fed him, her heartbeat started to increase on it’s own. She doesn’t know why she is feeling so nervous.

He was standing at the back side of everyone that’s why no one can able to see it clearly what’s happening in between them. She then brought her hand near towards his mouth but instead of eating the cake he did something unexpected that she had never imagined him to do with her in the situation like this.

He just took the whole piece of cake from her hand and started to lick her fingers which were covered with the cream. While he was busy in licking her fingers he fed her back the cake he was holding at that time. Her face has been completely flushed red in colour. She had no other choice but to eat the cake from his hand.

Even though she didn’t expected him to do this to her but still she was really enjoying the moment a lot. His tongue felt so good around her fingers that she suddenly started to feel hot all over her body. Her urge to touch him and get touched by her was so strong that she just wished to end this event so soon so that she can get to spend her alone time with him once again.

But this moment just lasted for few seconds after which he had to let her fingers free from his tongue forcefully. She then went back to her place to stand where her parents were standing. Then one by one they all started to give her their lovely gifts and she took them from their hands holding a beautiful smile on her face. While giving her the gifts everyone was saying her the same thing but in different different way that how beautiful she is looking actually.

After the gift giving ceremony it’s time for the dance ceremony where the couples will start to dance with eachother. The light turned off and everyone just came to the middle of the hall with their partners to dance.

Rose was standing alone in the darkness and suddenly she got grabbed by someone making her trip on her heels but thank god that the person handled her smoothly as a result nothing has happened with her. And she knew who is the person by the exquisite smell of his cologne. That is non other than Lucas himself. He then dragged her towards the dance floor. The dim but romantic light fall on every couple while a beautiful romantic music was playing at the background. The atmosphere was just too perfect for them to feel eachothers presence against their needy body.

“What has happened to you Lucas? You look so strange! You have not even said a single word to me from the moment I arrived here.” She asked him while they were keep swaying with the music.

“Nothing!” Saying this he cut off the conversation between them. The awkwardness and tension between them just grew more at the time and she couldn’t understand what to say or how to react in front of him.

But he was not looking at anywhere other the her eyes and just keep going like that without initiating the conversation between them.

Finally the dancing ceremony ended and after giving her all the blessings the guests just started to leave from there.

Now it’s just her family members and Lucas remained there. Aurora and Alice both wanted to stay for some more time but unfortunately they had to go with their husbands because of some urgent works.

Her mother went to Lucas and told him thank you for so many times because without his help nothing could have possible for them to arrange such a grand party. It was Lucas’s idea that, this time they should invite all the relatives and close friends to the party. He had remembered, once she had said that how much she missed her cousin sisters, uncles and aunties. It’s been a couple of years that she had last met with them. So Lucas just proposed this idea to her parents and they just got immediately agreed. He even choosen the dress for her personally, and her parents are so greatful to him for choosing such an elegant outfit for their daughter. Indeed she was looking like a real princess.

In the party so many business partners of her father and close friends of her mother just asked her hand for their grown up sons for their future but they both just ignored the topic saying that their daughter is not ready for all such things right now and they will choose the one whom their daughter will choose for herself. They are no one to force her in any type of relationship. They want her to take her own decisions only. But deep inside her parents has already thought Lucas as their future son in law but was not saying anything outside. They can she the love in his eyes which was only for their daughter and vice versa and they are just too happy about them. Who could be more perfect for their daughter other than Lucas Knight? No one!

That’s why they just denied their offers indirectly so that they won’t think anything wrong about them.

Lucas said that there is no need to say him thank you because he himself wanted to make her day special and that’s what he did but exact at the last moment his mood just got changed so suddenly. Rose was standing far away from them while observing his expression keenly trying to figure out that what happened to him so suddenly that he is not talking with her properly! No worry, she will ask him later once again she thought.

“I think I should go now Mr. and Mrs. Campbell. It’s not right for me to stay too long also.” Lucas said politely making her parents admire him even more than before. ‘Such a gentle man!’ Her mother thought.

She also smiled back at him and said, “I hope we have not troubled you that much son.”

“No Mrs. Campbell, please don’t mention about it. Okey have a good night.” He said to her and after that he also wished Mrs. Campbell and Rose the good night and went out of their house.

Rose didn’t expected him to just say her the good night like this. She had expected something more like a good night kiss but he just dryly wished her and left from there. ‘Didn’t he told me that he will give me more surprises? Then what happened now?” She thought and sighed sadly.

“Dear do you want to open the gifts now or tomorrow?” Her mother asked her because the gifts were just too much for her. It will take her the whole day to open all of them. If her mood wasn’t bad then she would have give it a second thought but she just decided to open them tomorrow. By the way the best gift of today she had already gotten from Lucas and she doesn’t need anything else. She also was got very tired and the heels she was wearing was not making her feel good now. She must change her clothes to her comfortable night dress as soon as possible. So she replied her tiredly, “No mom, I’m already so tired today. I badly need some rest. So I just leave it for tomorrow.”

“Fine my dear. You should go to your room now. We will all open them tomorrow.”Her mother said smiling at her warmly.

“Good night mum, good night dad, and good night my little brother. And once again thank you so much for making my day so special.” She said and everyone just wished her the same. After that she just headed towards her room.

She was just absentmindedly heading towards her room while her whole thought was got occupied by him only. What mistake she did today that he is treating her like this? He didn’t even complemented her about her look which he always does no matter what. Once again sighing helplessly she opened the door of her room and just got shocked to her core.

There he was sitting on her bed as if he is the king waiting for his only queen to be arrive there. His gaze was sharp, expression was very serious while his whole attention was on her only!…
