Amnesia - Chapter 37

Ares was trying again and again.But Anastasia’s phone was unreachable.

“The number you’re calling is currently unreachable.Please redial later!!” Ares threw the phone in anger.Anastasia never did that.She is a very sensible woman.Wherever she goes,she informs him.He became worried.Its quite late but she is not back at home yet.

“Why do you want my life?Who are you?What have I done to deserve this?” Anastasia shouted in grief.She didn’t have any memory.

“Your biggest sin is that you are being born,Cassandra!You shouldn’t come into this world,shouldnt see the light and shouldn’t dared to live…” The woman shouted in a cold voice.

The lady kicked her in the belly.Anastasia started screaming in the intense pain.She was already in a lot of pain for this three days.Now she was feeling like all the organ in her abdomen was ripping apart.She fell on the ground.One of her hand was holding her abdomen,she was trying to endure the unbearable pain.

The lady threw another kick on her chest.She started groaning in pain.She was feeling intense pressure from her inside.A flow of blood and vomit came out from her mouth.She was feeling like she is going to die in next few seconds.Everything before her eyes were turning on blurry.

The lady pulled her hair and made her stand up on her feet.She threw a punch on her cheek.It immediately left a red mark.

“You should not be alive,Cassandra!”She mumbled under her breath.

Anastasia was about to open her mouth for saying something but lady didn’t give her the opportunity.She slapped her on the other cheek.This time the slap not only touched her cheek it also touched her nose.Blood started flowing recklessly from her nose.Anastasia was trying to defend her hard.But her weak body is too weak to stop her brutal steps.She couldn’t understand what she did wrong to deserve a life like this.Her vision was constantly becoming blurry.Her whole body was covering with blood.The pain was so intense that it is now unbearable for her.Even if the lady left her alone now,she would start begging for death.

” Please stop!!What have I done?Why are you doing this to me?”Anastasia tried to plead.Her speech was slurred now.Every word she was uttering that was with extreme difficulties.

The woman pulled her hair.

“As I said earlier,you shouldn’t be born.Now face the consequences,Cassandra!” The lady whispered in her ears.

She threw her on the floor.Anastasia’s whole body started aching badly.She Was feeling like it is the end.

The lady’s eyes suddenly lit up.As if she was enjoying her favourite game show on the television screen.Anastasia’s pleading wasn’t able to create any mercy in her brutal heart.There is a common proverb that,”Women are the nation of mother’s!”But it is now a useless line for her.She had no mercy!!!

She stabbed her in the abdomen.Anastasia was so weak that even screaming in pain was impossible for her for now.Her breathing started uneven.

“Please show me your face…” She mumbled every word with so much difficulty.Tears were rolling down from her beautiful brown eyes.

“I am sorry to not fulfill your last wishes!” The lady stabbed her another time.

Anastasia closed her eyes.May be this is the end.

The lady pulled out the knife from her wound and wiped the blood with a tissue paper.She took the knife in her pocket and left the place hurriedly leaving wounded Anastasia behind.

Anastasia was feeling that she was constantly falling in the darkness.The whole world was collapsing before her.She suddenly started feeling so light.She felt that instead of the shabby horror house she was some other else.

Suddenly her eyes were about to be turned blimd as a lot of light was lingering in her eyes.She covered her eyes with her backside of the palm.

“Cassandra…..” A heavy male voice played on her both ears.

She tried to stare at the source of voice.But the light was turning her eyes blind.Silenty the light started to lessen.The light is bland now.Its is endurable to here eyes now.She stared at the person calling her.In the bland light,she saw a person.May be a male.

A very tall figure.He was dressed in a black hoodie and long loose gown like dress.He had large two wings that spread from his backside and sword in his left hand.She was unable to see her face as it a dark shadow covered his face.As if he came from some ancient time or he is dressed in the costume of some ancient god.

“Who are you?” Cassandra said in a very surprised tone.As she couldn’t figure out what is currently happening with her.

“Thanatos….” The person had a very heavy voice.

“Thanatos!!!” Cassandra started thinking if she knew somebody who had the same name as Thanatos.

“I am the god of death….”

She can clearly feel that the person in front said that in a mocking voice.

“God of death!!!Where am I now?Am I dead already?” Cassandra was surprised.She didn’t know that death was such a quick process.

“You are between death and life now,Cassandra.”

“That means I am going to die in a few moments?”She was currently at a loss.She

is in the new world.Thanatos,the god of death was infront of her.May be death is like this!!He will kill her in a few minutes.

Thanatos burst out laughter.Cassandra didn’t understand what is funny here that she is going to die in a few moments.

” Will you give up your life that easily?Won’t you fight for your life?Won’t you fight for justice?”Thanatos’s voice was stiff.As he didn’t expect to give up Cassandra so easily…
