Alternate World Online - Chapter 104
Zephirah said with a smile, “Nice to meet you, Dro.”
Dro looked at her smile and thought, “She is really beautiful” He shook his head to both sides and asked, “What do I need to do to increase the weapon’s power?”
Zephirah sighed, “Unfortunately you are currently too weak to handle the sword once I power it up. If you want to strengthen your weapon, first reach . When you do this I will tell what needs to be done to strengthen the weapon you have received from me.”
Dro nodded his head and asked, “How do I return to you once I reach ? The gargoyle said that this place will be locked away for a hundred thousand years and that I won’t be given the chance to return back to this place even after the years have passed.”
Zephirah nodded her head and said, “Don’t worry since you have passed the five trials you can come and go using your also this place will no longer function as a trial ground. This place won’t open to anyone even after a hundred thousand years or ten billion years.”
Dro nodded, “I see. So I can return by using my ?”
Zephirah nodded her head, “That is correct. You are the only one that can come to this place. Do you have any more questions before you go?”
Dro shook his head, “There is nothing more I want to ask.”
Zephirah nodded her head, “I will send you to the entrance of the trial grounds. Don’t forget if you want to come back just come using your ” Zephirah waved her hand and Dro’s surroundings changed. He now appeared in the beginning. Before he could look around his surroundings a voice entered his ears, “YOu have returned?”
Dro turned his head and saw Erylis standing before him. He looked at her and thought, “Erylis is not any worse then Zephirah.” He smiled and then he said, “I am back,”
Erylis looked at Dro and thought, “Something about him feels different. ” She asked, “How did you do?”
Dro bowed his head and said, “I am sorry, Erylis.”
The Queen of widened her eyes in surprise and she said, “You called me Erylis for the first time.”
Dro tilted his head, “Did I really?”
Erylis sighed, “No matter. Tell me why do you apologise. Did you fail the trials like my father?”
When Dro saw that his favourability with Erylis increased he was slightly surprised. He thought, “Favourability increased just because I said her name?” Dro shook his head and explained, “That’s not it. I am sorry because the trials will not open anymore.”
Erylis frowned and asked, “What do you mean they won’t open anymore?”
Dro said, “Let’s go out of the underground. I will tell you everything you want to know as we walk.”
Erylis nodded her head, “Alright. Let’s go.” The two together walked out of the dungeon.
Erylis asked, “So can you explain what do you by saying that it won’t open anymore?”
Dro nodded, “When I have passed the fifth trial, I was told that the trial grounds will be forever closed.”
Erylis suddenly stopped in her tracks. Her eyes opened wide, shock appeared on her face and she asked with a shaking voice, “What did you say?!”
Dro stopped as well. He turned his eyes to her face. He saw the shock on her face and he said, “I have passed all of the trials and because I passed them all the trial grounds will forever be closed.”
Erylis body shook and she took a step back. She looked at Dro deeply and excitement rose in her heart. She asked with excitement, “You have really passed all of the trials?”
Dro nodded, “I did.”
She gulped down her saliva and said, “I made a correct decision by sending you inside the trial.” Erylis smiled and said, “Let’s go to the throne room. I want to hear about each and every trial that you took.”
Erylis hastened her steps and they walked to the throne room with a hastened pace. During this journey to the throne room, they didn’t talk. They just walked to the throne room in silence. When the two entered the throne room. Erylis turned her head to Dro and said, “Tell me about the trials you took.”
Dro nodded his head and began, “The first trial required me to answer a riddle.”
Erylis tilted her head in confusion a riddle?”
Dro nodded, “Yes after I answered the riddle correctly I passed the trial.”
Erlyis asked, “What was the riddle?”
Dro said, ” The riddle was this, I’m always there, some distance away. Somewhere between land or sea and sky I lay. You may move towards me, yet distant I stay. What am I.”
Erylis nodded her head and said, “It’s horizon.”
Dro nodded his head, “That’s right. After I passed this riddle came the second trial.”
Erylis asked, “What was the reward for the first trial?”
Dro scratched his head and replied, “I received no reward for the first trial as my blood was already as pure as it could have been. The reward should have been the purification of my blood.”
Erylis nodded, “So what was the second trial?”
Dro said, “The second trial had me answer three questions.”
Erylis asked, “What kind of questions were those?”
Dro said, “The first two questions were irrelevant to the trial as the guardians wanted me to come up with my own answer. From this trial, I received an ability.”
Erylis nodded her head and said, “Go on.”
Dro continued, “The third trial required me to solve the maze with complete darkness around me and it rewarded me with extra stat growth per level. The fourth trial required me to survive an attack. This gave me another ability.”
Erylis frowned and asked, “You only needed to survive an attack?”
Dro nodded, “Yes, that was all.”
Erylis didn’t ask further as she asked, “What about the fifth trial then?”
Dro nodded, “The fifth trial was the easiest one of them all.”
Erylis showed a confused expression, “The last trial was the easiest one? What did you have to do?”
Dro smiled, “I didn’t have to do anything.”
Erylis once again showed confusion and she asked, “What?”
