“You can stay here.As long as you want.” Granny said to her.

“Don’t you have any relatives?”Cassandra was curious.She was elderly woman.She should have a son or daughter who should look after her at this age.

“No…” Granny sighed a long breath.Suddenly she looked very sad.As if she remembered something that made her so sad.

“What happened to them?” Cassandra asked her.She felt that something was wrong clearly from her expression.

“They are killed.” Granny sat on the mat.She seemed to be indifferent.

Cassandra was surprised.She didn’t expect that.

“How?Who killed them?”Cassandra asked him.

” They killed all of my own.”A drop of tears rolled from her eyes.Her wrinkled eyes were showing a lot of pain.

“Who are they?”

“The monsters!” Granny sighed.

“I can’t understand anything.Can you please explain?Who are this monsters and why they kill people?And back then why the people were running from the forests.” Cassandra was feeling very restless.She was feeling something was not right.There is mysterious truth hidden behind everything.

“Every years the monsters come.They kill people and drink their blood,eat their flesh.Today they came to warn us that they will come again in a few days.They at first used to kill people recklessly,used to destroy our home.But,one day we decided to deal with them.Every year we have to offer them a dozen of our young men for their cruel purpose.They kill them.” Granny said in a single breath.

“What!” Cassandra was speechless.She knew this kind of monster’s story was written into the kids fairy tale book.But now she will be facing it in real.She never knew there could be this kind of monster.

“What kind of monsters are they?Why do they need to kill people?”

Granny showed her another mat and signed her to sit there.She sat on the mat.

“Child…They are man eater Monsters.Actually a long time ago they were not monsters.They were normal human like us.They used to live in our neighbour village.But the problem started,when a saint went to their village.Instead of respecting him,the villagers bullied him.Even one of them badly hurt him.The saint died that day.But the saint was not ordinary. Before his death,he cursed the all villagers.May be the god decided to punish the villagers for their unforgivable sin.” Granny stopped here.

“Then?” Cassandra asked.She never thought in her lifetime that this kind of story can be true.

“God heard the prayer of the bullied saint.He turned them into monsters from villagers.actual in reality they are cursed human in disguise of monster’s body.They were no longer like human being more.All of their appearance changed.They grew bigger than is,their full body covered with hair like wolves,they have large canine teeth.They totally look like beast.Just seeing their face,you soul will be started trembling with fear.Their food habit remained no longer like a human.For living they need human flesh and blood.So they decided to attack nearby village.They sleep d

for a whole year and wake up for just twice.Once to warn us to be prepared and another once to receive a dozen humans.”

Cassandra forgot to blink during the whole story.So this is her challenge.She had saved the villagers from those cursed man eater creatures.

“Don’t You guys try to kill them?Why do you let your people to be killed by them?” Cassandra asked granny.She was surprised why they endured this kind of brutal attack.

“Actually we tried.We tried a lot to find a way to kill them.But none of our weapons can kill them.Even the weapon can’t invade into their skin a bit.As if their skin is made of iron.” Granny closed his eyes.

“That’s sad.We should find a way to solve this problem as soon as possible.” Cassandra sighed for a long breath.She needed to find a way.otherwise it will be neither good for the villagers nor for her.She will be captivated in the demon world for endless time.

“We?” Granny stared at her.

“Yes,we…What’s wrong?” Cassandra asked.

“You should leave here as soon as possible from here.Otherwise may be next you also can be sacrificed for them.”

“No…I won’t leave.I want to help you all.”

“Don’t be stubborn my child.You will end up being killed like others.”

“No..trust me.May be I can stop this brutal attack..”

Granny sighed.She took a good look at her.She seemed to be just like a teenager how can she help them.

“Tell me more about them.How much they are in number?”

“They are now twelve in number. They were more in number.But all of them died due to unknown cause leaving only two monsters.”

“Then how are they twelve in number?Are they able to reproduce a child?” Cassandra was curious.

“No.But every year after we sacrifice our people they become twice in number.”

“Do you know the cause how they died.” Cassandra wanted to know badly.If they know the cause may be she can find a way to kill them.

“No my child.The cause is still unknown.If we knew the cause we could destroy them earlier.We don’t have to lose our people.”

Cassandra nodded sadly.Thats mean she needed to find her own.She wouldn’t let them sacrifice their more people.She would save them at any cost.

“Did you eat something?Aren’t you hungry?” Granny asked her.

Cassandra just smiled.She almost forgot that she is still human.She need to eat for carry on her system.But as many things happened in her life.She was killed,then she met Thanatos,he gave her a new opportunity and ended up in this new world.She almost forgot about the feelings of hunger.Now she remembered.
