Hunter passed back and forth as he listened to Dino, “So, why wait until now to tell me that I have a summon? You could have told me as soon as you found out? I could have been practicing on summoning Levi?” Hunter bellowed.
Dino leaned back, “Look, we were moving, and I thought we would have time for you to learn but with the unexpected delays. I made the decision of not telling you until things were more stable as it would be easier as to train with not worrying about dying?”
Hunter gritted his teeth and spun down as he sat across from Dino. “On top of this, Luna has not improved once. So, let us begin with this summoning so I can hopefully help Luna recover by summoning Levi? By the way, who was Levi? And what connection does he have to Luna?”
Dino’s face stiffened as he closed his eyes, “He was my younger brother, River, and a close friend to Luna in her childhood. Lovell was able to make him into a spirit summon before officially joining Luna. He was able to conjure himself using the last bit of Lovell’s power granted to him after being transferred to you.”
Hunter shook his head in amazement. “That man, Lovell, is one caring guy. Thinking one step ahead. Anyway, how do I do summoning magic?”
Dino turned to one of his men, “Let us first start with you closing your eyes and feeling your magic? We need to gauge the amount of man you actually have?”
Hunter nodded and closed his eyes, he could hear the man talking him through the process. Hunter could feel his magic flowing threw his body. His mind became apparent, as he felt someone touching his shoulder. He opened his eyes to see who it was but found he was standing in a foreign place. The sky’s the colour of a sunset, while the land was broken and floating. Hunter stared in amazement.
‘you came, finally.’ A voice spoke from behind.
Hunter Turned around to see a beast woman standing behind him. ‘Who are you?’ He asked her.
She smiled as she caressed his face, ‘I am your mother, Ulva.’ Hunter began to tear up as he stared at her. ‘I am, so glad you and Uriel met. I was watching you two as you grew. I know that we met last time under unfavourable conditions. But yet, I am glad everything has worked out in some way.’
Hunter grabbed his mother hands, trying to collect himself, ‘I am sorry but’
‘I know about your brother, he is fine and is worried about you. Now you came here not to see me but to contact your summon, that Uriel left you.’ Ulva explained.
Hunter nodded as a lion walked over to him. Hunter felt a strange connection as he stared at the lion. ‘Is this?’
Ulva nodded, ‘Yes, this is Levi. He has been waiting ever so patiently for you.’
Hunter could hear the sarcasm as she spoke. Hunter walked up to Levi as he stared at him. ‘So, your Levi. I hope that I have enough Ky for you to able to at least talk to Luna?’
‘Likewise,’ Levi pressed his head against Hunters’ hand. ‘Now that we have met. Things should be a lot easier. Just call my name, and I shall come forth. Hopefully?’
Hunter sighed as he felt anxious about summoning him. ‘Right, umm, how do I get back?’
Ulva smiled as she grabbed his hand. ‘Just think of returning, and you will wake up. That’s it. Lovell was taught all of this when he was noticeably youngbut enough about that. Just focus.’
Hunter closed his eyes. He then felt shaking as he shot his eyes open, Dino was shaking him before sighing in relief. “By the heavens, Hunter. You scared me.”
Hunter felt stiff as he shifted his weight. “How long was I gone for?”
Dino sat back as he breathes a sigh of relief. “Eight hours.”
Hunter shot a stare at Dino, his eyes wide as he opened his mouth, “Eight HOURS! It was like more than ten-fifteen minutes tops wherever I was?”
Dino shifted closer to Hunter, “Yeah, because the spirit world’s time is wacky compared to hear? I am betting you saw all of the floating islands and possibly either blue sky’s or a rouge coloured one?”
Hunter nodded as he stared at his hands, “Yeah, it was like staring at a sunset.”
Dino turned to the man who helped Hunter, “You probably were in the area where those who have done little evil as each area is different and each isle being a spiritual plain.”
Hunter smiled as Dino furrowed his brow at Hinter’s expression, “You met some there other than Levi? Didn’t you?”
Hunter nodded, “Yeah, my mother, she was happy to see me and said she was proud of me in her own way.” He turned to Dino, “I am ready to try and Summon Levi. Hopefully, I can do it on one shot.”
Before Dino could agree and other of his men walked in, “Sorry to intrude, but a beastman is here to speak with you, his name is Digon Wolfcrown. He said that Shadow had sent him to talk?”
Dino nodded at the man, “Thank you, send him over.” The man bowed as he left. “Well, we better tell this Digon what is going on, then hopefully we can get Luna fixed.”
Hunter nodded in agreement as a wolf beastman entered the tent. “Sorry for the intrusion, but I am”
Hunter stood up, staring at Digon, “Lowell!”
Digon turned to Hunter, “Wait, Hunter, what are you doing here?”
Hunter stared at Digon, “Well short story, we found those theyans, and they agreed to help and then told Luna and me about Dino and his men, we came to ask for their aid and things didn’t go too well at first.” Hunter awkwardly turned away, looking at Dino.
“What happened?” Digon growled at the situation.
Dino closed his eyes and explained. “I imprisoned Hunter as he spoke, and Luna kind of broke down? She is so distraught even after being told that I released Hunter. After finding out about what has been going and how Hunter was no longer Azoths puppet. My stubbornness destroyed her in a way that I feel fairly guilty for.”
