Amnesia - Chapter 39

Thanatos stood up from his throne.He blew his hand over her face.

“Sleep Cassandra,When you will open your eyes you will be in a new world….”

Cassandra was trying hard to open her eyes.But she felt that her eyelashes were so heavy.It was to difficult to open her eyes.She felt the she was drifting into deep sleep.She was falling.She was falling from a very high place.Everything was rolling and spinning in front of her.

“Cassandra,save them….” She heard a voice lingering in his ears.She tried to remember who has this voice.She remembered.It was Thanatos’s.

She couldn’t think any further.Everything before she turned black.

Cassandra opened her eyes.Sunshine was directly falling on her pale face.Her head was badly aching.She tried to understand where she is now.She checked her entire surrounding.She is currently lying at the lake side.Her whole body was drenched with water and mood.She tried to get up.She took a look upon her self.She was wearing a kimono or something gown like dress.A belt was tied in her waist.Her dress was looking like as it was some ancient rural woman dress.She couldn’t figure out where she is now and why she is wearing this kind of dress.

She tried to remember everything.She remembered everything about the woman killed her.After that she met Thanatos.Wait?Was that real?In real she met with God of death?Is it even possible!!And furthermore where is she now?

She started to take another look of her surrounding.A very big lake.The water was very clear.Beside the lake there is may be a forest as there is many tree and a the area is little bit darker seemed from here.To the opposite direction of forest,there seemed to may be a village.She tried to remember did she ever heard of a place like this.Where is she now!!!!

She went down to the lake.The lake water depth seemed to be great.May be it is a deep lake.She just went till knee length water.She started washing the mud from her dress and skin.She washed her face.Her beautiful white skin that was spoiled by mud and dirt all washed away.It was clean now.She again get up from the lake and stood on the solid ground.She started deciding which direction she should go.Toward the forest or village.May be village option is the best for now.May be the forest could be dangerous.

Her concentration was broken when she heard a noise.It was coming from the forest.

“Run,everyone….Run faster.They will come again….” Somebody shouted.

“Oh god…save us.Why did we do wrong?Why is god punishing us like this?”It was a female elderly woman’s voice.

Cassandra saw a bunch of people running from forests toward the village.She couldn’t figure out what was currently happening.

” Excuse me.”She tried to call one of them.But nobody was in the state of listening to her.Everybody was busy running as if they were chased by any scary creature.

She was just standing there like a fool as if she was at a loss what to do now.

“Hey child…” Cassandra heard someone was calling her.She stared at the voice that was calling her.

She saw an elderly woman was standing behind her.She is may be in her early sixties.She was dressed in a ash color kimono like dress that the length reached to the floor.She had a knife hanging from her waist.Her hair was tied neatly in a bun on the top of her head.She couldn’t understand why but thought the woman was reminding her about someone.

“Hey,child.Who are you?What is your name?” The woman asked her.

“My name is Cassandra.” She replied politely.

“I have never seen you here before.Do you come from outside?” The elderly woman asked her.

“Yes.I came from very far.” Cassandra replied.Actually that’s true.May be she came from very far.May be she is now in a very ancient time where the light of modern technology didn’t even reach.

“Oh…Do you have any place to stay here?”

“No…I don’t know anyone here.” Cassandra replied.

“Oh…then that’s the problem.But don’t worry.You can stay with me.” The lady stated.

“Okay.” Cassandra smiled at her.Now she remembered.The elder lady was reminded about Katty from her amnesic life.May be she got another Katty again in her fantasy life also.

“Come with me…” The lady declared.

Cassandra nodded and started following her.

“My house is a little bit far from here.You have to walk for sometimes.Hope you don’t mind.” The lady smiled at her.

“No…I won’t mind.I can walk.Don’t worry for me…” Cassandra smiled her back.She was feeling warmth in her heart.

“You can call me granny…Everyone in this village,the young people like you call me granny,child…” She said to her.

“Okay,granny.” Cassandra was quite surprised.She met with her for the first time.Yet she is giving her the place to stay with her and even behaving like as if she is some own relative to that eldeely woman.

“Just a little more.We are about to reach.”

Cassandra nodded.

“This is my little hut.Hope you like it.” Granny told her.

Cassandra took a liking to the house.During coming here she saw many houses in her way.All are looking very different and ancient.Most of the house are built of stone,straw and bamboos.May be in this time the houses are made of like this.

“Nice…I like your house.” Cassandra complimented.

“Come inside.” Granny entered the house.Cassandra followed her behind.

The house had only one large room.There are few ingredients for daily usage maximum of them are made with soil.

A shadow of sweet smile started peeking at her cherry lips.It is not the expensive cement or rod that can build a very good house.Sometimes the most valuable item for building a good house can be considered as ‘love’.
