Alternate World Online - Chapter 118
The feather shot up into the air and the skeleton looked up. The skeleton closely watched as the feather slowly descended onto the ground. Valeif could see that the skeleton anxiously waited for the feather to hit the ground.
As it fell to the ground it created unnaturally and this made the skeleton even more anxious. As the skeleton watched the feather, Valeif didn’t even glance at it, she instead looked at the anxious skeleton.
Three breaths of time passed and the feather hit the ground, Valeif’s eyes moved downward, “It seems you are not lucky, skeleton.”
“Please, let me serve you. I beg of you,” The skeleton got on his knees.
Valeif shook her head to his pleading, “No, the feather did not face you and you lost.”
<+0 XP>
“You b*tch!” The skeleton bellowed and got up on his feet.
<100/100 HP>
The skeleton charged at Valeif. She narrowed her eyes and immediately raised her arm, she readied herself for combat. Since Valeif had already encountered monsters in Hel, she was not caught off guard by the sudden aggression of the skeleton Young Master Goldie.
Valeif with her arm raised took a step back and cast,
The skeleton appeared out of nowhere, it looked at the enemy before him and charged. Its bones clanked. Valeif after summoning the first skeleton had to wait ten seconds before summoning the second. She didn’t what she could only do with no weapon or attack skills – she retreated back a few steps.
The summoned skeleton approached Goldie and slashed his weapon at him,

<77/100 HP>
Goldie’s path was blocked by the first skeleton and the NPC did what he could only do at this situation, Goldie slashed at the skeleton that blocked his path.

<35/50 HP>
Ten seconds have elapsed and Valeif cast her spell,
The summoned skeleton move towards Goldie and the first one launched another attack at the skeleton Goldie,

<45/100 HP>
Goldie returned back the attack,

<13/50 HP>
The second skeleton appeared at Goldie’s side and slashed at him at this time Valeif skill came off cooldown, but she didn’t use it. Seeing the situation Valeif thought, “There is no need to summon one more, the two skeletons are more than enough.”
<-32>
<13/100 HP>
Goldie snapped his head to the second skeleton and slashed at him, moving his eyes away from the first and at this time the first skeleton landed a hit on Goldie’s back.

Even without summoning the third skeleton, Goldie fell dead. Valeif looked at the fallen bones of her enemy and saw that the corpse was glowing in a yellow colour.
“That means that the skeleton dropped items, right?” Valeif thought and she approached the corpse. She touched the body and a loot window appeared.
Valeif shrugged her shoulders and she picked up the item,
“What is this?” Valeif mumbled as she accessed her inventory and selected the book.
Valeif smirked and learnt the book.
“Even if the quest had given me 0 experience points, I have received something good from it.” Valeif though as laughed lightly.
The girl closed her inventory window looked around the area. She turned her head to the two skeletons and she mumbled, “Will they remain indefinitely?” The two skeletons looked at Valeif without moving. She scratched her head and shrugged her shoulders.
“Well no matter,” She thought.
Her eyes moved away from the two skeletons and she once again plucked a feather. Before she could even throw the feather a sudden wind blew and it carried the feather down the direction of North-West.
“It seems my luck is guiding me.” Valeif thought as she rushed after the feather. After following the feather for ten breaths of time the ruins appeared before her. She didn’t glance at the architecture or the state of the buildings, she only followed after the feather.
The feather entered the building and Valeif followed after it. It dove through the room and went into the basement. The feather finally hit the door and it fell down onto the ground.
“It seems I have reached the end of my path,” mumbled Valeif as she walked up to the door. The door that stood before her was a simple wooden door. It had no locks as it was just a simple door.
The girl put her hand on the door and pushed it open, with the creaking sound it opened and beyond it, she saw a large gate. On the gate itself, there were 12 skeleton heads planted, forming a circle and in the middle of the circle – a hole could be seen.
Below the hole words were written, “Those who seek my inheritance, place the heart of your most treasured one and only by doing this you will have the right to receive it.”