Digon turned to Hunter, waiting for more information, “And have you a plan to fix this?”
Hunter looked at Dino before turning to Digon, Yes, Uriel left a summon that was close to Luna as a child when he was alive. I just connected with him just before you arrived. And was about to attempt to conjure him for the first time.”
Digon calmly took a deep breath, “Then do it, don’t worry about me being here.”
Hunter nodded as he stood up, he closed his eye and focus on his magical energy. “Levi, I summon thee!”
Water from a pot flowed in front of him as a young man appeared before him. Dino stood up slowly, watching as Levi appeared before them. Hunter opened his eyes to see him standing before him.
Hunter stepped back in shock. As Levi looked over himself, “Well, this a huge surprise? You have about the same amount of Ky as Lovell, if not less?”
Digon turned to Hunter as his eye began to glow, “Hunter, your eye’s Their glowing?!”
Hunter blinked as he looked around for a mirror, “Wait, what?” Dino handed him a mirror. “What thethat’s not possible? Don’t theyans have this? Yet we all know I am human?”
Digon turned to Dino, who was shocked as everyone in the room began to ponder on how Hunter had the mana glow in his eyes. Then he remembered something, “I think I might have the answer?”
Hunter and Dino turned to Digon, while Levi moved beside Hunter. “What is it?” Hunter asked.
Digon turned to Levi as he began his theory, “It might be a stretch, but what if you are a reverse flow, similar to how theyan magic flows out into the world for people to use. If I am correct, Hunter might be a rare case that has not been seen in over three trillion years?”
Dino blinked at Digon, “What how would records like that still exist? Yeah, sure we have records for millions of years ago due to magic preservation spells? But trillions of years?”
Digon glared at Dino, as Levi spoke up, “The world Library.”
Dino and Hunter turned to Levi, “what is the world library?” Hunter asked.
“The world Library is a strange and magic-filled place somehow found in the core of the planet. There are a few doors in existence that lead to it on the surface but change locations every six thousand years. The current one is in Iras’s major trading city, Lamar.” Digon explained. “The library records all events that happen in the world from a persons’ whole life, the rise and fall of kingdoms, tectonic shifts. Everything.”
Dino held his chin as Hunter turned to Levi, “Did you know about these two? In general?”
Levi shook his head, “No, I did not know what the world library was, but I did know of its existence.”
Digon walked over to Hunter, “Feel blessed, you have something so rare that many would kill to have.”
Hunter blushed at the thought, “Yet, it’s also a heavy burden as people can use you as a portable battery pack of mana.” Dino changed the tone very quickly.
Digon went to speak but stopped to turn and see Luna standing behind them. Her eyes hollow as she walked over to Dino.
“Please release him, please.”
She repeats herself as Levi touched her shoulder. “Luna, wake up. It Levi.”
Luna turned to Levi, Hunter held his breath as she looked at him. “Levi?”
“That’s right, the summon spirit that was once your friend, River. Remember?”
Luna’s eyes seemed to gain life as she stared at him, “Levi! Wait! How are you”
He grabbed her arms, “Luna, I was transferred to Hunter. As to be able to protect you. And one other thing” Levi narrowed his eyes at her.
“What is that?”
Levi raised his hands as if to cradle her head but opted to clench his hands into a fist and twisting them against temples. She cried out in agony as Levi glared at her. “You need to let what happens to others bother you to the point where they return. You can see them!”
She pulled away from him as Hunter placed his hand on her shoulder, “Welcome back, Lady Luna.”
Her eyes filled with joy as she looked around, she noticed everyone had annoyed expression. “How long was I”
“About a month and a half. And Hunter was freed withinwhat a day or two after? Where we were told that he was the Ren-Ky of hope?” Dino asked Hunter.
Hunter nodded, “Yeah, that sounds about right. Yet little miss strong and independent here broke down into a sorry mess, right after I was imprisoned. When I knew everything would be alright, somehow.” Hunter shook his head at her, “But at least after all our efforts Levi used what magic Lovell left him to tell Dino what to do, yet we have been busy with hiccup after hiccup to where he was finally able to tell me what we could do to bring you back to your senses.”
Luna turned red in embarrassment. “Sorry about that, Hunter. It’s just when you were being taken away like that was way too hard on me, it seems.”
Hunter grabbed her and hugged her tight, “I am just glad t worked. And we can get back on to our mission.”
Luna nodded sheepishly as Digon smiled, “Well then, let us do what you came for in few days. I will have to return in the morning but would like all of us here to speak once I get back.”
Hunter agreed, “Yes, Luna and I will stay here until everything has been settled, as it will be a great opportunity to recap Luna on what has gone on so far.” Digon nodded as he left.
Luna turned to Hunter as he smiled. “Get some rest, you haven’t really rested well since the whole ordeal started.”
Luna nodded as Dino called for one of his men to help her back to her tent. He then turned to Hunter. “Are you going to tell her about your magic situation?”
Hunter nodded his head, “Yes, it might be best to tell her. That way, she does not ask the million question game on how Levi here, is human formed?”
Dino agreed as Hunter returned to his tent.
